Predict has been showing up in many miracles lists, up to 3-4 in the 75. Foils are drying up as they're only $4-5.
Hope everyone who wanted a foil Predict listened to Sparki. Looks like they've almost completely dried up and the remaining copies are listed at $50+ on US shops/ebay.

I think palinchron has been undervalued for a while. Nasty card for infinite mana loops, good body size on a flier, lots of ways to abuse untapping lots of land, only one printing... I think many EDH players have finally figured out all the mean things this old card can do and its finally reached what it probably should have been worth for a while. No involvement with Legacy.

I have a full set of Japanese P3K. What's it worth now? The usual suspects only seem to list English.
Probably should go in the "misprints, foreign, and rarities" thread, but I'll take a stab here. There's a guy on eBay asking 4k for a Chinese set. Dave and Adam (an established, reputable seller) is offering an English set for $3850 OBO. The last English set that actually SOLD went for $2400, though, and that was via bids. I would say your JP set would probably fetch between $1500 and $2000 - remember that this is one of the few products where EN is in higher demand than JP.
This is, at this point, a purely collector's item. There are still a scant few cards that are used in EDH (Capture of Jingzhou) or Vintage (Imperial Seal) that haven't gotten a reprint, and a couple that could use another reprint (Imperial Recruiter), but most of the cards that people want to use have been reprinted in some form or another. This limits your market a lot, since most collectors (such as myself) would prefer an English set if we're going to spend that much money.

Something's up with FTV Lotus petal. SCG is sold out @ $30, only 3 copies on TCG @$75+. Ebay has two @ $90. Looks like buyout quietly occurred on 7/28, no sales since the last copies under $30 were sold, but none of have been sold at its new price either.

It is the only foil version of a card that really should have been in EMA. Not surprised that someone noticed the omission and decided to jump on it.

Yeah, I bought my set at GP Memphis a year or two ago @ $15 ea and remembered thinking about how abnormally cheap they were for the only foil printing of a Legacy staple.

Someone was obviously watching when Recruiter of the Guard was spoilt yesterday...
... Aluren is currently sitting at somewhere between $25 and $45, depending on who you ask...
Well, I mean... of course? Deck used to cost $1,200.00 for recruiters + the rest of the deck, and now, even with the insane pre-sale price of $30.00 for an in-print RARE (lol) that price just dropped to $120 + other stuff. Of course people are gobbling up Aluren.
Stay away, though. The deck is fun but not a tournament-winner, and probably is slightly worse than Misthollow Griffin combo. To me, that puts the max price for Aluren, long-term, at under the price of Food Chain, which is $19.00 or so in paper.

Buyer beware.
Martin Goldman-Kirst, a semi-pro player always plays it whenever he's playing legacy, and he's made other people want to play the deck. He's played the deck to some success making top 8s in major tournaments, though I don't remember how many.
I've seen Aluren rise and fall a few times now and would also advise caution. That said, with the battlefield-focused/creature-heavy direction Magic is going in, if there's any busted-ass effect that just gets better and better over time, it's probably Aluren.
I agree that Aluren isn't where you want to be for consistent tournament wins and I say that as someone who owns and loves the deck. The new Recruiter doesn't do anything to help with the awkward manabase. Aluren is still a reserved list card with a unique effect, so some of that spike is going to stick. Just not all of it.

I feel that despite being arguably not as good as Food Chain, Aluren is protected by the Reserved List, while Food Chain isn't, which may help keep it slightly above it. I could see it stabilizing at around $25 or so.
What do people think of Conspiracy 2's reprinting of Berserk? The card should come down some, eh?

Some people think it will not come down at all, but others say that because CN2 has an open-ended print size that even at Mythic Rare it will double the amount of ABU Berserks in existence.

This person thinks that it won't really dent the price of extant Berserks, but this version will be the cheapest available, and so the cost of a generic 'Zerk will be cheaper.

Agreed. ABU copies are still more collectible and will hold value, but this one is going to be significantly cheaper than those. I would also expect the FTV prices to drop as long as the foiling on this one isn't the same.

Looking into slowly buying into Shardless BUG - coming from Modern I have everything except for the duals. I was considering buying beat up Revised duals and having them altered into black-bordered by someone who knows their *****.
Is this a bad decision? Will this affect their value heavily? Will judges usually clear this at GPs?

Galspanic does a pretty nice alter.
As far as alterations affecting value, it will shrink the audience of people who are willing to take it later on, but those who are willing to take it may pay more for the privilege. Personally, I don't like altered cards (except for the original artist doing a little doodle), and I won't trade for an altered card except at a heavy discount. I see it as damaged - and most stores will agree with that assessment. If they're starting as damaged, then you don't have much to lose, though.
