Hi!
I have a bunch of old cards that I'm finally admitting I have to sell. They're primarily from the Revised Edition, but I have a good few cards from expansion sets like Legends, The Dark, etc. The prize cards are probably my dual lands, of which I have a dozen or so. There are a few others cards (Demonic Tutor, Wheel of Fortune, Mana Matrix, Armageddon, Maze of Ith, Whirling Dervish) that are also worth some money, but the majority aren't worth much individually.
I've been advised to try to sell them as a whole locally, and this is what I'd like to do, but I don't know how to price the whole collection. After I entered my collection into Mtgprice.com, I got a "Total Value" of $2,428.30. The price I got when I clicked on their "Sell to Venders" link was $913, but it also claimed it couldn't find a price for my Underground Seas and Scrublands, so...not sure I trust that. I'm not in a rush to sell and want to get what I can, but I also don't want to spend ages selling each card individually.
What's a good price? I uploaded an excel file with all my cards here.
Really grateful for any advise at all. A lot of good memories associated with these cards, but it's time to move on...
Thanks!
and sell them individually. Offer them for TCGMarket (click on the card link and it'll show you the price from TCG, look for the green number). Take the rest and sell it as a lot for maybe $50. Expect to have people try to negotiate down; advertise it as "Old School (1993/94) Magic card collection" and people will be interested. I don't know where you are, in the world, so whether or not you have a local community who might be interested in buying the cards, how safe it'll be to meet random strangers while carrying several hundred dollars worth of cards - I can't speak to that. But that's what I'd do if I wanted to move that list.

Thanks! So, the rationale behind selling those cards separately is that I'll get a better price? My thinking was that I could get someone to buy the bunch if I packaged those cards with the rest. Is that mistaken? I'm in Toronto, so there is a local scene here, with Facebook buy/sell group that I was going to pitch this to.
Really appreciate your taking the time to respond! Many thanks!
You'll get more by selling the money cards individually, but it could take longer. Selling the whole thing in one shot will be easier, but you'll need to discount it. No one wants to pay for a bunch of cards they don't really need when their interest lies in a handful of a the duals, so you'll need a lower price to compensate, unless it's a vendor or someone looking to buy with the intent to resell, neither of which are going top be interested in paying anything close to retail.

Yeah, pretty much. A reasonable price for the whole lot will be more than most people will be willing or able to pay, so by parceling out the high-end stuff, you avoid the "bulk discount" that people will expect, and you open your market up to people who only have, say $100 and want one card. If you package them all together, the people who have the cash to afford to buy the whole lot will value every single card that I didn't list at $0, because they already have five. You'll have more of a hassle, but not too much more - selling 18 individual cards shouldn't be that harrying.
Edit: Presuming your duals are NM. If they're beat up, knock anywhere from 20% to 40% off the asking price depending on condition.
You should be able to do okay with a Facebook group and a local scene, since you live in a major North American city. Good luck; let us know how it goes.

So, basically do this. Pull out these cards:
- 3 Taiga
- 3 Savannah
- 2 Badlands
- 2 Scrubland
- 3 Bayou
- 1 Wheel of Fortune
- 1 Underground Sea
- 3 Plateau

Best Price
Least effort.
