Basically the story is that I have been saving up and investing in legacy miracles for a while. I had finally saved up enough to buy two revised Tundra's off of Ebay from a reputable seller for a good price, 130 each. Sure enough it gets lost in the mail. Tracking has been stuck on "accepted" for a week now. The seller has been very responsive working with me to try to track the package down and I know I'm covered by ebay buyer protection, and he has all the insurance info through USPS to get a refund. Just sucks for this to be the only lost cards in the mail over the hundreds I've probably ordered over the years.
Hope it works out! I once had something showing as 'delivered' and it was sitting at the post office for a few weeks. Sucks that the world may be down two duals, and sucks that you're on the receiving end of this!
I had two pals and one was sending a candelabra to the other a few years back - it was insured and sure enough it got lost in the mail.
Well, UPS (if I remember correctly). He opened up a case and reported it missing they investigated and saw that it had made it to the destination city, but seemed to have gotten lost.
He tells me that the sender got his insurance value back via check (although I think he said that he had to prove it's monetary worth - not by ebay price, but with a reciept).
BUT it turns out that about 8 months later, the Candelabra shows up a the intended recipient's place - with a lot of damage to the bubble mailer but the card inside was fine. So they both made out ok!
I'm couldn't guarantee that'll be your case (or that my pal wasn't embellishing, but I believe him on this) - but something like that could happen. It's probably happened to plenty of others, too.
Hey all thanks for the responses! Hearing your stories both good and bad is pretty welcomed given the obvious frustrations! I'll let ya know what ends up happening!
I've had the USPS site say accepted, and the card be sitting in my mailbox. Sometimes, they never update the info. But glad you're covered. Let us know what happens.
I lost mail before that was marked delivered with signature confirmation. I waited a week then filled out a complaint on usps . Com. They send the issue to the post office that had it last. I had to talk to the post master and he said it got forwarded to a sorting facility out of state. It eventually showed up but too over a week of waiting.
What is the exact wording on the mail listing? I am asking cause some sellers will create the shipping label and the computer will say accepted but the package has not shipped. Happened to me multiple times with Ebay.
Call the USPS location where the last notification of mail was. I did and they found one behind a stack, another that was trapped by freight (mail keeps being stacked on it and it is never moved), and the others were never actually given to the USPS to mail. Call and open a case for the investigator.

thanks.
My zip code is one digit off from a European military base. If you replace the zero with a nine, a package sent to me will end up in Europe. First time this happened was a foil shock - not huge, like your Tundras, but not insignificant either. The status on the web page said "Missent" for about six weeks. I had contacted the seller to pursue the matter through his local post office, when it just randomly arrived one day with a red "MISSENT" stamp on it.
Fear not. There's a decent chance that it'll actually make it to you.

Hey thanks for the responses all. I've opened a case with usps, and gotten a call from the sending post office, to which they said they will just check the tracking, still waiting on a call from my post office.
The seller has been very cooperative with this, sending me a picture of the signature confirmation receipt. Idunno if I should call the shipping post office again to have them check again for the package? As it says "accepted" Im almost positive that this means it is lost somewhere in the original post office and hasn't been sent out yet.
I made a trade here a long time ago for a Library of Alexandria. I sent out in the mail:
1x Force of Will
1x Taiga
1x Jace, The Mind Sculptor
4x Spell Snare
I'd never lost a package in the mail before. That's the only one.
Similar story here - lost precisely 1 package in 200 trades and ~500 purchases - an Underground Sea shipped to Canada for a Mana Drain earlier this year.
Only package I've had a problem with is when I bought 3 Mana Drains a few years ago. Seller, for the most part, packed them well, in a padded envelope between two toploaders. The package got mangled and when I received it was in a bag with a "Sorry, but here you go" note. Two LP Mana Drains became damaged, not sleeve playable cards.
I've recently had a string of packages come up missing (well, 3 in this case), all shipped within the US and all to different places. But given the lack of packages disappearing before in my years of selling on ebay et all, I was just glad that I insure everything :p. I even had an express mail package 1-2 day delivery, that took over a week to arrive, that was a head scratcher for sure. In the end I ended up filing and successful getting the money for about $800 in insurance claims, and got my money back (after much research and using USPS own website information against them) on the shipping for the express mail one :p. That was all over something like a 1 month span too, since then things have been fine again. Unfortunately USPS does lose packages from time to time, though it does tend to be rare. At the end of the day its important to make sure any high valued items are shipped with a trackable insured method (signature conformation is also a good idea) to make certain you are covered in case USPS does screw up. And yes I have seen instances where packages dropped off the face of the earth only to arrive a month later or get returned to me several months later unexpectedly. I think the record for one being returned to me was 6 months after I mailed it (looked like the bubble mailer had been dropped and stepped on a few times, but the cards were fine, was the strangest thing. I stopped shipping internationally many years ago simply due to the cost for the above secure methods and due to the significantly increased risk of loss/damage vs just shipping within the US. Once again the vast majority of the time there are no issues, but when you have an issue is when you become thankful for taking the precautions to avoid the potentially large losses for higher valued items. I wish the OP good luck and hopefully your cards eventually show up, its never fun to lose something, especially when its something like a Tundra x.x .
While not related to cards, we do some billing (about 20,000 per year). Usually a handful (less than 10) get claimed as lost by recipient. We had one letter get returned to us that was labeled "undeliverable" that was very beat-up. Looked at the postmarked date and found it was a bill sent out 2 YEARS ago. Ya, sometimes things get stuck in the system.
I've had 3 packages go missing from USPS over the years.
First was 3x Dark Confidant. Second was 1x Jace, the Mind Sculptor. Third was a FBB Chinese Mana Vault.
The first two were covered by eBay since both senders had no tracking info. I actually think they just never sent them since the winning bids were pretty low, even at the time (Dark Confidants were $11 each, JTMS was $30).
The Mana Vault was most likely stolen by someone, possibly the mailman. USPS claimed they had proof of delivery w/ signature since the sender sent it registered + insured. So when I asked to see the signature, of course there was nothing in the system. They eventually wrote a letter of apology and assumed responsibility for the loss, but I never followed up on it since it wasn't that expensive (~$15).
So a final update, after waiting and opening a case with consumer affairs the seller issued me a refund. Sad that usps couldn't find the package, but very thankful to have dealt with such a good seller.
Welp, guess I'm back in the market for some tundras...

Why couldn't they have damaged any other package?
