With the spikes trending as they are, I would keep your cards, the chances are great that they'll appreciate even more as the player base grows. Best of luck!
1) Tabernacle is like $600 right now.
2) Modern as a format exploded and staples are crazy high. (See cryptic at $70, etc). Judge Vcliques are definitely a rarity.
3) Check the legacy gainers thread, I don't know how long you've been gone. Port is over $100, karakas saw a small spike, force of will is ticking up, blue ZEN fetch are $90, etc.
1) That's pretty true yes
2) That is about the price, but since there is none, it is likely to move up. Look on magiccardmarket, the euro market usually dries up slower.
3) Read through this thread, it hits most of the bigger jumps
Mind blown. Especially on the Rishadan Ports and Zen fetchlands. Last time I checked Rishadan was like $30, Scalding Tarn was $35 (I think? I don't usually follow my Modern staples), Wasteland was certainly less than $50, also sold my Judge foils for $80 not long ago, I feel like crying now.
I mean, even after DnT won a Legacy GP last year the deck's staples didn't move at all, I'm actually surprised that they spiked at this random moment.
I wanted to buy Tabernacles soon, but I guess I have to scrap that plan now. It's been $300 for so long I always thought I could wait a little more to get the money needed.
Also, what the hell, Land Equilibrium at $60? Can somebody explain? That useless card was totally less than $10.
Some guy out there is determined to corner the market/buyout random legend rares thus inflating them to ridiculous amounts. Invoke prejudice being one (35 forever then it spiked to 150 but now it's back to around 100 or so.)
As for how much more cards will spike this year, hard to tell. I'd wait until may/june to sell out as cards are generally moving like crazy in the march and april months pricewise. Of course this will probably happen next year too so there is that.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
I have two well played Candelabras that I picked up 4 1/2 years ago for about $15 each on ebay for nostalgia value and it looks like they have picked up a little value. What's the long term prognostication on these bad boys? How much higher could they go?

They jumped up last year or two years ago and have been more or less hovering. A couple of fringe decks use them but it's not a Legacy staple by any means right now.
I would hold, they are on the DNR list and all it takes is for Turbo Eldrazi or High Tide have a fun run and the card will go up.

Thanks for the quick replies! I couldn't believe how much they went up. I was going to buy a playset back in the day but since I just played casual at the time I didn't want to spend 55-60 for them = ( At least I bought the two.
I really don't understand why Candelabra is a billion dollars and Magus of the Candelabra is about the price of an equal weight of dog farts. I get that one of them costs green and is summoning sick, but honestly, since he's only G, is it really that much of a problem to put him out on turn 1 to set up a big later turn? Besides, any loss in value here seems to be weighed against the fact that Magus is legal in Modern.
I guess what I'm saying is if Candelabra is going to punch three digits and up, Magus of Said Candelabra probably shouldn't be bulk.
Green and summoning sick are pretty big reasons not to use Magus. Most High Tide decks that I've seen are mono-U with no vulnerability to Wasteland, which would change if the idea is to run with Magus and trops instead of just Islands. Also, the deck now doesn't blank removal and the extra turn could be the difference between combo'ing off and losing.
The biggest drawback to Magus is that he has to pay for himself, aside from being a very fragile creature.
Wasteland's pricetag is the highest it's ever been, last year I remember it hitting $100, but $150....that's just crazy.

Its not really that crazy. Tempest was large set with ~350 cards. Some boxes of Tempest Sealed did not contain a single wasteland. I know this first hand, I drafted a sealed box 4 years ago with friends and there was not a single wasteland found.

Why are Tundra's so cheap? It's the most common dual (Miracles) that I see on the SCG opens. I bought a playset.
I have a set of Foil Wastelands (not judges), should I unload them now for Tundras? I can get 9 (Rev) Tundras for the 4 Wastelands.
Idk, I wouldn't call them "cheap," but yeah they're cheaper than Underground Sea and Volcanic Island -- that's for sure. Though, they might creep up later on, as with most all duals (especially blue ones).
That said, I don't think you should unload Foil Wastelands, and if you do Idk if I'd just go in on 9 Tundras. I'd rather get enough of the other duals that you need/want (like a playset of U.Seas or whatever). That said, I'm not big on speculating and not with something this pricey already to begin with.
Also, you can argue that Wastelands are played just as much as Tundras if not more; if you're not some kind of controllish deck, it seems like you'll be running 2-4x Wastelands anyhow.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.

Tundras are cheaper since they're not used in combo decks.
I'd keep the player rewards wastelands. Original art/old frame foil which is highly unlikely to be seen again. I feel like the foil wastelands have a lot more room to grow than tundras do.
I've been out of touch with the market (and Magic in general) these last few months, so I have some questions:
1. What the heck is happening with Wasteland? Is it true that I'm seeing MPR copies at $380 and Judge ar $300? O_o That's totally more expensive than like, a Tabernacle or Candelabra, which is bananas.
2. I'm trying to find how much my Judge Vendilion Cliques are worth now, last time I checked was like 5 months ago at $110 and it seems that they've dissapeared from this world. I can't find listing in TCG nor eBay and SCG is out of stock. That particular printing was never a highly demanded one, so it's weird.
3. Any other card price spikes worth mentioning? I got lots of Legacy staples and I'm curious.
I've got a few judge cliques so I've been sort of trying to track them myself, I had some about a year ago and they were worth about the same for the longest time. Lately I've been seeing them finish for 120-140 on eBay, SCG had some for 99$/89$(SP) for a while but I guess someone got them. I'd not be surprised to see them go to 150$ on SCG if they restock, probably safe to say they're around 130 right now. I think the art is really sweet, the color with the foiling on the background area is pretty nice IMO.

I think flipping wastelands for a mix of tundras and tropical islands would be a pretty good idea here, foil wastelands have been pretty stable where they are, and at $400 a pop I'm not sure how much more they are gonna rise, but tundras, and trops still have quite a bit to go I believe. When the dust settles I'm sure you'll make more money with the dual lands than the wastelands.
Again for european buyers Judge Vendilion Clique is still availlable at 75 €.
I've been selling one and ticking the asking price up every few weeks, as it seems every time I check I'm the person with lowest valued Clique, but never get a buyer. This time I moved it up significantly, as the price gap betwen US and MCM is getting so large, that one of the big buyers will just buy these out at some point, unless the players don't do it first.
I guess that few people are waiting where SCG buylist price will go before spending several hundred in the cards.
MCM also has PR Wastelands availlable at 130 € each. Altough some have sold at 140 € already. Judge Wastelands start at 128 €. Again huge price difference betwen EU and US.
Got a question. I have about $130 worth of points of pucatrade, which basically means i have $130 store credit i guess.
I want to grab some revised dual(s) with this, so i'm wondering which one or combinations i should get. Like 2-3 or the cheapest, 1 of the most expensive, a mid and a low price one etc.
