Chandra's up to $19 mid this afternoon, a jump of about $5 overnight, thanks to its performance in two top 8 modern decks at GP Detroit. Plus, my personal opinion is that Big Red will be a thing post-rotation, so I expect her stock to rise even further. She's a lot better planeswalker than people thought!

Why was there a delayed reaction of a day? Stores usually aren't that slow to react to tournament results.

Good question! She went from $13 to $14 on Monday, then a big jump Tuesday. Maybe the lack of video coverage or the concentration on Deathrite Shaman slowed things down.

I think what happened was that the drive to purchase copies for the new Modern Jund variant coincided with a drive to pick up copies for rotation - neither was enough to really push Chandra up more then $1 a day, but that happened for a few days, until people realized today that most of the sub $15 copies were gone.
I know a lot of people were going for them this weekend even before the GP, for RDW and Big Red decks because they look decent post-rotation. The appearance and near victory in the Modern Jund list was sort of like an accelerator of its spike / to its current value.
I know it recently spiked to 7$ and that it's seeing alot of play right now but is it gonna be as good with Theros in standard? Should I sell/trade my playset or wait ..? I dont know/play standard much and I dont really care about the card itself but could use the card as trade fodder to get cards I need.

I would lock in profits now by selling/trading, since you're not using them. The card is junk outside of the current Standard meta and deserves nowhere near the $7.50 price tag it has now. Move that money into shocklands, Deathrite Shaman, Snapcaster Mage, etc.
The demon might see play filling the void left by olivia voldaren leaving. The only 4 cmc black cards that interest me are erebos and whip, neither of which fill the olivia void of being a creature that can just take over the game if left unchecked. Some of the reasons that kept it from seeing a lot of play early on, such as lingering souls, won't be relevant in a week's time. Honestly though, I would have sold Demons once they hit $5, anymore than that is icing on the cake, so I wouldn't be unhappy offloading at $7 each.
I hated the Demon when he was first printed, it looked to me like a card that you spent 4 mana on just to be embarrassed by Lingering Souls and Huntmaster, but the upcoming format looks like it will have a lot more 1-for-1s and it might just be the under costed threat that it has been for the past month or so. I'm expecting it to see a fair amount of play. I'm still not going to obtain or play it myself, I hate the card personally, but holding it doesn't seem like a terrible idea, at least for a few weeks to see how things pan out.

I'm always looking for foil Madcap Skills and Ghitu Fire-Eater, [trade thread link forthcoming]
If a deck likes to go turn 1 shock your dude, turn two mortars/lighting strike/magma jet/dreadbore/ doom blade, turn three anger of the gods, turn 4 Desecration Demon, the guy is headed higher.
On the other hand that same deck could pack Chandra or Rakdos in the 4 slot, and/or the new dragon in the 5 slot.
Demon probably has already made his move unless there are multiple decks running him. The next question when we see these standard climbers is what will be paired with them that hasn't jumped?
Demon will probably get abrupt decay, and maybe deathrite if it is golgari, while dreadbore, sire of insnaity, and anger of the gods are likely for rakdos. Hero's demise is a safe bet for wither deck.
Chandra could go aggro with Pyromancer and Firedriker Saty, probably holding down the price of battledriver, or more in control with Ral Zarek and Steam Augury.
Jace will be in the Azorious deck we have already seem with Sphinx's Revelation and detention sphere.
Domri.... Maybe Kalonian Hydra, I am not sure what gruul/jund creatures are fostering excitement that are going to get any value.
I could see a jund deck similar to what was described above with the demon - with massive wipes in the form of Mortars, Anger of the Gods and Gaze of Granite if the meta's CC's are low enough -
Elspeth 3.0 just hit a around $28 on tcg player low. WTH?
What do you all think of her projected future? I am interested at about $12 cause most decks run only 2.
I have decided to stay away from the Theros gods until the fall in price. For some reason, I am beginning to like Heliod more cause of creature production, but that's really it.

I'm surprised too. I think she's a decent 2-of for control decks, but I don't see her doing much else. Seems way to slow for modern. I could see her settling at $12-$15 in a month. But, I think she still has room to climb between now and then (maybe $33 ish).

Scg just raised Jace to $20 and Obzedat to $15 and they are still sold out.
Props on the Jace call, macrie.
Also figured it was a great spec BUT did not see the Scrying and other useful tools incoming. Like every blue deck I'm seeing could use a Jace, Architect of Thought. $30+ is a real possibility, imo.
I'm still liking Desecration Demon. Thassa which is still being under-rated, imo, works very well with a 6+/6+ unblockable 4cc creature though I am still liking Nightveil Specter more both from a power and speculative play. Looks like ~$4 playsets of Nightveil Specter are no more on eBay.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
I just don't see nightveil being a good maindeck card. It's so bad against aggressive decks. I think devotion enablers (outside of reckoner, who chooses to be amazing because it's amazing) are being overrated currently.
Ummmm nightveil specter was tech in the esper control mirror in block because of how good specter was in the mirror...if people weren't playing nightveil for aggro or control there what were they playing him for?
Jace hitting 30 wouldn't surprise me with how key jace seems post rotation as a 3-4 of in decklists. Might supplant revelation as the biggest money mythic from RTR since steam augury seems to be cutting into revelations numbers in post rotation decklists as well.
