So I'm noticing two things with the BFZ expeditions:
1. many are showing up out of the pack with damage to the right side of the card; and
2. SCG and nearly every single vendor on tcgplayer only list NM expeditions for sale.
Is it possible for those online vendors to have just only NM expeditions or are they selling the damaged out of the pack expeditions as NM? If so, wouldn't they be breaching their own (or tcgplayer's) card condition guide because there is no way that kind of damage can qualify as NM even if it comes out of the pack like that. Does anyone have experience buying expeditions from online vendors? If so, what condition did yours arrive in?
I've seen exactly one expedition (the one I pulled) with damage on the right side. Strangely enough, the corners on the right are square as well.
Every other expedition I have seen IRL (which isn't a ton mind you, probably around 20) has been normal corner and no damage.

"It's like some kind of Voltron... made of elephants??"
That's good to hear. I've seen a few in real life (only like 4-5) and they all had scuffing on the right edge and there were also reddit threads on this as well:
which may have lead me to believe that this is a more widespread problem than I thought. If you haven't seen many then I wonder if it's possibly region-based or wave/shipment-based?
I'm thinking of buying some online but I don't want to enforce a refund/return/exchange on the grounds of the condition of the card.
There are some lightly played expeditions listed on tcgplayer. I'm guessing every one listed like that is actually straight from the pack but cut with a dull blade or w/e the problem is, rather than being a land some 8 year old played unsleeved at the prerelease.
If it's widespread enough it should have a pretty negative effect. At what point do people start to feel these are kinda 'cheap' like FTV's and Duel Decks?
If that really starts to sink in on any significant level, I expect these could just plummet.
I'm just sayin.. 'Deck Pimps' are WAY pickier than your average player. This is exactly the thing they obsess over--that's why they're pimping their decks in the first place.
All of these with similar "marks" that I've seen in-hand aren't really "damage." All it is is excess foiling process that bleeds onto the edge. Sure, some might not like it but it really doesn't take away from the card, IMO, and most that I've talked to don't mind. There's a fair amount of pack-pulled foils with marks like this on edges though it does seem more prevalent on these Expeditions.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
