Tom Ross is a great bloke. Can't help but feel he could have done better at the invitational if infect was better in legacy but it's his own choice to stick to that deck while the Delver decks are doing better. I hate to say it but his deck got a bigger boost from Treasure Cruise than the Delver decks did which is why he came in 2nd at GPNJ.
Personally I don't like the split format but I'll watch it. Miracles makes me want to stab my own eyeballs out though.
I got into work this morning, fired up my computer, and the mouse was frozen. I checked to see if the laser was still working, and found a post-it note reading "HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!".

Sometimes keeping it simple is the best way to do it. I like more or less harmless pranks like this, just classic. No one got me with anything good this year, it was just a regular work day. It was kind of a shame, I would have enjoyed a good laugh.

Started off normal. Then my phone died. Went to the Apple Store - turns out it wasn't dead and just needed a hard reset (never heard of this happening, figured it was completely bricked). Since it wasn't going to cost $500 for a new phone, I went to the card shop to play in GPT Vegas. That went rather well:
Step 1: Open Packs
Step 2: Receive Narset Transcendent & Dragonlord Silumgar (along with some other decent goodies)
Step 3: Decide that since I am not going to Vegas and I'm not giving up $45 in cards, I'm going to walk from the tournament.
Step 4: Go to PucaTrade and try frantically to be that person who gets to unload the Narset instead of one of X other people also trying to do the same.

I had to pick up one of these Liliana's today, because I instantly fell in love with the art and the way the foiling looks. I had seen it before, but never really realized how much I liked it before today. Best Liliana card art imo, though I am a fan of Terese Nielson's version for the Duel Deck.

It's definitely got great art. I like the Duel Deck one as well, I have the garruk and lily of that one both signed by Nielson in my Nielson collection.
Skies, I had a similar Narset situation. I opened one at the prerelease. Normally I list stuff like that on Puca and get bites on it while I'm at the bar across the street between rounds, but I didn't see an single person looking for Narset all day. It's almost like people are getting smarter about prerelease planeswalker hype, which would be unfortunate for me in my efforts to continue subsidizing my hobby on the impatience of others. After waiting a day with no interest and not wanting to hold it until the hype died down, I noticed CFB was buying them for 32.50 in store credit and went that route instead. Ended up with enough store credit for my last LED, which I'd probably have been waiting months for on Pucatrade, so I'm happy to take the $5 loss.
I'm also having similar "first world problems" on pucatrade. I'm hovering around $100 in credit and I'm out of ideas for what to pick up. Pimping doesn't interest me. I've just finished building Dredge, which is my 7th Legacy deck, and I pretty much have every legacy staple outside a few $100+ cards that are only used in one deck (Cradle, Tabernacle, Port, Grim Tutor). Somehow having every card on my wishlist doesn't alleviate the card acquisition addiction at all, or prevent me from "selling high" on my standard crap even when there's nothing I want to use the credit for.
Get a Chaos Orb. I sat for 6 weeks with $100 waiting and waiting and finally just got all my Type 4 stuff instead. That's really the last card I want now since I own everything else that'll get used in my EDH and EDH Cube stuff. It's nice though... not feeling like I am missing pieces to my game.
So, you know that job I just acquired? I've lost it. The doctor I was put to work with was fired and now I haven't a doctor. It's not official that I've lost my job, but I don't know what they're going to do now. LOL

Dude. That sucks. But was this that was causing you to gripe about people spitting infected water into your face? Or was this a subsequent?

Subsequent. The doctor was a big oaf with a child attitude and no one wanted to work with him. He would flail his arms with needles or scalpels in his hands, drop all kinds of expensive equipment, ***** in front of patients about things, just really all kinds of bad.
Also, LOL at Quacker liking my comment about possibly losing my job. Real upscale, Sport!

Hrm, seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen.
I hope that they pick up another doctor and let you train him, rather than dropping the patient load and the support.

Sucks to lose your job but being "upscale" started with you champ. I think you should follow KnickM's advice and start up a school for doctors. I think you're wholly qualified.
Does anyone know exactly what happened with Patrick Chapin? For those of us at work who can't follow video coverage - what's going on?
Chapin looks at the top four cards from Ajani, chooses a card, and puts it on his hand which is sitting on the table. He puts the other three cards on the bottom of his library. The table judge gets involved and rules it as a games rule violation for failing to reveal the card to his opponent. It is upgraded to a game loss because his opponent could not verify that the ability was resolved correctly.
Chapin appealed. The head judge upheld the upgrade. His reasoning is that a card is drawn as soon the card touches the other cards in the hand (which is consistent with every event I have ever seen).
The reason they don't look at the camera is that they cannot treat the feature match as any different than any other match.
Chapin's argument basically boils down to the fact that because the order of the cards in his hand didn't change, it should not have been unverifiable as the card had not been moved from its position on the table.
