Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
Bant Eldrazi vs Bant Humans
Bant Company vs Dredge
Scapeshift vs Eldrazi Tron
UR turns vs DS
The latest roud was a DS mirror featuring a well-known pro so they probably wont pass that up. Was pretty intense too.
And they really do have to find something to fill up the time between rounds other than just throwing Modern Challenge lists on screen.

Game two between Grixis Faeries and 5C Death's Shadow was probably the best since the start of the coverage, along with game two of the Death's Shadow Jund mirror match.
I found it interesting to listen to the conversations being had with the actual player, that it was almost always correct to tap out for Tasigur rather than hold up a reactive spell. I mean, I agree with him, but I think it's unfortunate that playing things quickly and recklessly is often more correct than holding back and playing cautiously. Either way, that was a pretty sweet match to watch.
In GP Kobe of the 22 Last Chance Trial Winners (of which I was one 5-0 on Jeskai Nahiri) only ONE was Death's Shadow. Even though the deck seemed to be all over the trials it just didn't win much. Tron and Living End were tearing things up from what I saw throughout the day. I also didn't face Death's Shadow in my LCT or on the Day One (14 rounds).
'till the fourth round it was plenty of Death's Shadow. Now it's becoming more and more diverse (last matches were Turns (feat. AF, who lost game four vs Jund's Shadow) vs Bant Eldrazi; Combo Elves vs Dredge and Bant Eldrazi vs Esper Goryo's. Now another Eldrazi Tron vs Abzan CoCo.
They may also be carefully selecting feature matches to showcase as many different decks as possible. Will be interesting to see the Day 2 breakdown.

I remember Ichikawa won a pretty large Japanese event a couple years back with Mentor delve/control. The deck never took off and a lot of people felt Mentor got worse without Probe but the card is still very powerful.
Yup, I played it in the past, that's why I asked. But I always felt like the same shell + Geist or cheap planeswalkers was better than playing Mentor in the same slots.
Geist is just weak as a maindeck creature. It's very hard to get through. It's quite powerful in the sideboard though

Then play Cryptic Commands, like the faeries player who got Tasigur through against Death's Shadows.

Now this is a match-up I can get behind.
And that quick snapshot of DS Jund dying at the end of the other match haha.

Yeah. That was a good one. Is Copenhagen swamped in Death's Shadow or are we seeing a diverse meta?
