I want to place an order and have a friend pick it up at GP: D.C., but I've received conflicting information on whether that arrangement would be possible.
Please email me directly as soon as you can. I'll need your name or order number (if you've already placed one).
SCG office hours are Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm ET.
Nothing happens in the office on the weekends, but our retail store and Open Series is open for business.

Due to real-life obligations, I am taking a long break from Magic which may include missing the local Legacy GP. Apologies for not being able to keep my threads updated.
OK... it's 5 days until the 30 day mark, and there's no news about my package. What's weird is that a package I ordered 2 days before that one got delivered about 2 weeks ago.
DJ, could you please take a look at it? I'm sending you an e-mail with the order number.
Just wanted to follow up on this: Money was returned as requested. Great costumer service as always, thanks!
Just wondering if I should bother sending in a request about an order I placed maybe almost a month ago. Ordered some of the Zendikar Full Art Lands when they were on sale with some credit and got them sent first class, but never arrived. Anything they might do or am I SoL on it?
Is the initial e-mail one usually receives when submitting a buylist order automated? Typically I get two e-mails, one indicating that my list was received and then later an approval e-mail when the buyer has reviewed my submission.
I sent an e-mail yesterday with some cards to sell and never got that initial e-mail. Just wondering if it's just something nobody got to yet, or whether it's an automated system and the lack of a receipt confirmation means that my list didn't go through.
Sorry for the delay in responding. My email alerts don't always fire when folks reply here. I'm waiting to here back from the MTGSalvation staff about that.
Please contact me with your order number. Better late than never!
@huktonfonix,
The only purely automated emails we use are after hours acknowledgements of your request. If you email us after 6pm ET Monday-Friday or on Saturday/Sunday, you will get immediate/automated acknowledgement of your request, but not approval.
Our initial approval email for trade/sell requests are usually preformatted, but manually sent after our Buyers have reviewed the request.
I hope that helps and I'd be happy to dig more deeply into your specific request too, just Private Message me your name or the email you used to contact us originally!

And a last follow up - Order finally arrived, guess it wasn't completely lost after all. Arrangements where made for me to send it back to SCG at their cost. Perfect example of what costumer service should be, thanks!
I notice that SCG's buying of commons and uncommons is on hold until January 2014. I'll be attending SCG Indianapolis in January; Should I bring my bulk, or leave it at home? If you're back to buying, what will be the prices?

We will be buying bulk C/U again come January 1st. The price will be the same as pre-December: $3 per 1,000 in person, $5 per 1,000 through the mail (the extra $2 is to help defray shipping costs).
If I purchesed cards just prior to them going on sale, would it be possible to get a refund in the difference between the price paid and the sale price?
Thank you.
Email customer.service@starcitygames.com with your order # and the cards that went on sale, and they should be able to take care of you!
Is SCG getting out of the misprints & rarities market? I noticed that they recently ebayed off almost all the misprints & rarities they had that were worth something.

Hey there:
Not at all! We're just looking to cycle out the rarities/misprints we have on our website on an annual basis, to keep the rarities/misprints section fresh on our website. I'd expect to see a ton more rarities/misprints going up around February/March, and then get added monthly through December of next year!
Thanks for posting that. I won a decent chunk of them and was wondering why my shipping came up to $40 instead of getting combined if that isn't for couriered mail. I sent a message but didn't get an answer.

We sure do. There is no formal process on the user-side of our website for this, but we have a number of internal procedures that we use to keep up with such requests. Feel free to contact us at your convenience with the request and someone will reach out to you with more details!

Would it be acceptable to contact you or is there someone more specific?
I just spoke to the manager of our eBay division. He is not aware of any outstanding issues, so let me know what your auction ID is or feel free to contact them directly at ebay@starcitygames.com. That address is monitored by at least two people at the moment.
Tokyo here. I ordered a couple singles back in September using the International Priority Airmail option. Soon approaching the 30-day mark and they still haven't arrived yet. Any known issues with shipping to Japan? Really wish I went with a shipping option with tracking.
Just a follow up. A customer service rep contacted me to check on the status of my order. Sadly it did not arrive and there was no way to track its status. SCG offered to resend me the same singles or to give me store credit. I took the credit, ordered some different singles via UPS, and I received those without a problem. It sucks that didn't get the cards that I originally wanted but I appreciate the SCG reps for doing what they could to make my experience with them a positive one.
I'm looking through SCG's store and I'm finding that nearly all of the volatile cards, the ones that fluctuate with the meta, are all out of stock. Most of them are at all time lows right now, and as BNG gets spoiled the values of these cards look to rise.
Do we really think that SCG is out of these Standard staples, or are they claiming out of stock so they can buy at the low prices and sell for a marked up amount?
Curious indeed.....

Or they could be legitimately sold out at the moment, due to speculation from their customers (or just normal demand from their huge customer base), and just haven't gotten around to getting them restocked or are waiting on more stock before they can restock them online. No need to assume or speculate otherwise unless some evidence would show such a thing.
