Now that MM2 is spoiled and Aven Mindcensor is not in there, how high will it go? It has been hovering at around $10 for awhile now. Also, is there a chance that it could get reprinted in the near future as opposed to waiting until MM3?
I think they will be reprinting any card that is over priced. There is a good chance it will be in a commander or similar set in a year or two. BTW, when that card came out.. I bought about 300 of them for 30 yen each at various shops around Tokyo and Osaka. I thought it was a strong card in vintage and it was never really played in standard. Resold a few back to the same stores that I bought then for about 700 yen each.
Remember, Wizards has a 1 year development cycle. Something like that. So, when they notice a card getting too expensive, they need a year or so to address the problem.
From a competitive standpoint I think this card is overpriced and overrated. Sees very little play and doesn't really hose any of the strategies it's brought in against. Ex: People bring it in against Tron & Scapeshift but Mindcensor comes too late and is too easy to kill.
So I wouldn't buy in on this card just to take advantage of a potential price increase (it would be mostly hype rather than actual demand IMO)

It's easy to come to that conclusion when you only view the card in terms of one format. The card is great in Vintage and Legacy. It stops various strategies and comes down much faster then it does in modern because of all the fast artifact mana. Also, it's great to cast in response to a fetch land activation or fetch lands in general.
This isn't the card to look at as it see's very little play. Serum visions hasn't been reprinted since fifth dawn and arena promo/the print size is miniscule, the card is a 4 of staple in every single blue deck in modern, and has had movement since it was announced it wasn't in the set. I never really liked the card much at all from a play standpoint because it costs 3 mana/just infinite in the formats it can be played in and has a fragile body to boot.
I wouldn't buy into the card to hope to profit off of it. Could be reprinted in origins with ease/tank to nothing overnight and even if it isn't reprinted you're hoping that it does spike in value before it is inevitably reprinted.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
While Aven Mindcensor could surely use a reprint, it's lost its primary use, which was Birthing Pod hate. It also lost the Pod decks that were playing it. If it truly needed a reprint, it'd be worth more than Serum Visions, at least.
