Yup. I send out an Extraplanar Lens and get a couple playsets of Elf commons. It's not like any of the crap I post there is useful at all to me or worth trying to find buyers for. It's just the junk that sits. I think that people typically want good cards so the action is a little spread out, but whatever... I am too tired to keep up with this ***** most of the time.
I've started trading through Reddit or Deckbox. Ever since the switch-over trading has drastically changed for me. I've also started playing legacy so that may affect my decisions and wants.

Most of my wants are Pauper and my haves are EDH junk. So nobody here wants to touch that.
There is a trading thread every Monday on the top of the MagicTCG Reddit. There's not as many traders as here on MTGS but you have to repost your list every week so you know the ones posting are actually looking to trade.
I probably bought $10k worth of cards here at MTGS over the years.
I'm not sure why, but I can't be bothered to buy/sell here anymore. It seems impossible to find what I want, and activity is somewhat lower than I remember.
Reddit definitely has become my go to for trading, and now I just buy/list stuff on ebay for sale and eat the additional commission.
I think the iTrader system provides a good amount of value as well, I'd trust that (or motl ratings, etc.) more over an anonymous guy on reddit or whatnot.
Awesome. I sniped a foil Eidolon of the a Great Revel for $8.
Seems to be rising, it was in Ross' Sligh deck, correct? Looks like a fun deck, I haven't paid attention to whether it has seen any play in Burn decks across formats yet.

A couple of Legacy Burn decks have run it to Top 16 finishes, there's a RB deck in Standard that runs it and it gets decent finishes in dailies, last I saw, and it is probably the next best card in my Mono R deck right next to GG and Lightning Bolt. People are really underestimating this card. And yeah, it was Boss Sligh's deck from the Invitational that brought people's attention to it.

I haven't traded on this site since the revamp either. I had only 10 references, but those 10 trades were probably close to $2500 in value.
I just completed my first MTGS trade in a month. I was averaging double digit trades every month on here prior to the switch. In contrast, I've made 85 trades on Pucatrade, sending and receiving about $500 of cards in that time including finishing off my Unhinged set and my UWR Miracles deck.
MTGS trading is dead. Look no further than the fact that there hasn't been a BTR in 2 weeks for evidence.
Hrm, not sure I'd ever go to PuccaTrade, just not comfortable with that model. MTGS trading has been ok for me, about the same number of trades now vs before, although admittedly I no longer consider myself a very active trader. Some things just take time I guess.
Random q: Sligh or Jund monsters? I'm going to be playing in my first ever standard GP, woot. With about zero experience in standard, this is promising to be a quick blow-out followed by continuous participation in non-rotating-format side-events...
How quickly do you want your matches to end so you can go get a drink and play some side events?
I bring sligh/burn/rdw-style decks to events when going with friends who enjoy imbibing at the bar across the street between rounds. Otherwise I'll play a more durdly midrange or control deck.
Ahh screw it, gonna try out mono-U. B/c of course what could be better than playing an unknown deck in an unknown format? If anybody's going to GP-Chicago, I'll see ya there!
@Yomako: Yeah, I find there's a number of newer traders that seem to have started AFTER the site upgrade, interesting. Guess their experiences aren't colored by what we had before!

Nice choice w/ Mono U. It's a fun deck but it's skill intensive. If you haven't already, spending a few minutes learning the subtler tricks is always good. Rapid Hybridization can target your own Thassa, for example. Jund would be far easier to play but not quite as fun, IMHO. Good luck @ the GP
Goal is of course to turn off their fetchlands and Strip Mine their lands away with Ghost Quarter, while beating them down with small creatures. Despite all appearances, Thalia is quite a strong card, and I may bump Athreos up to 2 copies because it is overperforming.

Not having to send firs mitigates some risk, but anytime you send your cards out in the mail, you risk loss/theft/lies etc.

Rancored Elf will cancel your order if prices go up. Read about him and other shady vendors here.

The goal is to make as many players ragequit as possible. If they aren't seething and hating life (and me), the deck isn't doing its job.
