It's been a long time since I've used the platform, and was wondering if auctions are still a decent way to sell things. In a different life I was building a pimped cube, and have a lot of high end cards with maybe not the most liquid market. Obviously I'm looking to get above buylist since I'm going to the trouble of listing individually, and was wondering if this was feasible. I'm not seeing a lot of listings that are actually auctions. Also amenable to any other suggestions for where to list cards. Thanks!

Well, eBay has a huge customer base, so you get a lot of eyes on your stuff. Are you talking more expedition fetches, or beta Power?

Nothing that retails in the thousands, but plenty that retails in the $300+ range (fbb duals, foil port, bunch of judge foils, etc.).

You can mosey on over to the high-end group on Facebook. That'll have people who're looking for what you've got to sell.
Of course, there's always the option to make a sale thread here on MTGS

I also recommend the "High End Magic the Gathering stuff for buy/sell/trade" Facebook group. Stuff moves there pretty quickly (assuming you price correctly, which you must do, or else suffer the wrath of admins or fellow members). In order to sell a card (or a sealed product) there though it must be worth at least $50. There's also the group "The Magic The Gathering Buy/sell/trade" , which is I believe run by the same person that runs the High End group, with the exception that the card doesn't need to be $50 in value.
Finally, there is also the "MTG Sick Deals" FB group which functions much the same way as the other groups do, but card prices there are supposed to be listed for a minimum of 10% below TCGP prices (or 10% below comparable eBay prices, but bc eBay can be more volatile and usually a little higher than TCGP, most people use 10% below TCGP Low as the default. Your cards will move VERY quickly here, but of course you'll prob end up with a little less $. One other piece of information, on the High End and regular groups, it's okay to insist on "paypal gift (friends and family) or add 3%", but in the Sick Deals group that's not allowed.
My recommendation is the first two groups, because you're not sacrificing 10% that Sick Deals requires, and also b/c you can avoid Paypal fees by receiving payment in the form of Gift or by charging the buyer an extra 3%. The High End group should be your first stop, because the people that frequent there are bigger spenders, who think nothing of dropping a few hundred dollars on a single card.
Just wanted to thank you all, this group has been great, and my stuff has been moving quickly and at good prices. I would have lost a ton of money selling on ebay.

Also, have you had any luck with venmo for payments? (Is that allowed/advisable, etc.).
