I just got through my worst case scenario with a trade case and wanted to share the experience with you all. I got a Garruk Wildspeaker that the mailman must have dropped in a puddle. The envelope was slightly damp (kinda floppy but not wet to the touch), but as I opened it the moisture was locked inside. I couldn't even take the card out of the sleeve for fear of the friction tearing the card.
So I opened a case, and I honestly felt bad because the sender wasn't at fault but I shouldn't have to bear the burden. In the case log I asked if he wanted the card back, but we were in the same boat and he wasn't sure how to proceed. I actually halted the cards I was shipping until I knew how the Admin would handle the situation, as it has a huge influence on my continued use of PucaTrade. Out of the 4 trades I was holding off on 1 guy busted a gasket because of the 48 hour rule and apparently he needs that $1 foil Defy Death badly, the other three understood and appreciated the heads up.
Admin ended up crediting both of us for the card due to the 100% Trade guarantee. No one got the short end of the stick and I'll be happy to keep using Puca. The guy that wants the Defy Death would have had it in the mail by now but he wanted to cancle, so he opened a case and alerted an Admin and won't accept the trade cancelation, so that's ongoing but I really don't care how that one falls he can keep my points he ain't getting the card.
For the Garruk, a trick with top-loaders is to snip one of the sides with a pair of scissors to gain better access to get stubborn cards out. Obviously be careful! As for opening a case, I've had similar transactions, and do feel bad, but at the end of the day, the sender is responsible for it arriving in good condition. As long as you communicate with the sender (pictures are always worth 1000 words) and open the case in a polite way, there should be no hard feelings - these things happen. Glad the admins credited both of you.
As for the douchebag that whined about the 48 hours, cancel and block. The admins will see he/she's being an idiot and will cancel it for you. Never seen anyone act like that. Yet.
Over a $1 foil uncommon? Man, he deserves a kick in the pants and a kitten to hug. I wouldn't give him the card either.
The funny part is I was trying to do him a favor as I have a $1.50 minimum normally. I had a couple good trades that more than made that difference and I had seen him wanting the card for months so I figured why not. Lol, hope he has fun waiting another couple months.

Pucatrade has Thought-Knot Seer non-foil at $15+ and the foil at only $6.
How long does it usually take them to get stuff like this corrected?
Flag the item, longest I have seen a discrepancy go is 48hrs.
EDIT: Finally found the little flag icon.
Thanks!
We're about to break your 48-hour record. Still at $6. Promo is at $40, though.

I unsubscribed from my Uncommon membership earlier this month. My bet is that this price will be updated within minutes of me no longer being able to sell foils.

You can send foils no matter what level you are. You have to be premium to RECEIVE foils.

Ah, yeah. Thanks for the reminder.
Price got updated. Right on the 48-hour mark (give or take an hour). Listed $5 below the promo price.
Seems like that would be due for an adjustment after a couple days, yeah?
Did Paypal Multi-order shipping go up in price again?
My most recent order was $2.60...I thought it was $1.94 or $2.04 or something.
I noticed the price increase when I went to print out shipping labels from my weekend sales on ebay. Talk about sticker shock, eesh. Apparently not only did USPS raise the price for first class package shipping (though its the same price for 1 ounce - 8 ounces now instead of just 1 ounce - 3 ounces...), but they also removed the online discounts that would show up when I would print out the labels on ebay. So double whammy there. It was $2.04 before for 1-3 ounces, now its $2.60 for 1-8 ounces, fun times, fun times -.-
Man, wet cards I didn't consider that. Think I will invest in a box of sandwich baggies at the dollar store and ship all toploaders inside a baggy inside the envelope just in case.

Yeah, this time of year with all the rain and snow and other nasty weather, envelopes getting wet isn't that uncommon at all. Part of why I always ship my cards in bubble envelopes (up to 4 cards in a penny sleeve, that inside of a toploader, that wrapped in a standard envelope, and then that stuffed into a standard #000 size bubble mailer. Cards tend to survive just about anything :p. I know what some people do though is put the toploader in one of those sports card "team bags" with the sealable tops, those tend to work really well and have basically no thickness to them. Something to consider :).
Has anyone else had an issue getting their bonus points from this promotion they are doing? I signed up and I still have not received my points. I put in a ticket and got an email response basically saying they would get back to me soon, and that has been a couple days ago with no response. Is there a better way to go about this that I am not aware of or should I just submit another email?

Have you ever subscribed/upgraded before? Even just for 1 month for $5? If so, you are not eligible for the bonus points a second time (even if they are different amounts).

I had an envelope slip out of my wife's hand in our front yard that got rained on all night. The next day, while the penny sleeve was hard to pull out of the toploader from the water tension, the cards inside were wet but dried fine with no issues. Not to tell you how to send your cards, but a little water in my sample size of one let me know that it was okay.

Be wary about previously wet cards. The trouble with those, is quite often, especially if the cards got wet from the side at all, you will notice some slight wrinkling to the card even after they have been adequately dried. Many people who buy cards will closely inspect them to make sure no issues like that exist with the cards. Just something to keep in mind.
Well there goes a valuable tool for Pucatrade for chrome users: Pagemonitor has been "Upgraded" into an abomination that they call Visualping without notice. This new program has the seems to have the same functionality with the added bonus of spamming you with ads everytime you investigate a change in a monitored site. Needless to say I removed it immediately.

I've heard that putting cards flat in the freezer inside a baggie helps this. Currently testing to confirm.

Is anyone else experiencing a slow down of want fulfillment? I have about $20 worth of points and 21 wants at various price points (mostly $5+), but no fish are biting. Maybe all the points being generated by the new special is to blame?
RE: Wet Cards
I once set a Genesis Hydra on a towel, not realizing that it was moist and the card absorbed enough moisture to be visibly swollen. I put it inside the cover an old textbook and left it overnight (pages above the card). The next day the card was fine again, making this the greatest success my card hospital has ever had.
(I have my previously frozen cards inside a book with a weight on them, so I'll report back on that in this post tonight.)
I'm having absolutely no fulfillment issues. I can't seem to maintain any consistent amount of PucaPoints...as soon as I get some, they're gone because people have sent me more stuff.
Maybe what you're looking for is just highly obscure?

Hello guys, I am just getting into Pucatrade and have a lot of high value cards but most of the people dont even have a fraction of the points so its really hard to move them, is this common or I am just looking in the wrong places? (or maybe because I am not a premium member...)

Hi everyone. Apologies if this has been answered before, especially if it has been recently, but is it possible to search out foreign printings on PucaTrade? Never used the site, but have been considering it if it allows me to get these cheaper.

Also, for the high demand stuff like shocks, fetches, modern/legacy staples, it helps to offer a bounty of somewhere near 10%.
