It's a budget Misdirection that's a 2 of in the sneak and show deck.
I have never seen Divert played in Sneak and Show decks. It's always Misdirection cause of the alternative free cost. I run 2 in my deck. I think RUG and/or BUG plays Divert.
This is very simple to answer (seasoned mage's are sitting back nodding their heads)...Divert has picked up justified steam for one pure reason, it slobbers all over Abrupt Decay, Divert compares to a Misdirection just as much as a Cat compares to a Dog (rhetorical when taking in the applications and disadvantages of of both cards in question).
Divert = "You'll think before you Abrupt Decay me again as I'll most likely maintain tempo/position", plain and simple.
The rest of the Pros such as it being a clutch reaction to a counter war is just that, the pros beyond punting Abrupt Decay's.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
Anyone thinking that JTMS will continue to rise in value?
I don't see why he wouldn't. He'll likely always be the most sought after planeswalker and it's hard to imagine when he'll ever be reprinted. Slow and steady growth for the next many years, I'd say.

I'm just wondering when his price will ever stabilize. His price seems to be going up ever so steadily the chance to get one has long passed.

Yeah, I don't really ever see his price stabilizing long-term. He's both infamous and the best planeswalker, making him doubly desirable from a collector's viewpoint, and he's playable in eternal formats so he'll continue to see value added from players as well. No reprint in sight means that now is the time to buy if you want them. Pretty much the same as with original duals, now (and the nows of the future) will likely always be the time to buy.
I wouldn't be shocked if Jace, the Mind Winner hits $125 in the next few months, he's famously used in EDH, Vintage, Legacy and every casual players deck/'s that have the funds to own them (pretty much)...supply meets a brick wall soon if templates like Esperblake & BUG continue to do well (Not to mention No`Rug, Maverick Bant, Pro`Bant style archetypes that house 2-3 main deck, and that only names a few).
Shoot in theory I wouldn't be shocked if in a few years he's well over a couple of hundred of bucks assuming WOTC doesn't ruin the spoils with a yugioh reprint...but then again why would they reprint a "untested mistake of a card" that they purely hate more then their most recent mistake Snapcaster Mage just to reduce the price for a secondary market (some cards hopefully might be worth more then toilet paper in the end).
Jace seems to be going the way of fetches and duals. They're just slowly ever climbing and will keep that way. (Fetches are most likely to see a reprint in this example, but jace and duals are so high that they're getting out of mass reprint range. Wizards won't just tank a secondary market $100+ card)
And since he's the most broken planeswalker made, there is little chance any new planeswalker coming out will ever be close to touching his power level.

If your deck is 60 cards then you're playing with the best possible odds. 61? Probably won't alter your odds too much but we all know that 96% pure meth won't cut it next to Heisenberg's 99%.
Jace definitely seems like a safe long term bet. As far as a reprint goes, I guess he could be in the upcoming From the Vault 20, but I kind of doubt it. And I don't want to go into too much speculation, but a judge promo in a new retro-Planeswalker border would be frickin' sweet.
A ftv 20 reprint for Jace would not really slow his normal card demand and collectability. It might slightly bring down the pack foil prices though, which would be great for modest collectors such as myself.
Keep in mind- JTMS is the forerunner for the Modern bordered "p9". What the other 8 would be, are highly debatable, but he is Modern MtG's Black Lotus.
Was discussed a few posts back, but I wouldn't pass a cheap set of Divert if you can find them locally. It does end up being pitched to FOW on "later" turns alright, but I'm totally fine with that. Redirecting a Decay or even Tourach to your face with only U open? Yes please.
Divert I only bought 1 copy of for a sideboard in Fish long ago, I am now full of regret on not nabbing a playset just because. Because I normally do that with any potential sideboard cards.
As usual, if you are reading about it here, it's usually too late. Divert just fell off my radar. If you can still get it sub $5 (sub $20 playset), I recommend going for it, I can only see it shooting up from there.
Jace is like original dual lands almost. He can technically be reprinted, but I doubt he will ever be reprinted en masse unless he's unbanned in modern and put in modern masters 2. Right now is the time to buy if you want jace, TMS, one of the most powerful cards ever printed. Reaching 200 is no easy feat for a card, but in 10 years jace will likely be higher than that number/it will take a while, but it will eventually happen assuming magic keeps growing in popularity while there is little worldwake in circulation.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
If any modern bordered card has a chance to hit $200, it is Jace TMS. I can't think of anything that can even come close. Which, I think for the continued growth of the game in general... is a good thing. Keep staple prices down in every supported format except Legacy (which they have no real control over any more thanks to the reserve list) is probably some sort of Mission Statement at WotC now.
I don't think Jace2 is quite as safe as you guys say. He could easily be included in a duel deck and the price would crash dramatically. WOTC has shied away from readily reprint very expensive cards in the past, even if they could. However, Jace is their flagship and theyre going to tap that gold mine at some point.

WotC considers the audience for each of their products. They wouldn't slap Jace in a Duel Deck because those are designed for casual players. Including a money card like Jace just means speculators will buy them up. That's not what they want and they made that clear with the Commander series.
They also have no reason to want his price to drop. He is a Legacy and Vintage only card. Their focus is now on Limited, Standard, and Modern. (I'm not counting casual here.)
So that definitely helps to narrow things down. Jace is not appropriate for Duel Decks or Commander decks due to the reason above. He won't be included in a Modern Masters since he is banned. And they aren't going to print a Legacy Masters.
That pretty much leaves the From the Vault series and judge promos as most likely areas for reprints, unless I missed something.
