I'd just like to point out that since Nov 24th (when I gave you guys a heads up in the last thread) ]Painful Truths has risen 30 cents and foils have risen $8.50. Didn't want to brag just wanted to mention the moves it's made.
It looks like Painful Truths is seeing a lot of market movement, with a consistent 20 trades per day on Puca. The question is whether this will lead to a price jump of the level of Tasigur or other rares.

Yep, just a week ago, abugames had a playset at $5.32. Now they're $13 a pop on Ebay and sold out at many online stores. Grixis Control plays it and other decks are trying it. Not to mention, the alternate art Starter deck foil version was bought out a short time ago.

Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger seems to be slowly ticking up these past few weeks after bottoming around $14.50. There's a few Standard and Modern lists he shows up in according to mtggoldfish but has there been any standout cases where Ulamog shines in?

As someone who bought 3 of them recently from my LGS, there are 2 reasons that Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger has gone up.
The first one is that a Naya Ramp deck won the Player's Championship. Although it is an odd meta, only being the 16 best SCG players, Naya Ramp does indeed seem like a wonderful choice at a tournament in a sea of Dark Jeskai and Abzan Aggro. Ulamog is a 4 of in the deck.
The second reason is because of Modern and the main reason I bought them. Bx Processors is a deck picking up steam and the deck plays 2 of them, while being able to Eye of Ugin up a copy if needed. It is the top end of the deck, although in my opinion after playing only 6 rounds, Ulamog may end up being unnecessary.

Just as a price update, Ulamog has cracked the $20 from around $15-16 in less than a week. Foils have moved closer to the promo version so there is no longer a gap between the 2.
So I don't follow Standard or its price trends much, but I recently won a box of BFZ and pulled a Gideon. I know it's impossible to predict the post OGW meta but what is the consensus on his playability? What are the typical price trends for a planeswalker like him? Should I hold, or sell now? Thanks in advance!
Another price update on Ulamog. He's now the most expensive nonfoil card in Battle for Zendikar overtaking Gideon. Foils have been bought out and version depending, they are sitting around $70 from around $40 just in the past 2-3 days.

He is trending downwards for now. If Esper Tokens, Superfriends, or Abzan become strong with the next set, his price should stop free falling. Otherwise, Sell now.
Kozilek's Return now only has five cards available at TCG, with the cheapest being almost $20. Ebay has them at $18. Earlier this morning I saw them for around $15-16 on TCG. I think this may have been caused by people reading this article from MTGGoldfish:

Won a foil Jace, Vryn's Prodigy in a side-event... I am mainly an EDH and occasional Modern player, though, and I know much of what's driving its price is Standard. Trade it now, or wait a few months until SOI?

If you want the most value out of it, I highly doubt that Jace is going to get any higher than current. Jace currently has found his way as a 4-of in half the top placing decks currently, which is a function of the 3 and 4 color mana-bases going on. Given that Fetches rotate out with SoI, which both make it easier to play him in a wider range of decks as well as flip him, I simply can't see him being played more heavily than current. We will likely return to a more "normal" mana base, restricting the number of decks that can play it significantly. While it'll always be a player in standard, I don't forsee it being as major as right now.
Equally, it's almost unheard to have a $70 Standard staple (And while yes, there is eternal demand, the majority of his demand is coming from Standard). The card just doesn't have anywhere to trend upwards from this point.

I would argue the opposite. While Standard is largely driving the demand for JVP, the card IS played across all older formats, and as such, will maintain a good deal of its price after rotation. Additionally, with no core sets and no ability to print DFCs in supplementals, they have no outlet to reprint him, so long-term the price will go up.
As a foil, it's particularly attractive for older formats. I can easily see the foil on this card going for 2-3x the current value in a few years.

Yeah, that card went up from from 15 when I did my article this morning.
The card was already $20 and sold out on SCG and Card Kingdom a few days ago, I don't think it's because of the article.
Oh ok, I just noticed what was happening on TCGPlayer and thought it was worth letting people know.
Yup, looks like its up to around $25-$26 on the low end of NM pricing now, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see it continue to slowly rise.
