I was a moderator on these forums several years back but then got banned during the 2012 'gutter exodus' mass bannings. Now that most everyone has moved past it and the site has a fresh new staff, I figured it would be the perfect time to appeal my ban and get back to talking to my old friends. Hopefully some of the old guard is still around (rebs, sene, corpt, etc). I don't play MTG anymore but I'll still be active in the Mafia / Entertainment forums. This new site layout is also going to take some getting used to...
I joined the site after winning several Pro Tours and 5K's because I wanted to help out less experienced players get better. I was instantly modded to Standard as a result and spent several months keeping close tabs on double posts and that one user who created gimmicks to talk to himself (he played Mono White Angels if I recall). I was then modded to Extended but that format died shortly after, RIP Extended. Around this point I started to play a forum based text game known in certain circles as "Mafia", though my moderation duties were soon needed here as well due to the presence of a user who derailed multiple games then returned under gimmicks after getting banned (Yamachura I believe his name was). I became a global moderator who did nothing but sit in mod chat all day and spam, allowing hundreds of gimmicks of banned members to slip through my fingers. I was such dead weight that I was forced to resign in shame. A few months later the site underwent a face lift as a member known as Asreel took over and I was able to get my old job back. Shortly after he took over, I was brainwashed by a devious forum hooligan into giving him my account, which he then used to archive a subforum that was about to be closed. This resulted in my ban and subsequent internet exile, where I spent the next two years floating in cyberspace waiting for the moment when I could make my glorious return. Of course I had to agree to a few terms to get unbanned: I am no longer allowed to use certain smileys, I cannot post on Tuesdays, and I must take court mandated sensitivity training.
I rmember you. TBH, I had nothing against you, but already in your few posts here, I see a negativity that we hadn't had to deal with in a few years. It's been really pleasant, please don't bring it back.
Welcome back CK. Best of luck on the return and perhaps I will see you around. I was a somewhat newish mod still when everything sort of went down so I guess we didn't interact with each other that much other than you used to call me USB lol. I still remember the days when you and Viper handled commander.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

I promise I won't bring back any pleasant things. I'm content to leave the status quo where it is.
Why don't we all just get along?
