I've broke down all the numbers...ranging from over priced vendors such as SCG to TCG player "Low", but this is still a very large pile of ubber`ness that I need to move in the next 2 weeks.
What's a fair evaluation for this project (I've had 20 inquires, but no resolution)?
I have it currently listed at $1500
As most my close contacts/clients know my grading is pretty harsh to ensure maximum results, so when you see Ex+/Nm it basically means Near Mint-Mint and so on.
Thanks for your time and effort folks.
Sincerely,
S.M.

Then we need to have more help seeing Tcg low places this at $1680+, I think I can name off 10 cards (give or take 4) that hit that mark, but thanks for the insight (this is a serious question I have folks, so if you don't mind sharing how those figures get created from your heads...that would be great).
Are there any market members who actually have experience in this field?, no pun to the poster above (I still can't see how he got $800).
I sort of get why Swift threw $800 out there - he probably ignored all the stuff he doesnt see as sellable or valuable enough to pay for.
It doesn't matter what TCG says it's worth. People will buy it for singles and don't want to pay for something they don't want. If TCG low says $1680 I could see someone maybe offering $1000. I'm trying to sell my fully altered Kamahl deck and the overwhelming reaction has been "I'd love to own the whole thing but I really only want these 5 cards." So, the only people that will buy your deck are people looking for bulk discounted chaff (which are probably worth a lot of $$$ to people who actually want them) that comes with a few cards they really want. I'd break it up and sell it piece by piece. It's not as efficient, but your $/C ratio will be a lot closer to TCG Low.
Umm as a store I'd have to check all the numbers, but I'm seeing $700, unless I know I can move stuff quickly which on a lot like that isn't likely. At that point though I'd see $1k tops. Now obviously you're not looking to sell to a store on this, but even as a trader I see the numbers for selling on here at $900 and $1200tops on this. Hope this helps some, but if you expect to get anywhere closer to the full number you need to split this up into at least 3 different lots.
I've assembled and foiled out most of 4 EDH decks. $800 is what I would be willing to pay. Is your list worth more? No doubt, but its probably worth a lot more to you than me, especially since most of your stuff isn't particularly useful in my eyes and condition, EX+ means scuffing/clouding on he foil's surface with light chipping on the edges, brings down the price further. As a buyer I'd want to see pics on the larger cards. Whenever I hear EX+ I get cautious
People don't want your premade decks. They want singles (or playsets). If you sell a bunch of singles together as a lot, you're not going to get maximum value. You're going to get buyers who are willing to take them time to sell the individual cards are a profit. 50% of what you think it is worth is a good starting point.
A huge help folks, I'm basically hearing I need to break this monster down...that's something I'm willing to do seeing most of it is absolutely concrete with regards to card stock (most of it hasn't even peaked now that we're entering the foil area).
I knew it was a long shot listing it a grand+ under vendor asking prices (almost $800 under tcg med), but maybe I'll get more of a return just yanking out the $50 bucks worth of chaff and going from there...its hard to hear that no one actually see's the value beyond it being a "deck"...but I can completely understand where most of you are now coming from.
Just to note anyone who has dealt me before already knows my stance on my signature Ex+/Nm condition notes pretty much means they're getting more or less Nm cards, so all that's left is to pretty much go with Galspanic advice in breaking it down (though I did wonder why someone wouldn't just take it all and get that extra $$$ out it with regards to the severe listing price, but its now clear on what I should do).
Most of the time I try to give someone that margin to make a huge profit on my listings, but I guess it just can't happen on this one...this time.
Thanks again for all the advice (and thanks to the dozens of PMS folks),
Sincerely,
S.M.

I'm not saying it's not worth that according to TCG low, but man would it be tough to get.
And brush, and brush my hair
