Train is still running full speed for me. Waiting some 22k worth of cards.
Well, yeah, you're offering 20% bounty. The problem is the elimination of the nonpremium members because of bounties.
I can only speak for myself, but i got 12k of cards floating in or on their way during the last few days as an non-premium user.
I even got my hands on the white Gearhulk and new Nissa.
All in all trades seem to increase slow but steadily during the last few days. I'll stick around, especially since these trades nearly finished my new EDH project without spending a dime besides shipment of my own cards...
I don't have any idea how you'd get in-demand standard Mythics without bounty.
I do understand filling out low demand EDH stuff. I've done a bit of that myself - in September I did get 4 packages, mostly full of oldish low-demand pieces for my Varolz and Zurgo Helmsmasher EDH decks in build. But I haven't been able to get a nibble in months on my wanted standard stuff... had Grim Flayers listed since EMN prerelease through all the lows and highs and never got any sent, nor any of my other standard wants (Bedlam Revelers, Eldritch Evolutions, Collective Brutalities, I couldn't even get people to send ****ing Keys to the City until I just went out and bought them). It appears to me that if you're a nonpremium and you want good standard cards you're guaranteed to be beaten by bounties and the only way to get moves is to want things that have no/low contention.
I noticed something odd on my account within the past few months. When I only had a couple dozen wants I was getting nothing...no trades at all. My wants (both times this happened) were mixed from cheap dollar rares and uncommons, to lower value EDH staples, to mid range staples (nothing over $15 for the most part). I kept expecting to have someone send something to me, but week after week there was nothing. Both times, I started to get worried that maybe I had missed the boat and I was going to be one of the people left with worthless points as PucaTrade collapsed around me.
So I started adding cards...pretty much anything that I even had a remote interest in acquiring....low and high end staples for EDH all the way up to higher end foils and things like shocks and fetches. Each time I added around 200-250 cards to my wants. Both times within 6-10 hours of adding them, my points would be gone. The second time I even had one trader send me two cards that had been on my wants from before and nothing else. The first time I had over 12,000 points, the second time I had around 3,500 points, and both times were a mix of low end and mid/high end cards that were sent to me.
Now I am still not 100% sure why this happened like it did, but I wonder...
Perhaps the way the new package sending works is affecting this? I know that now I personally rarely scroll very far through the trades to see what I can send so I often don't see any trades except the higher end cards and people who have a lot of wants that match my inventory. This got me thinking that maybe I am not showing up as visibly as I was before due to the amount of cards on my wants? It almost doesn't make sense though. A few of the trades I received were still only for a couple dollars worth of cards so I don't think it was value related in regards to where I must have been showing up on the list. I did notice that the average number of cards per package was generally more than I had been getting in the past though, so maybe there is something to this theory. I now wonder if the package trading feature has changed the way PucaTrades happen so that it is a lot less likely to get stuff sent if you have fewer wants...I sort of hope not though. I tend to go from a lot of wants to only a few depending on where I am at with my collecting and decks, and I don't want to think that I won't get any trades with a smaller, more focused want list.
Has anyone else had any experiences like this? It has only happened twice for me now so it could be coincidence, but both times I went from no trades for weeks to almost all my points vanishing within hours
No, exactly how it's working for me, too.
To get your wants up to the top of the Package Trade list, you need to have a) a fair heap of points, and b) a fair heap of cards in your Want List to spend those points on.
I was at 9K as we flicked over to Future Site, and had about 2K worth of EDH / kitchen table chaff in my Want List. It sat untouched for about a fortnight.
As soon as I clicked that that might be the new game, I loaded my Wants with shocks and fetches, and had almost 6K of my points gone within 24hrs.
That may be the reason why I don't notice any change. Got 664 cards on my want list as of now and I'm not done adding. I still have to go through 8 kitchen table decks and 3 EDH to list all proxies I'm using and potential decklist upgrades.

Since I'm sitting on 100k points still, I'm still not sending anything else until some stuff starts coming in. I have noticed a few of the things that others have mentioned though:
- You're more likely to get your wants if you simply have MORE wants on your list. With sending down at such a high rate, senders now have their pick of the litter about who to send to. They're almost always going to want to send to the people who they can send more cards to. I'm sure bonuses play into this too, but people are also inherently lazy. If they import their collection and find someone with a bunch of matches, they might just stop their search right there.
- I've been pretty negative about Puca lately, but I also do believe it can be saved. It might have to hit bottom before it bounces back, but I think it has a chance. The new website is still a steaming turd, but at the very least they've realized that removing points from the system needs to be a top priority. In the early stages of Puca, people weren't clamoring to send high value cards either. It took time to build trust. I think it will require a re-building of trust before that can or will happen again.

Any Puca trades you can send me would be greatly appreciated! Big want list and lots of points available.
Update: someone reached out to me wanting to trade a JtMS, but wanted to make sure I could reciprocate the trade. This has been a pretty good experience, although not the one PucaTrade was designed to deliver. At least now I have a Jace on the way
In any case, I think this is the strategy I'm going to pursue while confidence in the site is down.

Playing with proxied cards at sanctioned events is good, actually.
I've been down on Puca for awhile as well, and the new sight remains a dumpster fire, but in the interest of fairness I have gotten two rather large trades in the last couple of weeks:
GISA AND GERALF -232
ZOMBIE TOKEN (DOUBLE-SIDED) -288
ZOMBIE TOKEN (DOUBLE-SIDED) -288
ZOMBIE TOKEN (DOUBLE-SIDED) -288
SCULPTING STEEL (INVENTION) -3564
Still can't get anything here. I've got almost 20k worth of wants on my list, everything ranging from Bulk standard rares to cheap mythics to planeswalkers to EDH playables to more expensive cards like Shocks. Looking at the front page right now, all of the received cards went to people offering bonuses, but I've seen plenty of people's names on the front page who received cards and they don't have "OMG 20% BONUS HERE!!1" in their usernames. I see a lot of Kaladesh stuff moving but I can't get any of my Kaladesh wants. :/
I have 100k of wants on my list, and 63k points in my tank. Offering a 10% bounty on all nonfoil NM cards over 1000pp. I have some older things, but a handful of stuff from the newest sets. I get MAAAAAAAAAAYBE one package a month now. I haven't sent anything in two months because I need to use my points. My faith is completely shot.
I really feel sorry for you guys. Even if I do now offer bounties, I did not three weeks ago and was still receiving 2-5 package per week.
Dropped to 23k points as of now with nearly 1443k points worth of wants. Planning on starting to ship again in a few days, now that my brand new bathroom is completed .
Most of the packages I received were sent from Canada though, with a few notable exceptions. I've been trading online since 2006 and it has always been a problem, as more than half the people who are trading online don't want to ship internationally. I mean, I understand it's a bit more expensive but if you want to get a deal done you must sometimes put some water in your wine.
I'm doing it without bounties, but all of my hits are pretty much coming from within Australia (where "I live within 2000 miles of you" trumps "you have a massive stonking bounty", apparently).
But srsly, Shale is right - real Pucatraders do it internationally.
It still costs you guys half of what it costs me to ship between Oz and the US (AU$2.95 vs. the Global Forever stamp, which is... what? US$1.50 at best now?). Get on it! You'll get new friends in whole new countries!
I am happy to trade pretty much everywhere on the planet, so long as I am covering the cost of the stamp and sticking to the rules the eBay power sellers employ (i.e. don't post to South America, Italy, Spain or Portugal, as they are postal black holes). Still having 99% of my packages reach their destination (which is, I believe, standard form for the postal companies, and to be expected). I can still count the missing ones on one hand, and PucaShield has rendered each one not a problem since it came in.

The thing is, many of us in the US don't have a problem shipping internationally, there's just no need to do it. There's a large enough user base right here that, especially now with so many wants being unfilled, any card that I'd be interested in sending probably has someone in the US that wants it. $1.50 (it's really $1.36 for a non-machinable 1 ounce envelope) isn't a ton of money, but it's still more than .47 cents to send it domestically.

I stopped using PT close to a year ago, but I only accepted items from US senders the vast majority of the time for time reasons. My example case was getting a Reshape from an Australian sender. Three weeks for a $1 easily available card was stupid - it would have been worthwhile to just spend the dollar at a shop in that case (to be fair, I'm still not sure why anyone would spend more than the value of the card on postage, domestic or international). The only times I opened things up to most countries was when I was after more obscure cards like Urza block foils or the expensive Legends enchantments. I usually only shipped domestic because I could do all of that without leaving the house and never had a problem finding receivers. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a number of people with that viewpoint.

Yeah, Canadians have primarily been trading with one another, too (though the slowdown has made this already shallow pool even shallower). Of the past 20 packages I've received, 14 were from Canadian senders (5 American and one Brazilian). And my past 9 sends have all been to fellow Canadians.

Ah yes, good point - weight of numbers is indeed a factor.
Still, for those of you willing to give it a crack, don't discount the guy on top of your package list simply due to them being overseas.
Dang, man. How expensive were those cards? I only sent padded envelopes for orders over $100. Otherwise, the cost was too prohibitive and probably didn't add much protection over a simple sleeve in a toploader.
