Pile B is way more playable than Pile A. It'll also drop if WOTC decides to put Bob in MM3. If you're building Jund, feel free to take Bob and don't look back - the fact that you have a good card in your deck is great. What's the dollar value of drawing an extra card every turn? If you're looking at strictly long-term value, take the Expedition, but be willing to sit on it for a couple years.
Do you think the battle lands will hold or exceed their current value though post rotation? I don't see any decks in modern really wanting them, and the only reason I would see to hold the battle expos would be to complete the set more than anything else.
I think that there is a place in Modern for one or two Battle Lands to supplement Shocks, and two-color EDH decks will be glad to use them. However, Expeditions are pretty much strictly collector items. It doesn't matter if they don't do anything and fade into obscurity, the pimp promo printing (say that five times fast) will always be desirable.

Foil Dragonlord Atarka, or $20 in trade credit at my LGS.
Basically, I am wondering if foil cards with EDH potential are a hold or sell in general. I have no immediate need for cards or cash, and am willing to stick it in my binder for years.

Yes, foil cards with EDH potential are a hold, in general.
Plus, as Amurphcs mentioned, it's a dragon. Everyone loves foil dragons.

Id take the expo. Snaps have been floating around the same mark for a while now. And as stated before expos will go up. RTR block non foil shocks are kinda "eh, just to add value" due to the prevalence of them. You can also find snaps for around 50-55
Yeah, I'd take the Expedition, but I wouldn't be too thrilled about it. Snapcaster will probably be a mythic in either this year's core set or next year's core set, which will keep his price pretty stable. Temple Garden isn't a great land, but it's still an Expedition, and who knows, maybe Pod will be back someday.

I dont need the Jace right now but I'm also not using my Cryptics. What I'm unsure about is if Jace will drop further and if Cryptics might become good again post bans in April.
"Jack" is a high likelihood for an Eternal Masters reprint (albeit at mythic). FTV foils are typically pegged to the lowest nonfoil, so it's not as though this is a special printing. A mythic reprint can hurt cards that aren't being played a ton - look what happened to Bob and Clique. Jace isn't seeing 'Goyf levels of play, so he'd probably drop with a reprint. I pick Pile B for this one (again with the Cryptics).

Pick whichever side gives you the cards that you want to use. I'd take Pile A, because I think that promo foils planeswalkers are good to have, plus a reprint will crash Rhys. But I'd say that there's no imminent threat of a reprint, so don't feel the need to get off Rhys soon.

This one comes down to preference i think. Pile a has the most room to grow though. Pile b should stay fairly consistent.
I disagree. I think it's definitely Pile A. Liliana is due for a reprint - not in SOI or EMN, but either this year in EMA or (more likely) next year in MM3. She'll be cheaper (at least temporarily) once she sees a reprint. Foil Deltas (even if they're the fourth best version) and a Modern-playable Expedition seem like good bets to increase and never go down.

Agree. Foil modern/eternal playable lands are definitely going up, Liliana is almost certainly going to be reprinted in the next couple years sometime. Unless you need the Lilis to play something in particular, A is the right call.

[Pr]Jaya | Estrid | A rotating cast of decks built out of my box.
I meant preference as to the immediacy of what you needed and what you intended to do with them, i.e if you needed lili for a deck you wanted to play soon, and weren't as concerned with what the price may be 3-5 years down the road for expos and deltas. If collecting, or looking to flip at some point in time, then definitely pile A.
Tough call. Archangel of Thune is looking for a deck since Pod got banned. She may have found it in "Project Melira", which (roughly) swaps out Birthing Pod for Collected Company. Sylvan Library is an EDH staple. The 4E version is probably the "worst" (equivalent with the 5E version) - certainly not the Legends or Arsenal printings.
A reprint at rare will see either card tank, and with Eternal Masters on the horizon, I wouldn't bet on either. Take the one that you need for your deck. I'd probably go with the Library, but that's a gut call.

I would hold, as dragons are always collectible

Breeding Pool Expedition
Pile B
Horizon Canopy Future Sight
Pile A has more upside. Long term expeditions will keep going up. Canopy will eventually be reprinted which limits how high it can go.
BUG Reanimator
BWG Nic-Fit
BGR Punishing Nic-Fit
Pile A: Pimp card that will never be reprinted in that form.
Pile B: Expensive card that will crash so hard with a reprint.
Easy pick of the Expedition, for me.
Pile A
Snapcaster Mage
Breeding Pool
Pile B
Temple Garden Expedition
thoughts?

Horizon Canopy Expedition
Cryptic Command MM2
B:
Wooded Foothills Expedition
I'd probably go for Pile A, since the Expeditions are roughly the same price. I think that the Command is worth more than the $15 difference.

Prerelease promo Kiora, Master of the Depths
Dragonlord Atarka

Rhys the Redeemed

Pile A
2x Polluted delta KTK foil
1x Watery Grave Exp
Pile B
Liliana of the veil x2
Restoration Ang

Archangel of Thune
Pile B:
4th Sylvan Library
Will the archangel keep its current value?
Tough call.

1x SP ITA Nether Void
1x NM Liliana of the Veil

Pile B:
