This thread is for the discussion of DarkRitual's latest article, The Arena, Edition 2: Trading Post. Due to technical issues the thread that is normally created when an article is published didn't occur, so I have created this thread to allow you to talk about it. As always, please keep your comments on topic.
You said its supposed to be standard.. Garruk Relentless is not standard and you have a few other cards in there also that aren't standard. Shouldn't you have allowed for some more changes then just that?

The Sliver deck was built back during Innistrad Standard, so it has the check lands, Cavern and Garruk. I figure rather than going through the hassel of converting it to Theros, just keep it at least Innistrad Standard legal (so that would mean no Theros stuff).
So game one...Trading Post got Oblivion Ringed? If it was Detention Sphered as the article says then that's a problem since they weren't supposed to be mainboarded.
I like the idea behind the article, though. Nice to see some brewing.

Oh, maybe I didn't make it clear. The "sideboarding" happened before game 1.

Growing it long in the back,
So savage and so free.

Definitely open to suggestions.
