Snapcaster is now roughly forty five dollars, and with Modern showing a very strong embrace on the SCG circuit, I would expect this to hit fifty within the next month or two. In fact, I expect fetches, shocks, and other universal Modern cards to rise.
I don't know why everyone is wigging out, we all knew this was going to happen when Snapcaster was printed. Everyone compared him to Bob and Goyf as staples and now he's priced appropriately. If you had kept your cards and played that long ago, then you're now being rewarded.
Also re: remand - I doubt it. That's what everyone said when MM1 rolled around and it still didn't get a reprint. Getting reprinted in Jace v Vraska is a strong indicator it won't be in MM2 IMHO

Why is it a strong indicator, though? What makes Remand so special that it's only allowed one mass reprinting ever? Path to Exile is another Modern uncommon that's about on-par in terms of power and demand that's from a much newer expansion than Remand. It's been reprinted in a duel deck...and Modern Masters...and MM Event deck...and a Commander Precon...and an Archenemy precon..and as a WPN promo...
Remand was meant to sell Jace vs Vraska decks. Those decks are already sold, so I don't see any reason for why Wizards needs to hold back Remand from being reprinted in the next MM.
Snapcaster Mage's price has gone up and down. I remember the low of $14; I believe during Standard. Then it hit a previous high of $35 and I guess it's $45 now. Snapcaster Mage is a card that is probably NOT going to be in MM2015, although it's not ruled out. This will make the price hover around $40 as long as Blue sees any play.
Regarding Remand, I don't think a recent printing in a vs. deck means that it won't be reprinted. I guess only time will tell, but Wizards probably realizes that they need to get more copies in circulation because uncommons shouldn't be so high or "rare."

Ah, that makes sense. If he did mean Origins, then I agree that it is unlikely. I don't think it is a bad idea to pick Snapcasters up now if they are needed. Even if they reprint it, he is still used in a few decks in Modern, Legacy, and Vintage, so the price is likely to slowly rebound. Similar to what the fetches will probably end up doing.

Snapcaster Mage probably won't be reprinted in Standard for a very long time. The soonest he is going to be reprinted is going to probably be Modern Masters 3, whenever that comes out.
Wow, hyperbole much? No Reprint Ever? When did I say that? I just think it's rather soon for a reprint of Remand. It's a staple of Tier 1 modern, sure, but it's not casual awesomesauce like Path is.
Also, WOTC is not omniscient. They try to predict the metagame but they sometimes fail. I would imagine they try to take pricing into account, but that's a tricky business and I would imagine they get it wrong sometimes, especially if they're trying to project two years into the future. JvV was released after MM2 was "in the can" for WOTC. They probably thought that was enough to alleviate demand. It's a year later and nope, not really. Too late to adjust MM2, though. Could be it was already in there, I don't know, but my guess is not.

Sorry, not trying to single you out. I just don't feel it can be "too soon" to reprint a Tier 1 Modern staple uncommon that has reached the $15 threshold again despite a reprint. It could really use a reprint in an actual booster expansion. It may not be in MM2, but I don't think the JvV duel deck reprinting should factor into that decision.
Necrogen Mists revisiting, this is a nice enchantment for jund and for mono black. Lilianizing for a cheaper cost without being attacked is ok. What cards are ok to being discarded, apart from gravecrawler and bloodghast? Some monstrosity to reanimate?
Wow, really? I never even heard of that card until a few days ago. Who is doing all of these mass-buyouts? There have been so many in the past month.

Just from personal experience but I know a friend who eyes the amount of a specific cards in TCGplayer and if the card is unique enough or might be hard to obtain he heavily considers buying it out to spec or spike the prices. Now I know he isn't the only person that would consider doing that, anyone with a decent knowledge of magic with money to blow can pull it off.
So, the people in the name and number crunch thread seem pretty confident that Enemy fetches are ruled out for Dragons. I still have a Catacombs and Rainforest I was thinking of trading off just in case they did get reprinted. Do you think we can expect another spike if they're not in the set, or do you think they're pretty much at their cap right now?

There'd have to be a small one at the least, I'd think. It depends on how many people were holding off on their purchases while they were waiting to see if they were in DTK, but I imagine there would at least be enough people in that boat to produce a small spike.
If they are not in Dragons (seems likely at this point) then there will likely be a small spike from people who need them for modern in the near future. Otherwise I think people who were waiting will continue to wait since they will almost certainly be in MM2 or the next fall set.

I think this is pretty much on the money. People will only freak out slightly if they see that they aren't in DTK, but with MM2015 as the last logical reprint possibility before the Fall set (Which may also be unlikely if Forsythe is to be believed), if they aren't present, I would expect that to be where the big jump takes place.

^More or less this. In a lot of ways, simply having the Onslaught fetches in Modern has helped a lot out as is. Zendikar would help perfect mana bases, but atm Onslaught/Khans fetches are enough to hold people over till the eventual reprint of Zendikar fetches.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.

Not really. Competitive players still need the proper fetches, ie. Tarn instead of Delta for Twin and Flats instead of Mire for BW Tokens. If you are flying to GP, you don't want to start each game at 19.
The price of Modern staples isn't driven by players that fly to GPs.
Playing millions of cards every turn... Slowly and systematically obliterating any chance my opponent has of winning... Clicking the multitude of locking mechanisms into place... Not even trying to win myself until turn 10+ once I have nigh absolute control... Watching my opponent desperately trying to navigate the labyrinthine prison that I've constructed... Seeing the light of hope fade and ultimately extinguished in an excruciatingly slow manner... THAT'S fun Magic.
We have 2-3 users that are dramatically making this thread incomprehensible and non-productive for anyone else to possibly join in the discussion. This needs to change.
Every time I see [ktkenshinx] post in here, I get the impression of a stern dad walking in on a bunch of kids trying to do something dumb and just shaking his head in disappointment.
Near Mint: The same as Slightly Played, but we threw some Altoids in the box we stored it in to cover up the scent of dead mice. Slightly Played: The base condition for all MTG cards. This card looks OK, but there’s one minor annoying ding in it that will always irritate and distract you whenever you draw it. Moderately Played: This card looks like it survived the Tet Offensive tucked inside the waistband of GI underwear. It may smell like it, too. Heavily Played: This card looks like the remains of Mohammed Atta’s passport after 9/11. It may be playable if you double-sleeve it to stop the chunks from falling out. The condition formerly known as "Washing Machine Grade" Damaged: This card is the unfortunate victim of a Mirrorweave/March of the Machines/Chaos Confetti/Mindslaver combo.
[M]aking counterfeit cards is the absolute height of dishonesty. Ask yourself this question: Since most people...are totally cool with the use of proxies...what purpose do [high] quality counterfeit cards serve?
