There's a serious supply shortage on Phyrexian Obliterator right now. TCG's lagging behind Ebay/Amazon/dealers for some reason, but the card looks to be sitting at $20 now, but could easily go higher. Nykthos likely the cause of the push-up.

Any potential for Demigod of Revenge given the same logic plus it turns on Red and Black.

More like Grey Merchant than Nykthos. See the recent modern deck tech video posted on Channelfireball.
I saw that on Reddit. Did I miss a tournament or something? I know Twin is a pillar of the format but it seems like a pretty accessible card. Perhaps more market manipulation?

Not surprising. Before the jump twin was what 3 dollars? I was surprised it hadn't gone up as it is a 4 of staple in a tier 1 deck and is from a set that has been OOP for quite some time.
Not surprised at obliterator. Casual favorite and even if it isn't good in modern devotion decks casual players will still want it for their casual devotion decks. Could be something in the next two sets that breaks obliterator as well in regards to putting it over the top in a modern devotion deck. Nykthos is quite sick with it as well since 1 card granting 4 devotion is a very big game.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Well the card hasn't been reprinted and it was printed in kamigawa/there is a shortage in terms of supply due to kamigawa sucking and it being printed 8 years ago. My guess is zur decks using the card. Can't think of much reason other than that really in terms of modern.

Twin/UWx/[INSERT BLUE DECK HERE] Sideboard, it steals Bob, it steals Goyf, its a good card from a "meh" set thats been out of print for quite some time, and the card wasnt in MMA to boot. Will the card be reprinted? Possibly, unlike something like Inquisition of Kozilek theres nothing tying it down to a specific setting, its a card thats slowing going to rise as more people want to pick up blue control/midrange decks and use that to steal GBx Goyfs and the like. I dont think a fringe deck that has placed once is going to create more demand than proven T1 lists which have been running Threads in the SB for some time, its just this card's time to rise.
Oh, I never saw it noted anywhere and it had happened since the last time I looked at him.

With the death of A.I.R. Demigod got a lot worse.

I posted this 6 weeks ago. Threads rising by 50% since then is no surprise to me.
Thanks to Gabgabdevo for the awesome sig image!
I'm always looking for foil Madcap Skills and Ghitu Fire-Eater, [trade thread link forthcoming]
Your clairvoyance isn't really helpful if you don't know WHY it went up.
Is it because of the Esper Zur decks?
WUBRGPauper Battle BoxWUBRG ... and why I am not a fan of Wayne Reynolds' Illustrations.
anywho, as mentioned in the legacy thread, cursecatcher is ~8 bucks.
A guess-- but it works really well in modern blue devotion? I haven't seen a any deck lists but maybe there's a tier2 deck in the works.
