So...on a slightly diff topic, all you scotch or spirits drinkers out there, is there an good online shop with competitive prices, coupons etc. that you shop at? Relatively to say, Costco or Binny's?
Sounds like you need to lay off the MTG buying man.
Speaking of which, I got some solid deals on the 3 duals I bought, but then taxes killed me and I broke even. I need to leave CA.
I'm thinking about abandoning all the U duals I have, and just sticking with non-U decks... They are getting way too much for myself to justify buying now. Should I trade my U duals for non-U? All I need now is 2 Bayous, 4 Plateaus, and 3 Savannahs.
Heck, I have been considering packing up all of my duals and Legacy decks in binders and calling it a collection as prices continue to rise. I don't get to play Legacy but once in a blue moon anyway. I guess it comes down to what archetypes you like to play and the type of player you consider yourself to be. If you get out of the blue duals only to find out that you would want to play those decks, it will be very hard to get back into them without spending alot more obviously. But for me, I am always an advocate of turning something I don't need into stuff that I do whether it is through trading down, or moving a big money card, etc.
On a side note, another Commander night last night. I think I had done exceptionally well the first two weeks. Got double teamed a bit playing Mayael. Went from an average of two wins (or games called due to time that I would have won) a night, to none last night...lol. Of course I abandoned playing Nekusar and built a janky Sygg, River Cutthroat deck that I played twice to little success. Board wipes are tough for it to recover from and we are seeing alot more of them...lol.
Anyone have suggestions for good budget Commanders? I traded for a Grimgrin and I may experiment with that some.

Depends on what you mean by budget. My Vish Kal didn't have any cards above $20, besides the dual, and it pwnt face because of all the combos available in that color. I sure do miss that deck.
I don't like being constricted when it comes to deck building, but blue seems to be the most limiting because I don't like spending massive amounts of money on cards. I guess if it were to come down to it, I like all things black. Leaving out blue, that leaves Jund, Nic Fit, Dead Guy Ale/BW Stoneblade, and The Rock as competitive decks I can build. I play about the same amount as you do. I have such a hard time trading away duals though. I think I should just flip a coin and see which side I really want to be up.
Why can't I find the value of Zen basics on magiccards.info and tcgplayer? I haven't a clue what they're worth!
For a quick and easy method, you can look up a card from zendikar, just any regular card, then click on the zendikar set link at the top of the page, and then from there, choose commons on the left of the page, and then choose sort by price (and not price + shipping), and then scroll down a bit and you will see them, and just choose foils from the list of stuff on the left of the page to see the foil versions :).
If you mean on magiccards.info, not all is there for the full arts. Looks like just for islands and swamps. If for the cards here on this site, same thing. :/ I guess most places don't list them.
20% off all singles at A-1(LGS)! I'm going to see if I can snipe solid deals.
I passed by on the way back from Reno. Got a foil Revoker at like $15. They had a force of will at $80, pre-20%, which is good.
They had a Volcanic Island priced at $200 in the same row for the whole week. I went there specifically to snipe it, but I have a feeling they put it into the back so this wouldn't happen. I think this because the guy helping me looked at the guy in control of the singles and they both smiled when I mentioned someone bought it. I was the first one in the shop this morning. Meh, I got solid deals on the duals I bought, and walked out with 3 duals instead of just one.
@Galspanic: Yup I just looked at a few, spent a bit of time browsing the whiskey exchange but I'm not buying enough to make shipping and VAT worth it. Ended up finding a couple of free shipping deals on the ones I wanted at a domestic store, woot! Time to find out if these live up to the hype.
@krimsonviper: Shh...working on getting some more sets. Don't jinx me! hehe
LoL needed more alcohol to convince yourself? I've had those nights. "No. I don't need those 12 inch subs! No! The amp you have doesn't need to upgraded just because they're a few years old!"
I'm thinking, should I get into MODO instead? I mean, the lands are SUPER cheap and the Sea, Tundra, and 2 Trops will pay for a deck if I trade into Cape Fear. Does anyone know if the latest Vintage Masters came out?
I thought about MODO but the prices are too high for now. Lemme know if you decide to make the plunge, I'm not considering it until prices are drastically lower...
A lot cheaper than paper magic. FoW and Goyf have been the only 2 cards that were close to $100 that I found. Everyting else seems to be $50 or less. Do I need to look around more?
Still a world cheaper than paper magic. The biggest thing that's stopping me is popularity, but I think that's going away because watching people play on Twitch.TV seem to find plenty of games.
Wasteland, Port, Goyf, FoW are all around 100, but that's not too harsh when you find Sea at 40, Tundra at 60 all fetches under 30. These are prices that paper Legacy was at years ago. Money could be made here too. Maybe. Not sure how that works either.
I saw some of the dealers with Beta Recalls whose condition was reminiscent of having a rectal genesis for just over a thousand, but I decided that I would rather have a really nice looking piece of Unlimited power than a really ugly-looking Beta for a couple hundred more.
But that's just me, I am aware that others' opinions will vary.

Card conditions from shops still never cease to amaze..
I bought a "damaged" foil crop rotation for $9 from channelfireball, I asked for scans and it looked fine. It's simply just scratched up, no bends or tears. I've bought NM foil crop rotations off TCG that have come worse than it.
I also bought a foil "SP" barbarian ring from them, and it came in worse condition than the crop rotation! Haha.
Predictably, I promptly 0-2 dropped because I can't beat a Natural Order -> Progenitus, as it turns out.
And apparently, Grafdigger's Cage sees lots of Legacy sideboard play now?
But it's not all bad news - I managed to flip a bunch of Tectonic Edges and Gitaxian Probes I had over to CFB toward a very nice Italian Chains of Mephistopheles
Well, I said I traded those toward the Chains; I didn't say that was all that was involved in the deal. There were some overpriced Standard cards (Elspeth, Stormbreath) and some cash involved.

It stills seems like a hefty penny for some of these sets...
