We've all seen the price spike of LtLH. Good card. Under rated pre release but I don't think it's good enough to warrant $50. Nissa Voice of Zendikar is better, was a key part in the best deck in standard, and never even approached $50.
Reminds me alot of when Avacyn spiked to $50, only to tumble back to $20. Also, unlike Jace, she will see 0 play in eternal formats outside of initial testing(did run across her on MTGO, but I chalk that up to budget reasons since LotV is just a better card 90% of the time...not to say LtLH is bad, but LotV is just insanely good for 3 mana).
Do you agree. If not why and what would drive keeping her at $50 when outside of baby Jace, we haven't seen a sustained $50 standard card in...what Caw-Blade maybe?
0 play in eternal formats seems incredibly close-minded. That being said she'll drop to 15-20. Been playing her in Grixis (modern) where she is quite good

I think Hope will keep a lot of its value while in Standard. Every black deck would want to run her, from aggro decks to reduce blockers/ return creatures to Delirium to control decks like BW, Sultai, and Seasons Past. Not to mention she is mostly seen as a 4 of in the top black decks.
Unless something drastic happens, I think she'll settle at $30.

I agree with this. I think the Pro Tour results and people still scrambling to get their play set will keep it in the $40s for a while though.

She's a monster in standard, so I imagine she'll remain the most expensive mythic of the set. I think it's likely she'll pop up now-and-then in modern, although that won't keep her price high.

It's funny. It took a good 8+ months before LotV become a Modern staple and LotV only saw play in Standard in Solar Flare until right before rotation. Everyone just assumes it was always a power house but even that card took many a while to realize it's power. We are still far from realizing exactly where this Liliana will end up in Modern and the fresher Standard rotations.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.

You're totally right, she could be amazing in modern. I'm just not really expecting it; I feel like she's a bit slow for removal and while a great grindcore card, so is the other Liliana. Her power in standard isn't going away as long as black is remotely viable.
I was honestly really surprised by the spike, she seems..well, not very good honestly. I still think Ob is the best mono black walker in Standard.
you Sir, have no idea what you are talking about. Did you ever played with or against her?
She actualy is the best card in Standard.
And ob nixilis better than her? Lol...
She won me so many games on her own already, and she only costs 3 Mana.. she mb is the best Standard Walker ever printed, after jtms

That seems highly debatable. Vryn's Prodigy, Jace Architect of Thought, Elspeth Knight Errant all seemed like they had a much greater impact in Standard than Last Hope has had so far.
Well of course a 5 or 6 Mana Walker has more impact on a game when he enters it. But Lili is a 3-4 Off in every Single Deck that Plays Black. No Matter the Archtype.
And i am 100% certain, that Lili is way better than Flip jace at least in Standard. Jace is/was always just a nice support card, while Lili basicly wins games on her own. Jace is/was not even played in every Blue Deck, since he is not good in every Archtype. Lili is. Same goes for Architekt of thoughts. He basicly is only good in a Control Shell, Lili is good everywhere
I managed to pick one up from a draft last week, and although I don't play standard, it seems like people are saying that I should consider holding onto it a little longer.
Having been playing LtLH since release, I feel comfortable in agreeing with the claims that she wins games on her own. Some of my Standard matches have come down to just sticking a Lili and generating an insurmountable advantage in 2-3 turns. I think she's as good as LotV, what people don't realise is that they're really different cards, and which you should choose will be based on personal preference and deck construction choices (or just run a split). For these reasons I would think that LtLH will stay high throughout her time in Standard, amd will eventually break into Modern to hold some long-term value.

That's my thought as well. Her +1 is relevant against aggro decks, her -2 is a way to get card advantage in a tight spot and works well even in non-creature focused decks assuming they have flashback cards like Goblin Dark-dwellers and Snapcaster Mage, and her Ult can end games. She's probably one of the strongest 3 mana planeswalkers ever printed. I don't think her role is going to be as ubiquitous as Liliana of the Veil, though.

I think LotV is probably still the better variant for Jund (*not a Jund player) but LtLH grants a huge boost to some more niche archtypes like bigger Abzan Midrange decks that might want to recur Siege Rhino, Knight of the Reliquary and maybe even get another cycle with kitchen Finks. Also, her +1 is deceptively good even against creature she doesn't kill or turn into 0/Xs, so I would keep an open mind outside of aggro matchups
I played Liliana of the Veil in standard during Innistrad/RTR and the amount of times she would just end the game herself was incredible. Blind Obedience and a large removal suite certainly helped.
Liliana, the Lats Hope appears to be the same way, but with a more friendly +1 to keep her safe (and not discard your removal).

You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
