I've been trying to find a decent deck that can run the undercosted/drawback fatties from Mirrodin and Ravnica blocks. I tried mono-U Tezzeret, didn't go over well, tried URB Stax, again no good. Tossed this pile together, and surprisingly it worked well enough to take a 2-1 win vs. Geist Aggro.
Obviously, the trick to the drawback fatties are Orb and Sundial with their triggers on the stack. I'm sure there's other good stuff out there to take care of the opponent's threats, but like I said, this is the rough draft that actually worked. With the minor bird ramp, Thrun and KotNT seemed a little better to have a harder to remove threat and something else to play that doesn't hurt w/o Orb or Sundial.
I don't have any major ideas on the SB yet, probably 2x Damnation, 2x Mutilate, 2x Thorn of Amethyst, maybe 1-2x Bloodbond March.
The problem with this deck is and has always been how yall love going big as possible. You cast leveler and I echoing truth your orb.... What happens next? These decks are the easiest decks to beat. Rather why not use creatures that are playable without orb or sundial? Use orb as a defensive card rather than the everything. Use pit dwellers and creatures that give you a chance rather than auto lose cards.
I'm curious as to the Arashi in your list. Is this primarily vs delver? Windstorm or Raking Canopy would seem to be better/more cost effective for that, and even then I don't think I would devote slots to something anti flying only. With the p/t of the creatures, Ulvenwald Tracker seems pretty decent for removal on a stick, albeit more fragile than Arashi.
I'm merely having difficulty seeing the argument of running him.
Mainly as another out for either of the hunted guys. His ability wipes away the fliers and big enough to take on the other tokens as well. Ive by no means tried the list out and its been a pet card of mine. If you think tracker is a better card for that slot then fair enough. Both are randomly good against some decks. This deck looks like it could take out alot of decks, and still has lots of room for improvement. That form was just an example of what I was talking about.

One of the ways I have improved this weakness is to add a third enabler in the form of Trickbind, so when folks try this not only are there two different permanent enablers, but also a reactive one.

Before Orb and friends I was able to use Echoing Truth pretty effectively to take care of the token produced by hunted creatures. That and assured smacks are why I always advocate Hunted Phantasm as the must use hunted.
My deck, which has been decently effective, is U/B because I feel control is the best way to enable the needed development time.
There is also the possibility of Ratchet Bomb as well, which improves m/u's by itself I think. I will be revamping my list and do some further testing with the suggestions. Thanks everyone.
