Spell Pierce is an all-star in Legacy, where stack-based onteraction is crucial and mana is very tight. It is essentially a one-mana counter for 80% of the cards in the format.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
Spell pierce is a great card and it does see both modern and legacy play. Though i'd be hesitant to dump money into it because (good) commons tend to have this bubble and they crash hard when a reprint occurs. I'd be wary of investing in them unless you absolutely have to especially with conspiracy about to come out.

That's a bit hyperbolic. If it countered 80% of the cards in the format it would be a 4x auto-include in the main board of every blue deck. As it stands it's usually 2x and often in the sideboard, since it's not great in some matchups. It's a great card when it's good but its restrictions are real.
It would take a LONG time without a reprint for it to hit Serum Visions like prices, and it would be easy for them to reprint. Buy your copies if you need them but I wouldn't buy more than I need for use.
Most of the enemy colored filterlands are on the rise like Flooded Grove and Fetid Heath. Only one that hasn't spiked like the rest is Rugged Prairie. I'm curious if the allied colored filters are worth speculating on because most of them cost half as less compared to the enemy colored filters. I don't think they will be reprinted soon because of the hybrid mana symbols.

Sorry, but your post is in violation of Uldan's rule:
I understand people have different definitions of what is worth noting, but hopefully we can agree that 10-25% bumps in cards that just recently increased to 200-250% of the original price is not especially worth noting. Bickering is over. Grace period over. -Uldan
Flooded Grove is only up 25% recently, and only 15% over the past week; Fetid Heath shows a similar trejectory. Both of these are less than the objectionable Tendo Ice Bridge. For that matter, the same was true of Spell Piece. Anyone disagree?
I disagree - they didn't recently increase 200-250%. This is just picking a fight -Infraction for trolling -Uldan

Generally, good dual lands are a good investment. Whether they're a better investment than anything else I can't say - I can't see them spiking, but they'll probably continue to gradually rise until the inevitable large-scale reprint. They'll probably have a similar price trajectory to shocklands.

The person derailing the thread is you, not me. I'm talking about the rules, and you're talking about personal preferences about what cards you like. Why didn't you post about Spell Pierce? It also increased by the price of a pack of Fallen Empires.
In the end, whether or not you care about a particular card is not relevant to whether or not the card is discussed here. Plenty of people cared about the cards I talked about, so if you don't, best to just keep mum.

I don't feel these are really any better than check lands as a dual land.
You can't fetch them, they are useless on turn 1 and don't make colored mana without 2 lands.
I think they are best suited for EDH where you need as many dual lands as you can get. In modern I would choose these after a lot of other less expensive alternatives.

Also worth noting you commented on Spell Pierce moving, it apparently wasn't a problem then. People are interested in a highly played common moving because of it's widespread use, Tendo Ice Bridge is barely played in a fringe deck so it isn't on people's radar's for the most part. But that's neither here nor there.
On a gainers topic, or rather losers, Liliana or the Veil seems to be slipping back. Do you guys think this is because of the loss of DRS? I notice she doesn't show up nearly as much anymore in modern, for the most part I only see her in BG Midrange.

Did I miss something? I honestly don't know what you're talking about at all or why you're trying to antagonize me for that matter. I'm just pointing out that these enemy filterlands are on the rise and may have more room to grow. I think enemy filterlands' increasing price is worthy of discussion because enemy colors lack the fixing allied colors have.
Just stepping in.
Play nice. It is fine to disagree and discuss why you disagree, but attacking and trolling others is not. Nothing is gained that way.
First off, sorry that I misread the rule; I thought Uldan was instituting a blanket ban on talk of 10-25% gainers, not only ban on talking about 10-25% gains on a recent 100-150% gainer. Seems like an odd distinction to me, but whatever.
Also worth noting you commented on Spell Pierce moving, it apparently wasn't a problem then. But that's neither here nor there.
Right; whether people are interested in the card or not is neither here nor there. As for Spell Pierce, it actually violates Uldan's rule depending on how strictly one wants to apply the "recently gained 100%" rule. $1 to $1.98 isn't sufficient, but $0.99 to $1.98 is. Anyway. Now the rule is more clear.

The banning of DRS I would say is the main reason for this. A t2 liliana is pretty back breaking, but people wont be replacing drs with birds most likely. Unlike BOP, DRS is a reasonable draw at any point in the game. It hoses some graveyard strategies. There were so many reasons why that card was good, it had to be banned. Unfortunately, its best friends are: Dark Confidant, Liliana of the Veil, tarmogoyf etc. I don't expect all of these to stay down for too long, but would not be a bit surprised if we see some kind of short term price correction.
Bruce, you are quite easily the most annoying person that posts on these entire forums.
No one cares about your agenda, everyone is sick of you, and you're intentionally being argumentative and annoying and you know it. You ALWAYS think you're in the right, and everything anyone says is quoted and responded to in an argumentative fashion. The mods have even had to step in far more frequently than usual to try and stop your obnoxious behavior, but that's STILL not deterring you. For any casual observer of this thread, like myself, you've lessened the usefulness of it by cluttering it with nothing but arguments and now your petty squabbling over the "new rule". There isn't a single other person that posts in the market street forum area that detracts from the value of its purpose anywhere close to as much as you.
I'm sure I'll get an infraction for this myself, but seriously, someone on the outside looking in needed to say something to hopefully make you realize that you're not just irritating the people that you're arguing with, but EVERYONE that reads this forum. And mods, I apologize in advance.
To make my own post more relevant, I will say this: Believe it or not, I actually liked your initial mention of Tendo Ice Bridge as a potential huge gainer. I think MANY people, myself included, are perfectly happy when people mention viable speculation targets or cards that might be poised to make a jump soon. It's useful information to have, even if they don't actually end up being HUGE gainers. What people can do without though, are the ridiculous and overly frequent brag posts about how the card(s) you've mentioned have gained 18 cents. It accomplishes nothing other than making people dislike you and question your motives for posting those cards in the first place. Keep the conversation civil. Warning for Trolling/flaming ~Duxx
Looks like all copies of Ghostly Prison have spiked up recently, I can now buylist them semi-consistently for $4 each. There's only 1 NM copy on TCGplayer left for under $4.
Personally, I think if you need them, grab them now, interest seems to be drumming up on these, I don't remember SCG buying them for that much before either, Hotsaucegames gives 4.50 for them as well, increased buylist prices usually tend to indicate that interest in the card is rising.

Ghostly prison is used in mono white stax in legacy and nothing else. Mono white stax is a very fringe deck that has no impact on the price though. What's raising prison up is the mono white prison deck in modern that sometimes splashes for other colors. As well as being from the era where uncommons were actually worth big bucks see: remand. Doesn't help that it's from kamigawa/just underprinted due to that. Kind of surprised to see it rise quite a bit despite all the supplemental products and reprints it has but it is what it is.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Prison is also a big part of Travis Woo's Mono White (enchantment) Control list. Basically it's all of Moderns hate enchantments main boarded with Sigil of the Empty Throne as it's wincon. It's a fun deck when everything goes right but idk why Prison would be rising. It was reprinted 3 times after Kamigawa (given 2 were more limited). Maybe someone had extra funds after buying up the Tendo Ice Bridges and decided to pick up some prisons too lol
