So, long story short, I am local in OKC, and am looking to buylist a substantial amount of cards at the GP this weekend.
I have a very large box full of Rav Block/ TSP Block/ and LOR block commons and uncommons, as well as formerly bulk rares from that era that have for no good reason become valuable cards. The stores around here are not interested in paying me 50 cents for a Utopia Mycon, but apparently large national outfits will.
I was told Troll and Toad was my best bet, and to avoid SCG, but I contacted Troll and Toad and they aren't coming.
So basically, I want recommendations of who to contact about being there, and who will buy the largest selection of cards. I'm also looking to receive store credit and not cash, so having a large selection of cards to purchase is important as well.
Again, the emphasis is on Lor/Rav/TSP block commons and uncommons, as well as rares from that era like Timber Protector and Followed Footsteps and Hundred Year Elixir that have become valuable.
If there is anyone from a vendor who will be there reading this, please contact me as I'd like to set up an appointment for Friday evening or Saturday morning (I'm not attending the GP so I'd liek to be able to walk in and meet with someone and get out as quickly as possible. We can also arrange some basic sorting of the cards by me (although I'm not wanting to go to the trouble of alphebetizing and sorting by color: it's a lot of cards.)
I also have some more recent stuff that I"m wanting to buylist as well, although I'm sure pretty much any vendor will take that stuff.
I should add that I have checked out the following vendors:
Troll and Toad has by far the best buy prices, but won't be attending.
ABUGames has by far the worst buy prices (don't know if they're attending and don't care, as they're offering substantially less than other vendors. Not even sure what the point of a buylist is if you're offering less than bulk prices).
SCG's prices are worse than T&T, but a lot better than ABU. Their buy list isn't as expansive, but they are interested in a fair amount of these cards. I don't know if they'll be attending as they haven't responded to my email.
Edit: Wow, heard back from SCG, and they won't be attending either? Are they just expecting attendance to be way down on this one? Texas GPs have all done fine, and although Texas is much more populated, OKC is closer to major US population centers, and this is the first GP with the new limited format.
Starting to look like my one opportunity to get rid of this crap is going to go by the wayside.
Don't worry too much, there will be a lot of vendors in attendance at the GP. Ask for quotes on the pile of cards you're selling there and write it down then sell to the vendor who will pay the most. If all else fails, buylist the cards online and send them to the store you buylisted them to. I have sent in many cards via buylist and gotten store credit or cash that way.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."

Any dealers to recommend in particular? I have no worries about finding people who can take the Aven Mindcensors, Remands, Imperious Perfects and other high demand itmes off my hands.
What I'm looking for is places like SCG and Troll and Toad that are big enough volume dealers that they're interestd in stuff like Wee Dragonauts, Flamekin Harbinger, Simian Spirit Guide, etc. More obscure casual stuff, that nevertheless maintains a reasonably high buylist price.
I am hoping to avoid doing it through the mail, because it becomes a lot less enticing prospect sorting out thousands of cards that are buylisted at a nickel when you have to sort by set, color, adn alphabetize, and send them in a spreadsheet. Much easier for both myself and the vendor for them to just sit down with the ubqiutuous price mat and put things in their respective squares.
I sold to a bunch of dealers at gencon; SCG was pretty good for chase cards. Typically they seem a bit low for more casual/low demand stuff. I'd just say shop around, and have an idea of how much you're looking for.
Cheers
