If you don't need a foil one, there are plenty of copies of Nyx-Fleece Ram available on TCGplayer right now for about $.50 each. I'll sell you my barely used playset for the low, low price of just $5 each if you want.

Banishing Light is up to $2.24 for low on TCG Player. I know I called it being a good pick up but I figured it would take a while. My guess is that is will be the least opened set since Dark Ascension, maybe even as lower. Anything that gets standard use from this set will spike hard after rotation.

The problem with speccing on Banishing Light is that it will be reprinted in every place they would have reprinted Oblivion Ring. It's a fixed O-Ring for a reason - this is what they're going to reprint going forward. The foil might hold value, as the original printing, but as for the nonfoil, we will see so many reprints of this that everyone will have a playset eventually.
As well they should.

I'm not saying to spec on it, the time for that is over, just that getting them as trade throw ins and making a couple bucks seems like the best bet in a weak set.

There are still 14 cards worth $3 or more, and therefore worth opening in a booster pack.
This is more price stability than I'm used to seeing. Not only are the cards not moving much in relation to each other, but they're not moving much at all - the set overall hasn't lost value in weeks as far as I can tell. A lot of the set is being opened right now, typically this is when the set is losing value rapidly. A few cards did move though: Godsend isn't living up to hype, Ajani and Athreos lost a couple bucks each in the top spots, and Greenolon still looks strong and may be headed to $5+ now. Banishing Light is nearly $2, but that price won't last, as it will be reprinted mercilessly for years. Own a set if you need it now, otherwise get out of that card completely in my opinion. Next update in a few days.
As always my prices come from the lower end of tcgplayer or the lower end of buy it nows on ebay.
Top values rares/mythics:
Ajani Mentor of Heroes: $17
Athreos, God of Passage: $11
Mana Confluence: $10
Temple of Malady: $8
Prophetic Flamespeaker: $6
Keranos God of Storms: $5
Godsend: $5
Iroas God of Victory: $5
Temple of Epiphany: $4
Pharika God of Affliction: $3
Kruphix God of Horizons: $3
Master of the Feast: $3
Eidolon of Blossoms: $3
Sage of Hours: $2
Deicide: $2
All other cards are worth less than $2.
Set value:
Total value of Mythics: $58
Total value of Rares: $40
Total value of Uncommon/common sets: $7
Total set value: $105
Overall Average Box value:
Mythics: $5.80/mythic x 4.5 mythics/box = $26
Rares: $1.14/rare x 31.5 rares/box = $36
Uncommon/Common sets: $7 x 1.8 sets/box = $12
Foils: $4
Total overall average box value: $78
Well, largely as expected, the value of the set tanked over the last few weeks, going from an average box value of $95, down to only $78, thus largely making it not worth it to bother opening anymore. Both the mythics and rares dropped save for a couple cards which were stable or showed a small increase in dollar terms. The other problem is that the set is top heavy in its value. You have a couple of $10+ mythics and then the rest being worth basically $5 or less, and then you have a couple rares worth near $10, and the rest being worth under $5. Given another month I suspect we will see the box value dip to around $70 and potentially stabilize around there.

The unprecedented price stability continues! While sets like Conspiracy and M14 are losing value rapidly, the 3 Ravnica block sets and the other 2 Theros block sets are all cooling slowly, but Journey continues to hold tight, and perhaps even move up a little overall. This is normally about the time when prices really crash and bottom, but we've barely seen the set lose any value since it released. Is the crash coming? Or maybe there won't be one this time, since so little JiN is being opened for various reasons? Another month or so should reveal some answers. In the meantime I'll continue to update my site's prices (and the tally) at least weekly.
Interesting notes:
- 3 of the top 6 are lands
- almost half the cards on the tally are rares
- Gods continue to suck
- Temples continue to rock
- Greenolon has paused the upward momentum at $4.5 but if it continues to see play will resume up past $5
- there's a monored card in the top 5
Ajani $18
Temple of Malady $10
Mana Confluence $9.5
Athreos $9
everything else below $7
Just a quick update. Ajani is dropping but still way out front, Temple of Malady jumped 2 spot to take 2nd place in the set, Mana Confluence continues to fall, now to 1/3 what it was when the set released. Athreos is crashing too, down 25% since last update. I'm shocked it's worth more than $5 though, who would ever play that? Incredible that it was going for $18 a few weeks ago.
Overall the set is sucking pretty bad, but is still better than the other sets in the block in terms of box value. It's worth a little less than a box of Conspiracy but that set is crashing quickly so this might change. It's worth more than any set in the Ravnica block.
Full update in a few days.
Sometimes he pumps up a creature but that creature is usually removed.
It always seems like a win more card. You gain 100 life all you're doing is putting an already unlikely win for your opponent totally out of reach.
I really liked him at first but perhaps 5 mana is just too much. When he's a 2 of that doesn't do much how much can he be worth? I'm gonna wait.
Does Mana Confluence get worse now you can use painlands that can tap painlessly for colorless? I'm thinking it does. If it gets reprinted a bunch with it's seemingly generic name non-foil copies here could be worth $2-$5.
The gods are just poor cards with the printing of Deicide. Players are going to want to exile enchants, hitting a god with the extraction ability is just a big bonus.
I think Temple of Malady could go towards $20 as time goes by. Nobody is going to want to open packs to find them.
Prophetic Flamespeaker could go up in price if it starts seeing play. It really does need support though being 1 power.

In fact, the only recent set worth more than JiN is the yet-to-be-released M15!
Within this hot set lie a few gems rising in relation to the others. The red Eidolon (Red-olon?) has doubled in the past few weeks to $5 which makes it 8th on the tally. Temple of Malady has spiked now to $10 but could continue going. Demand should remain steady for the card as there isn't much to replace it out there, and it's from a set not being opened much. Mana Confluence is looking soft, because its Standard demand is down recently with the reprinting of the painlands. Now it's not useful except in 3 to 5 colour decks, which aren't huge in Standard. Keranos bucks the trend of the other gods and jumps a buck to land at 6th spot this update.
Seems like people with the top priced cards don't want to move them on for fear they might be good after rotation.
With magic in a bit of a boom right now that could what's causing it.
I don't buy the "not being opened" stuff. Round the world stores are handing out booster packs as prize support and people are drafting all the time. Then there's all the sealed deck qualifying tournaments going on. Sealed product is being sold, I have no doubt about that.

JOU is only drafted one pack out of three at a time, and isn't Conspiracy also siphoning players out of draft as well? M15 is about to be released which should siphon even more people away draftwise. Third sets that aren't big have historically been drafted the least.
Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that no packs at all are being opened, just that there are less packs being opened than of some other sets. Surely there are JiN packs being opened all around the world, yup!

Price stability has been this set's hallmark from the beginning. The expected box value of JiN now exceeds that of Conspiracy. In fact, the only recent set worth more than JiN is the brand new M15.
Ajani has now drifted down to $17, but doesn't seem to be going lower at the moment, so this may be around the bottom. Mana Confluence gained a buck to beat Temple of Malady at $10 by alphabetical tie-break. Keranos is one god that is actually doing well lately. Greenolon has cooled slightly of late while the Red "olon" holds tight at its recent $5 level which is good enough for 8th best card in the set. Card 15 (if the tally went longer) would be the uncommon Banishing Light at $2. I'll comment on specific cards more in my next update in a week or so. Have a great weekend
I expect Keranos to surpass Athreos eventually. Athreos is still living on mostly pre-release hype I feel like, and I've never really see him do anything that spectacular. Actually, I think both Keranos and Pharika are a lot better than him in an actual play environment. Pharika is probably a decent buy at that price for speculation.

I agree, if Khans provides URW with enough tools for a tier 1 control deck, Keranos will play quite nicely therein. Once he's out, all you have to do is stall and he takes care of the rest. The biggest thing holding him back is his CMC price tag. If he only cost 2UR, people would be finding a way to cram him into a deck.
Yeah it's looking like a $7+ card now pretty much everywhere. Being red, I didn't expect it to rise this much, but I'm happy I bought a few playsets at the bottom.
Where is it seeing most play?
Modern and Legacy. Burn was everywhere, as well as piloting it myself, at the Modern PTQ I was at yesterday. Burn has also made more than 3 top 8's and a win in SCG Legacy circuits. I have heard it's in SBs of Standard decks as well.
I can very easily see it being a $10+ card in the future. If for some reason it finds a home in standard, it could be insane due to it's short run of being opened. It's very quickly become the second auto-4-of in burn decks in both Modern and Legacy. The other being Goblin Guide.

The card's most recent move is on right. means no movement. is a card that wasn't on the list last update. This is the update's hottest mover. (#) is price in CND incl. shipping here.
There are still 14 cards worth $3 or more, and therefore worth opening in a booster pack.

Where is it seeing most play?
