Death Shadow esper build has been putting up results and Orzhov Charm is the special sauce. 2 modes are killer in the deck and synergize with Delver and Deaths Shadow very well.
I agree. I've got my own little cheat sheet of when it's time to buy into cards from Modern Masters. Now, when you see prices turn around and start going back up, you should act right away because that means they've hit the floor. No shame in missing the floor as long as you're close to it. But, even without seeing them hit the floor, I'm buying at these prices:
Why these particular cards? I think they're very generally useful cards that are played in every format they're legal (including casual and EDH) from time to time. The cards in bold already sunk to right about these levels or below in some places. I do not know if all of them will actually get this cheap, but I know if they do, I'm in.
As a bit of a showing of the different markets between the EU and the US, I just checked on ebay and tcgplayer and the lowest singles price for Damnation is still $21 shipped. Checking the link, it looks like on MKM that there is 1 copy available for 12 euros, 3 copies available at 13 euros and then the rest are all 14 euros or higher. I suspect the likely bottom given we are just about a week out from the release so the initial frenzy of box openings should begin to slow a bit, might be around 10 euros depending upon how desperate people are to sell. Any lower than that and I would be legitimately surprised.
Did someone buy out Devoted Druid? I cant find many atm.
Certainly looks that way. Lowest price I could find was $6 now ($24 playset). Ebay has all new listings, so that pretty much tells the story right there.
Why has Dark Confidant been rising overall by about 75% (online price) since AER release? Looking at the metagame, the only deck that plays it anymore is traditional jund, which is somewhere in Tier 2 or 3.

For what it's worth..
Dark Confidant was nearly one of my picks on MTGFastFinance a couple of weeks ago, as a perennial staple that got printed twice in Modern Masters (2013) and again in Modern Masters 2015 but not in MM17. Since the release of the new set in mid-March, this Jund staple has moved up $10 from $38 to $48 or so, but there are still copies out there closer to $42 and those seem like a solid pickup. I would expect Dark Confidant will hit $60-$70 before it sees another reprint as NM inventory across the three printings is relatively low for a Top 40 creature in Modern. Not a huge home run, but a solid hold that you can play with while it gains value.
So...does anyone understand why the prices for Shivan Reef and Llanowar Wastes went down so fast?
I would guess because of the enemy fast lands like blooming marsh replacing them. Adding to that the enemy pain lands were printed 5-6 times already.

I wish this was a joke, but no, Nightmare actually somehow spiked to $7.00 for a minute there on someone's algorithm. I wonder who was the genius who tried that buyout?

It was a common trend for those "extra" cards that appeared in M15 -- see Terra Stomper for another example:
Did Bolt spike in price? Last I checked it was around $3. Now it's, like, $4-$5.
Assuming you are referring to lightning bolt You can still find them for as low as $2 shipped for NM copies on tcgplayer, and there are a ton still available below $3.
Wanderwine Prophets has gone from ~$1 to ~$10. Someone must have found a way to sneak this bloated costing fish into action...
I am pretty sure this is an EDH spike. Inalla, Archmage Ritualist works great with it to get infinite turns since it is a Wizard.
Definitely an EDH spike. You get infinite tuna.
I don't think that it's a combo piece that will make its way to Modern, but the door has been opened and people are now more aware that the card exists. If some sort of Splinter-Twin-Esque enchantment gets printed in the future, this could be good?

Pure guesstimation here, but I'd guess it'll bottom out around $10. $5 is highly unlikely.
