It was a 5 dollar card before, so how is it really a $3 card considering price memory and possible future play?

30 for Edric seems pretty high but after watching Bahra tear up a few dailys with Noble Fish I think it was undervalued for quite some time. I imagine it should be closer to $15-20 IMO (where it currently sits on TCGplayer). With only 2 partial printings it still not a common card to come by.

What commander was Edric from; not commander arsenal?

Edric was in Mirror Mastery (Rikus deck)

He was also in the commanders arsenal but that was a very small print run (and foil) so it shouldn't effect his price trajectory much relative to the other COMM 2011 staples

Looks like trops have caught up with tundra, didn't think that was gonna happen until later, does any one think that Seas and Volc can hit four hundred after fetches reprint?

I think the Seas and Volcanic has probably peaked for this year, it might go up to 400s by year end or next year looking at its pricing pattern.

Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale only has 1 copy available on TCGplayer (MP, $550), 1 on amazon (VG, $700), and only 10 total on ebay (lowest BIN is $700 for english, $450 for ITl). SCG/Channelfireball are out of stock and priced at SCG at $700. With it being $350-400 for English copies only 3 months ago, does anyone see this hitting $1K soon? FYI, 2 of the Ebay copies are graded, one BGS 9 that likely won't be cracked to play.

It will probably hit $1000 on SCG/Channelfireball but they will probably continue to end around $500-$700 for awhile. Still if you need them I would get the italians to play while they are cheap. If it does reach $1000 I would be glad to get rid of them at that price.

Show and Tell made a little move up recently. Is this a "high tide that is lifting all boats."

Just got back from SCG Dallas. SP Tabernacle was listed at $650 and I think there were a few there. Tropical Island was completely sold out.

Probably. A lot of people that don't play Modern or had multiple decks built saw an arbitrage opportunity and cashed in their Modern gainers, so dealers raised the prices on Legacy staples in response to that. Show and Tell doesn't seem to be putting up great results right now, and the Judge Foil is still being given out, so it's unlikely to go much higher barring a metagame shake-up or market manipulation.

They must of been priced at $150.

Trops at $205 on TCG, anyone think they can break 250 before years end?

The real question is will it hit $300 by the end of the year. I'm stacking them now as fast as I can get my hands on them because I believe it will (or at least be flirting with it).

I think that depends on fetch reprints, if we get them in the fall set, it'll give legacy a big enough shot to take duals to 300-400 level. I got three of each dual, I really care less about making money, I just want to be able to play Legacy later.

Why do you think Fetch reprints will increase Dual Land prices?

Fetches are one of the cards keeping people out of legacy, just as they are doing with modern recently, they've always been like that with legacy, especially blue fetches. Specifically because you play full sets as opposed to just two to three(as most decks don't run a full set of duals). Once fetches get reprinted, it'll make getting into Legacy a little bit easier, at least until the price of every other staple raises because people will be buying them up. You only really need two of each dual land to play a competitive decks, its the fetches you need four of. I don't play in tournaments, but that doesn't mean I don't want to have a complete deck, and speaking for my self, if I had to buy duals at their prices now, I'd be ok with only having to buy just one or two, as opposed to whole playsets. I know alot of people who share this mentality, and its just one of those little things that will add to the demand of duals.

So what I'm saying is Fetches getting reprinted, especially into standard, hopefully, will rise interest in Legacy, and dropping the price barrier for a small window of time. The supply of the rest of the Legacy staples will not change, but the popularity/demand for them will, causing prices to rise even higher than they are.
