$20 foil prophet of kruphix wouldn't remotely surprise me. Look at foil deadeye navigator. $20. All due to EDH. Without EDH foil deadeye navigator would be worth all kinds of $2. If I had any foil prophet of kruphix I would sock them away for a few years and wait for them to go up because they are basically a lock to do so assuming EDH continues to thrive. A card that is directly comparable is seedborn muse. Foil 9th ed. copies are $17 on CFB. $17 for a card playable in just EDH and casual and nothing else.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Prophet is just insane-o in EDH. I would hold on to foil copies like winning lottery tickets. I've been snapping up non-foils whenever someone offers one to me at bulk rare value.
I've totally been snap trading for certain foils from the past few sets aka prophet of kruphix, progenitor mimic, etc. Definitely worthwhile at such low prices!
Are you guys expecting this card to be worth more than $20? Seems odd that you say foil copies should be treated like winning the lottery...
Have you played with the card? It is ABSURD in creature based strategies and what UG deck isnt somewhat creature based?
Will they go to 50$? No. But I could see them climbing from 7-9$ up to 20 or so.

I say can for certain that mimic can get out of hand really quick.... been on the wrong side of it when it copied sun titan. Oh boy...

I was saying more in regards to prophet (it being a rare). Mimic (being a mythic) is another story entirely. Not to mention that dragon's maze was a TERRIBLE set to be opening so likely less are in circulation.
I would keep an eye on Stormbreath Dragon especially how well it does at the GP this weekend. It has been climbing slowly recently (now at $18) for being at $16 a while since tumbling down from $35 after release.
Hey so what do you guys think about the prices of mutavault? M14 has not been drafted for a while now, but M15 is going to come out sooner then you think. Right now it seems like it is $37 average on tcgplayer. Seems like it was already higher then that. Went down from $40. It's only $3 but I read up in the thread that it was $45 dollars at one point. Which is way up from it's $15 release. Should we be excepting it's downward decent to it's release prices?

The card definitely has been on the decline of late. I think its price may simply have gotten overheated a bit and as the price got as high as it did, quite a few people decided it was time to dump their copies and the added supply has helped to cause the decline in the price we have seen of late. I would say that dumping them wouldn't be a bad idea. As we get closer to rotation (still a little ways off though) the price will continue to decline (barring a random spike from modern season or something), and after rotation the price should fall back down to the $15-$20 range. If you aren't using them at the moment I would say it should be safe to offload them and then be able to pick them up later for cheaper.
Mutavault also sees close to 0 play in modern (only in Merfolk). After rotating from std it will be 8-10$.
Morningtide Mutavault was about $30 during the year leading up to its re-release in M14. I understand there is considerably more supply now, but $8-$10 might be low.

"Because we cannot prevent draws in paper Magic we allow IDs. If we could prevent draws we would not have IDs in paper Magic. " Scott Larabee.
Core sets are already a short run, but this one was pretty janky, so I wouldn't be surprised if Mutivault hit 20=25 again 6 months after rotation.
I'll certainly pick up a set once it comes down to about $15-20. Which is very likely. If Stormbreath, Thundermaw, Baneslayer, and Archangel of Thune can maintain $15 min price in modern then I think Mutavault is going to do the same though its more restrictive due to it being a tribal land for all purposes but its still a 2\2 beater that comes into play untapped.
I still think 15-20 would be high. Your comparing it to Mythics that are collectible (Angels and Dragons) that only saw one printing. You could get foil Thundermaws for about 15 after rotation. I wouldn't be surprised to see it 15 in the future if it is not reprinted again, but around rotation 8-10 is probably what the price will go to.

Yeah most likely. its not high on my list of things to get but it is a man-land and I love those. Certainly won't get back to crazy price Colonnade is currently going for.
Archangel of Thune. I'm really wanting to pick up a copy or two of this angel for casual kitchen table goodness, but the current price tag is a bit harsh on the wallet. Is this going to go down when Standard rotates or stay extremely high? I don't play or follow the tourney scene so please forgive my ignorance. Thanks in advance!
My money is a drop to $5ish for the archangel. Loot to the Avacyn angels and Baneslayer. That said if it does not return(which I expect), it wont last long at that price. By next year peopel will remember angels are collectable, and it does get fringe modern play in some pod combos.
There is a chace it may only drop to the $10-$12 range like Elish Norn and The Obliterator did after their rotation but it certainly will come down some.

It is possible for it to drop a bit when standard rotates as it is currently used in Modern as a Pod target. They usually only run 1, but there will still be some demand.

Channel Fireball's buy price for Archangel has been $25.00 for the last couple days. I guess someone still thinks it has room to grow.
R/G monsters is very popular right now. People forgot how good Domri was, but he's modern playable as well in Naya zoo.
