My first experience with SCG, and i am very happy with it. Only 8 days to the cards to reach my home in Argentina. All well packed and in perfect state.

You guys keep proveing the age old saying "you get what you pay for". Yes you are not the cheapest around however, if I order something from you I KNOW I will get it no if's and's or but's. That is why your store sets the gold standards in customer service.
I have never had a problem ordering from SCG, I have a premium membership and have never had a problem. I do have one item on my mind.
I have been uncomfortable with the SCG preorder price guarantee, and viewed it as a marketing gimmick. That being said Temporal Mastery was selling on SCG for $40 and is still priced at that, while many of the other online retailers have adjusted to a price around $25-28. The inventory of Temporal Mastery seems to have been at 22 qty for the last few days which suggest players are buying from other sellers because of the price difference.
Does SCG plan to lower the price of Temporal Mastery to match other sellers and thus have to make good on the pre-order price guarantee or does it plan to hold the price?
I have a question somewhat related to wholesale/specialty items.
Awhile ago my brother told me SCG was selling a complete playset of all the painlands for like $50 or something. Does anyone know if this is still on the site or if there are similar unique deals like this? NOt necessarily land but just "non-standard" specials.

Looks like $28-$29 seems to be the lowest end (before shipping) of the other online store's prices at the moment. Its up to SCG what they choose to price stuff at. If they were selling it at $40, its up to them to decide when to lower the price. Its entirely possible that they might lower it down to $35 at some point. Expecting SCG to lower the price down to $30 or less to match other online stores without the reputation and customer base of SCG however I find a tad unlikely. I know a lot of people see the pre-order price guarantee and make assuptions of how SCG is going to suddenly start matching other's pre-sales prices and how great it will be as a result of that. That said, the pre-order price guarantee from what Ive seen, is what it is. If something starts high, and then stops selling, and in order to continue to sell the item, they lower the price, then the guarantee kicks in for those that paid more, simple as that. Heck, SCG may view it as a card that could end up taking off after the release as people play it and realize how good it is (I dont know how good it will be myself, Im just suggesting a possibility) and thusly may leave it where it is, just in case it does take off. Pricing cards isnt all about matching other sellers, there is often an amount of instinct involved, and past experience to work off of.
Im of course not speaking on behalf of anyone, just pointing out some thoughts and possibilities. Im sure an actual rep from SCG will respond soon enough.

Hey:
The item you're looking for is called "Bring the Pain! Set of 40 Painlands" and is currently sold out. We're currently really low on Shivan Reef, but as soon as we restock a decent quantity of them, I plan on having more of these sets built! (I'll send you a message on these boards once this is done - should be towards the end of June).

Hey there:
Happy to answer this question! Temporal Mastery was our fastest selling Mythic in SCG's history - we sold out of every copy we had earmarked for presale in under 24 hours after the card was spoiled, at prices between $24.99 and $39.99! The copies that are now available for sale on the website are from cancelled orders due to payment issues (bad CC #'s, Checks/money orders that did not arrive, etc).
We generally will not lower the price on an preorder item that we've sold out of completely. We have triggered several hundred Preorder Price Guarantees across over a dozen items on this Preorder period, so there will be a lot of people getting store credit as soon as the set ships on Friday!

Our buys are processed in the order that they arrive and as quickly as possible. Normally, buys are turned around in a single business day unless there is a complication with the buy or there are more buys coming in than usual.
In the future, if you feel that there has been a delay just give us a call and we can expedite your case to the best of our abilities or move you up on the payment processing schedule again.
No problem at all. I just wasn't sure what to expect since I hadn't done it before. I also wasn't sure if it was just a coincidence or not that it processed and posted to my account within minutes of this post going up Thanks for making my first trade a good experience!

Are these always English 9th/10th, or do you tend to use whatever you're overstocked on?

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
Are these always English 9th/10th, or do you tend to use whatever you're overstocked on?
It's generally a mix of all sets - I think we had all versions of all sets in the last mix. We try to have all four copies of any one land be from the same set, when possible. (We had 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, Anthologies, Apocalypse, Deckmasters, and Ice Age pain lands in the last batch)
Well, it had to happen someday - on my 10th order of assorted singles from SCG, they finally made a mistake. Along with a ton of other casual cards, I had ordered about 6 million different Magus cards from TS block, about 2-4 of all of the cheap ones. A couple days after it arrived, I noticed the playset of Magus of the Jar was missing. I sent in an email saying I hadn't received them, and the very next morning I got a reply that they had been sent out to me and they were also extending my premium subscription by a month for free. I just received them and decided I should post a summary of my experiences with SCG over my past ten orders:
SCG has been fast, reliable, and professional in shipping cards to me every order. The one small mistake made in a large volume of cards ordered was fixed right away. I give a full recommendation of SCG as an honest and reliable cardboard dealer with great customer service.
Suggestion and maybe some help. I normally surf the web on my iPhone due to me always being on the go and sometimes in different cities due to my job. Alot of websites are doing a mobile version for there sites and that is fine but normally they offer a link to there full version of there website.
You do not get this visiting your guys site. Only a link to downloading the SCG app in iTunes which would have been okay but as far as I can tell you can not purchase cards through the app. Puts me in a bit of a bind because now I can not purchase till coming Friday and probably won't receive the cards two to three weeks from now. Way to long when I can probably visit local shops in the city I am in and hunt for cards quicker... Not convient but don't want to wait for cards that long.
I would rather have the convience of shopping at your website and have cards waiting for me at the end of the week. So if someone can provide me with a link to bypass your mobile version and see the full site that would be great... If not I guess I'll have to go hunting...
We are changing the nature/behavior of this intro screen today. I apologize for the inconvenience, we certainly don't want to lock out anyone from visiting the site

Just wanted to confirm that it works now and thank you! I don't care what anyone else says about SCG... You guys have the best customer service and worth every penny... Will be placing an order in the morning!
I recently ordered several cards to be picked up at their St. Louis tournament. When I got them most were as advertised but one was torn and another was gouged and water-warped. They sent a very apologetic email and shipped replacements (with a bonus) immediately. I was very happy with the way they handled it!

I had amnesia once, or maybe twice. I don't remember.
Just received two orders I made from SCG to New Zealand last week in record time. As usual I'm very happy with SCG's prompt shipping.
I'm a little bummed that the NM foil Rishadan Port I bought has one of those annoying looking cut-lines that sometimes old foils have. I specified in the order comments that I was looking for one without a cut-line. I should have said that I was willing to take the SP version instead if that didn't have a cut-line.

My most recent order was being picked up by a friend at Gen Con, but my friend got busy and forgot. Turns out, we contacted SCG and they were totally cool with bringing it to the next SCG instead. Super customer service once again.
At SCG Seattle, I asked Ben to bring a bunch of stuff I wanted to look at in person, and they did. It was great. Can't ask for much more than that, except for Ben coming out to the West Coast one time!

They are. Just search for whatever land you are looking for, and it will show up in the search results. It's how I had to find Ancient Tomb.
Just got an order from SCG that was the single most expensive thing I've ever purchased that wasn't my house. I was naturally quite nervous about it, so I'm sure I was a very annoying customer.
I have to say, the service was beyond A++. No matter how many times I called to check on things, they were fast and courteous with helping me.
Not only that, but my order included several cards graded SP and MP, and only 1 card looks to have been played at all. SCG is very generous in the consumer's favor with the card grading - my SP Foil Jace TMS for example looks pack fresh except for the tiniest little mark on one side that I actually took several minutes to find.
SCG prices may be a bit higher than market on average, but I will be a loyal customer for life. I will never order form anywhere else online, unless its something SCG doesn't have and isn't likely to get soon (because it's super rare).
That said, can you guys please get that darn foil Glen Elendra Archmage back in stock! (LOL)
