Thing is Deathrite Shaman needs fetchlands to function consistently as a mana dork, and that's a huge part of its power level in Legacy (and Modern before the ban). Liliana needs basically anything that is either useless to you at the moment or gains advantage through the graveyard. It's a far broader set of conditions to be good than with Deathrite, so it's fair to say that Development will always shoot down reprinting Liliana in Standard because they err massively on the side of conservatism with reprints' power level.
I see Liliana being reprinted as soon as they get the chance to do so reasonably. Didn't work for M15 because Mono-Black was too powerful, but I don't see why they couldn't do so in the final Core Set next summer. If anything, I expect to see her in MM2 whenever it's printed.
Mikaeus is pretty much an auto-include in any B/x edh deck, both for his combo potential and good stuff-ness. I imagine that's the drain that the foils are being sucked down.

Indeedly. He was already pretty rocking in a number of EDH decks. And then they printed Marchesa, the Black Rose. I'll let you ponder on how those two combo together for a minute before you go back and look at the post-Conspiracy price jump.
TL;DR: Yep, it's EDH only.
I was wondering. I saw that post on SCG but I didn't know that guy and was wondering if this was a real thing or a nonbo.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

It works. It is similar to Storm, but relies on it's mana dorks and the Jeskai Ascendancy. The Ascendancy itself is easier to find in this deck however due to Glittering Wish.
Does anyone think Jeskai Ascendancy will see a bump in price? They're painfully low right now.

Legacy - Sneak Show, BR Reanimator, Miracles, UW Stoneblade
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
Well its already currently rising, from its dollar rare status to about two dollars each. Foils spiked dramatically on Thursday, from four to ten before evening out at seven. I can only see the non-foil going down as more product is opened and more drafts are fired up in the coming weeks.
So more on Glittering Wish- apparently an Ascendancy Storm deck placed 2nd in MDSS Toronto and now it's basically disappeared. Again.
Sigh... I sold a foil one for $4 about a month or two ago...
I actually thought about speculating on this card many times throughout the years. Just seemed...good, like, as good as any other Wish (gated only by the targets themselves, which pretty much means that it's the type of card that can only get better over time barring a strictly better version of it). But I decided against it, because I got tired of buying stuff that I didn't need. Too bad I can't turn a profit, but hey, at least I didn't have to sit on them for X number of years; heck, it looks great right now, because there's a use for it, but if Khans was a set of different cards or a wish card was printed that's flat-out better than Glittering Wish (unlikely, but possible I suppose), we'd be having a different conversation.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.

Yeah, I bought 1 foil one and 2 normal ones about a year and a half ago when I was building Gifts Control. I think I ended up cutting them from the deck but they felt like great spec targets since when something in FUT jumps, it jumps hard.

At this point it only doubles from its starting price, and I don't think it will get any higher, maybe a bit more if the standard versions of the deck go well, for a while because of its set being opened a lot more soon. The other key card though has just skyrocketed as quoted above since it is the only 4-of card that is from a relatively older set.
This is very similar to what happened to Daybreak Coronet when Bogle decks began to run wild.
Sorry to be off topic a bit, but would make it easier for me to understand the increase.
Why is having 4 copies of Glittering Wish better than having 4 copies of the card you are searching for? Since the other wishes aren't modern legal I can't see the reasoning.

Because it's equivalent to running seven copies of Jeskai Ascendancy in your deck. It greatly increases your chances of finding one.
Playing millions of cards every turn... Slowly and systematically obliterating any chance my opponent has of winning... Clicking the multitude of locking mechanisms into place... Not even trying to win myself until turn 10+ once I have nigh absolute control... Watching my opponent desperately trying to navigate the labyrinthine prison that I've constructed... Seeing the light of hope fade and ultimately extinguished in an excruciatingly slow manner... THAT'S fun Magic.
We have 2-3 users that are dramatically making this thread incomprehensible and non-productive for anyone else to possibly join in the discussion. This needs to change.
Every time I see [ktkenshinx] post in here, I get the impression of a stern dad walking in on a bunch of kids trying to do something dumb and just shaking his head in disappointment.
Near Mint: The same as Slightly Played, but we threw some Altoids in the box we stored it in to cover up the scent of dead mice. Slightly Played: The base condition for all MTG cards. This card looks OK, but there’s one minor annoying ding in it that will always irritate and distract you whenever you draw it. Moderately Played: This card looks like it survived the Tet Offensive tucked inside the waistband of GI underwear. It may smell like it, too. Heavily Played: This card looks like the remains of Mohammed Atta’s passport after 9/11. It may be playable if you double-sleeve it to stop the chunks from falling out. The condition formerly known as "Washing Machine Grade" Damaged: This card is the unfortunate victim of a Mirrorweave/March of the Machines/Chaos Confetti/Mindslaver combo.
[M]aking counterfeit cards is the absolute height of dishonesty. Ask yourself this question: Since most people...are totally cool with the use of proxies...what purpose do [high] quality counterfeit cards serve?

Should have bought more Future Sight when it was available.
