Should we have a "93/94 Price Discussion" thread, or a less-specific "Casual Price Discussion" thread?
Arabian Nights and Antiquities cards have been seeing stupid price increases, whereas their reprint counterparts have been seeing almost no movement whatsoever. It's almost certainly because of the '93/'94 crowd, and it doesn't fit into Standard, Modern, Legacy or Commander price discussions.

not really a complaint or anything, but is it possible to sticky the new "X Format Price threads" i got so used to clicking them all near the top of the page.

This will be discussed among the staff. This was a decision I made, but it is not set in stone.
Hi, I tried PM'ing a mod a while ago but got no reply. Would you permit an online store to post here to inform your members when we have RELEVANT competitions, blogs and promotions on? We wouldn't post about each new release, you all know when and what they are :)I didn't see it expressly forbidden in the Rules but it's polite to ask and we PROMISE not to spam.
You are welcome to make a thread in the Market Street Cafe Store Discussion (link)to do that.
Hey Rai, not sure if I should PM you or what but this seems like an issue with the Cafe, so I'll bring it up here. There's a thread that was started today that seems to have Phasing. It appeared about 12 hours ago, was gone when I tried to click on it, came back about 4 hours ago, and is now gone again. Any insight into what's going on?
Started by Owaria, named Artist Proofs. It's probably something that should have gotten merged into the Oddities/Misprints thread, but it's not there either. It's a question about the value of some MTG artist proof cards, so it probably belongs here - in fact, I answered it when it phased back in, and I can't even remember what I said.
We use a spam filter here that automatically recognizes spam posts and removes them. It's a self-learning system that sees what we mark as spam and not to adapt to our forums and hit spam quickly while leaving normal posts untouched. We get hundreds of spam posts daily, and the filter does it's job exceptionally well. 99% of all spam posts are removed within a minute of having been posted. Unfortunately the filter isn't perfect and it will occasionally get a false positive. This only happens with new users, and it's rare (a couple times per week at most), but it does happen.
Owaria's thread was unfortunately a victim of this rare false positive.
There were enough elements that "reminded the filter of posts we've told it were spam in the past" that it marked it as spam. The filter system is very complex, so we can't say "this" or "that" specifically made the filter think it was spam, but being his first post, some of his word choices, having attachments (spammers like to do this), etc, were enough to make push it over the edge for the filter.
It was marked as spam at multiple levels, and we didn't catch them all at first. That's why it bounced back and forth a couple times. I've made sure everything is marked Not Spam correctly now, so the post and thread will absolutely stay untouched now.

Apologies for the confusion.
Thanks, Feyd. Totally understand - I deal with similar issues in my day job. If I spot that happening to another thread, should I post here, PM you, what's the best thing to do to get it sorted?

People keep posting separate threads asking if they should be selling something, when they could be posting in the Unofficial Buy or Sell thread. Can you merge all of these threads into that thread?

Along those lines, we get about one post a week (on average) from new users who seem to be making accounts solely to ask how to sell a collection. We've answered this question so many times, and granted, details are different from user to user, but maybe it'd be good to have a giant sticky thread collecting all of our advice. Or maybe pull those posts into a subforum: "Selling your collection", next to Store Discussion and Market Street MODO Cafe. Or maybe someone could write an article on it and drop it someplace visible. Thoughts?

I haven't been in the forums in a couple of years and missed lots of the updates that have since happened to MTGS. Are individual trade threads no longer a thing on here?

At the top of every page you will see a link that says "Trading Post" Thats where all of the good stuffz happen!
Good Luck!

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it....
So, I haven't traded on here in ages, took a break from mtg for a while. I am pretty sure I had more then 4 good trades. What happened to those? It looks like now there is something called itrader. I read the sticker posts, but I guess I'm confused. Does only iTrader matter now?

Hi SpaceGeist,
I have been a moderator at MTGS for 5+ years, and I've only known it as iTrader references. Also, any and all trades came over from the move to Curse, and as a matter of fact, it used to be only "unique trades" counted. So if you traded with me 3 times, although you would leave positive feedback for me all 3 times, it would only count as 1 point. Now all trades made are worth a point (or negative point)
Hope this helps,
Duxx

Not new here, traded before (quite successfully, lots of modern staples).
However since I last wanted to trade on here it's changed a bit and I can't see where to post trades anymore. No sub-forum or thread, no info on where to go, no sign-up link (if needed) or mod contact to get started. All I see is the café and a bunch of threads on pricing.
I don't want to garner an infraction and would love to start trading again. How does it work!?
Cheers =)

Hi Purklefluff. See the "Trading Post" link up top? That's where you go - you don't need to post your own list in order to trade with someone else, just go ahead and contact them.
When you do decide to post your own list, I highly recommend that you add a location.
Any other questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for reaching out to us!

See: City of Brass and Triskelion for example.
I was debating about a "Vintage/Casual" Price thread. I will talk it over with the rest of the MS staff.
Send me a PM with details, I might be able to help; I've done quite a few third party trades here.

Pretty good suggestion; I will let the rest of the staff know and make a decision.
Thanks for the input!
