April/May of this year seemed fine for Pucatrade, but since then it's been kinda...weird. I'm just glad I finally moved almost all of my latest points from there to cards I wanted. It's a shame that they weren't the #1 or #2 cards I was gunning for, but they'll do (pretty stoked to receive them).
Yeah...pucatrade at this point feels worse than just selling and buying what I want (and sometimes, depending on when/where I sell, I'm not losing much, if any, value).
It's not...BAD necessarily; got some sweet cards from this site, and (hopefully) the final package comes in on-time and unhindered. But I just don't really like having my points tied up for an indefinite amount of time. Then there's the whole thing where you're trying to trade for your #1 card, but you're somewhat forced to settling for your #2 or #3 pick. Furthermore, if you have enough pucapoints to grab the card you want, and if no one's willing to send, AND if the card's value increases, then you might be worse off than just selling and buying what you want (Ancestral Vision, Wasteland, Nahiri, etc). Lastly...pucapoints isn't real money (yes, I know you can buy/sell the points). Just doesn't seem safe to put any stock into.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
Just how slow were you sending? My average turn around is probably around 48 hours, longer to actually mark it as sent and I haven't faced any negative consequences.

Oh, I was pokey. I'm guessing on average between four and six days to mail. Although in my (not really needed) defense, I was always honest about the day I sent, and marked it as sent the day it was put in the mail. There are a lot of senders out there who had post-marked envelopes well past a week of marking cards as sent (I started looking after my suspension). Oh well, I'll ask to be reinstated so I can have the rest of my points fulfilled and then fade off of the site.
I never had an admin PM me to smarten up, although I would occasionally get a user PM me about cards going to them - maybe once a week or so... it didn't seem that frequent.
My list is quite long (with all sorts of oddities) and I haven't gotten a card since EMAs release...
Same here. I also seem to have a disproportionate amount of "not received" shipments lately, most notably within the EU. This is strange, since I use the same methods as I did with using MCM and only had a loss percentage lower than 2% over 2600 sales. Something has gone sour on Puca and I hope that everything will be fixed with the new site with the rest of you guys.
I cancelled my premium membership a few days ago. I got an email from Vinnie Ballesteri asking what cause me to cancel. This was my reply:
The recent announcement to start cracking down on point sellers is the entire reason for cancelling my pucatrade membership. I am now getting cards that I expect to retain their value with my remaining points and will use pucatrade very sparingly. Using pucatrade to profit on magic cards to supplement my income and fund my hobby is now no longer an option. This is very disappointing to me and your community is now losing someone that sent highly desirable cards to other users. That's already a huge complaint that your site has and now it will only get worse since I no longer have an incentive to send valuable cards on your site.
I enjoyed my time with pucatrade, but it is no longer what I need it to be.
Does anyone know what the new policy will be regarding non responsive receivers? I've never had a situation where the card definitively failed to arrive, but a couple receivers just never took any action, even after the csse was opened. Is that a loss that I would need insurance for, or do they assume the card made it and complete the trade?
So Ive traded a bit on Pucatrade some time ago, and just started again, getting about 25k points very fast. Now I had listed A LOT of cards i want with the total value of 212k, just for the sake of getting any of them soon. Its been more than a month now, and no cards were sent to me yet,nor did any user contact me.. I offer a bonus for some of those cards too, and added so many of them so that a user can see me favourably by sending more cards to me at once. What else can I do to get these cards? Or is there any way to sell the points and get the money to buy them in stores?
That's very strange, unless of course your 212K of wants are things like Moxen and Force of Wills and duals. These get sent, especially with bounties, but still not every day.
There are a lot of Facebook groups where you can sell the points for about 60-65 cents per hundred, though now may not be a good time to sell since if Puca's policies actually do end up revaluing points you're gonna miss out by selling now. At the same time, Puca has previously made a stand against big shops selling PP for cash, and I believe they've recently made statements regarding their intent to crack down on personal selling as well.

Have put it in the signature. And as for the cards on my want list, there is nothing as rare as those, though most of these are either standard or modern staples. But still, seems strange no one wants to trade. Is another problem maybe that Pucatrade seems much more popular in USA than here in EU?
I've seen several indications that the EU isn't the best place for Puca. Also people don't like sending staples with the continued value of PP being in question.

If you're asking for staples, and a significant portion of your wants are, you need to offer a bounty. It's just the simple truth. You're offering a bounty on literally 4 card on your 162 card want list. Couple that with the fact you're not in the USA, and you're competing against domestic receivers for staples, many of whom are offering a bounty, and combined that's two strikes against you.
So what's the deal behind this "PucaShield"? It looks like you can pay PP to insure a package (a percentage of the value sent). Man, another way to make things more costly... I suppose you don't have to use it, but still. Beyond a cursory glance, is it a good idea for those who are sending out big value?
They're switching up which features are free and which are premium. Prior to yesterday PT would reimburse you for cards lost or damaged during shipping. Now you pay for it with PP as a way of reducing the glut of them that exist. One of my friends is a biggish dealer and according to him the card attrition rate is around 1% for domestic US card shipments, so get insurance as you see fit.

To be honest you are correct, im only sorry I didnt realize that this is how Puca works before, because in that case I would have never even traded there. For people to offer up bounties, instead of the whole system being equal for everyone just seems ming boggling to me. I get the premium accounts, the Puca guys have to live off of something, but the bonuses I see, thats another story.
So now I can just hope I get some cards and maybe offer some more bonuses and be done with this site because it really is disappointing.
Bounties weren't always a way of life at Puca. I've been a member (at the Silver level) since March of 2015. I rarely saw bounties offered then. At that time, the secondary market for Puca points was about 82 cents per 100 points (of this I'm certain because I purchased about 7000 points in April at that price, after having "shopped around" for the best price. Today, points are regularly sold in the range of 60 to 65 cents per 100. It is this deflation of Puca points that has forced the hand of people to make them offer bounties (at least for staples). If a card retails for $20, it makes no sense to ship a card for 2000 points, when those points are only worth $12. Bounties basically counter the deflation aspect.
Still, it sounds like you've got a lot of points, 25,000 of them. I see you've now put a 10% bounty on all your wants. That may be a bitter pill to have to swallow, but just think of it this way, is an extra 100-200 points going to break your bank on a Fetch? Good luck!
I may pick up a few thousand if they've sunk that low. MTGO trading is (supposedly) right around the corner and I would like to put together a pauper deck or two.
I absolutely hate that they round up the cost for it. If i want to insure 10 cards worth 20 points each, it costs me 10 points even though I'm a gold member.

I hate the fact that you have to use points you have on hand rather than taking it out of the payoff when the trade finishes. I'm holding my Avacyn for the time being because I can't cover it until I get the points from one of my current sends. Meanwhile it's dropped nearly 400 points. I also hate that it's by card, not by envelope/receiver, though I suspect 2.0's package system will remedy that.
That said it's way cheaper than actual postal insurance.
In theory 1 PP = .01 USD with card values based on a proprietary index that usually, but not always, closely tracks tcg mid (I got burned a couple years back when I didn't realize Karmic Guide had a wide gap). In reality PP are trading at about .006 USD on the dark and seedy underbelly of the MtG black market.
If you're just using it as a price index treat the 1 = .01 as accurate, or even better use tcg mid.
Puca Shield/insurance is actually awesome because it's a point sink that will remove points from the economy. Puca will be adding more point sinks which are all GOOD things, it means inflation will come down and the value of PP will go back up towards what it started at.
And remember, Pucatrade is about TRADING, it wasn't designed to be a market place for people to profit from currency exchanges. People profit from what cards they trade on it and how they trade on it. (trading up, trading down, and so on).
If you use PUca to make profit, then honestly you probably aren't the intended customer they had in mind. The whole point of it is to bring traders together from around the world and remove the haggling over cards in the trade.

Except we're still haggling. What do you think bounties are? Except now a significant portion of the market is locked out of that because of the inability to send points.
I get that people hate bounties and I don't really like them either, but it seems necessary to use them to get sent stuff. That said, I offered a bounty on Cabal Therapy recently and got sent one, but the sender never claimed the bounty.
Also, I feel that Pucatrade is basically dead in the UK now. For some time, I couldn't keep points in my account, now I get maybe 1 or 2 okay cards per month and nothing else. I recently took to Reddit to post a huge set of bonus offers but have had no interest at all.
I'm new to PucaTrade and trying to figure something out. So I've spent a ton of time adding thousands of cards to my want list. But now I'm needing a few specific cards to build a deck. I don't see any way to temporarily remove the thousands of cards I've already added to ensure I get sent the few I need immediately. Is there any way around having to clear my want list and re-adding them all later?
