Pile B:
Chinese (Traditional) Foil Nykthos, Shrine of Nyx
They're the only place I've found a traditional version and they're buy listing the Shocklands at 8 ea. The Nykthos is selling for $44.
I know it's a loss on my side just by selling to a dealer, but I didn't realize that the Chinese versions would be this much with the English foil being about $18 (Simplified is selling at $33). Any thoughts (especially those from South-East Asia)?

snap shocks, the nykthos can be worth that, but its not a highly desirable language and will be hard to trade and/or sell
B
1 Thoughtseize (Theros)
2 Liliana Vess (1 foil, both M15)
Snap Pile B, chord may get as high as 15 if it sees heavy play but the cc is a bit prohibative. Once it rotates next year it'll plummet.
Liliana was a 10ish dollar card before the reprint and will not drop below 5ish but thoughtseize will only go up in value (especially since it is no longer being opened in the masses)

At this point in time Pile B. Never speculate when you trade in my opinion unless it's with really old reserved list cards which carry a certain premium in non-cash deals. The Chords right now are worth rock bottom.
How much value should be added to Pile A to make this a fair deal. I'm looking at getting Pile B, but I don't want to let a dual go too easily. My thinking was around $15 but I don't have much experience with trading old reserved list cards so I wanted to get some more opinions.

I'd already take Pile A. It may be worth slightly less on paper, but c'mon, man - a dual for reprintable stuff?

Agreed. People trading for duals have to be aware that they're trading non-reserved cards (going down) for what is an investment (going up). There is much more than just current price in play.
(I would prefer the pile that would be able to be sold in the secondary market faster)
snap tundras even if they were sp, trading a guaranteed to be reprinted modern staple for a highly desirable dual land (when both are approximately the same value)
Plains - John Avon - 230
Island - Jung Park - 235
Island - Vincent Proce - 237
Swamp - John Avon - 238
Mountain - John Avon - 242
Forest - John Avon - 246
I would say Brimaz has some potential to go up but Caryatid is going to be hot property with a tricolor set coming up.
That Flooded Grove will probably go down if reprinted but who knows if/when that will happen. Really depends on the condition of the Wheel of Fortune for this one. If NM probably want to keep it.
Pile B (Mine):
1x Thoughtseize
4x Lightning Bolt
1x Flames of the Blood Hand (Premium Deck)
1x Soldier of the Pantheon
1x Thalia, Guardian of Tharben
Seems fine by me. I like trading smaller stuff into a larger item and here is no exception. I think Snapcaster has more room to grow than Thoughtseize does and I don't think Seizes aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
I made 2 trades today and would like some thoughts. I traded for Pile B. Thanks.

Assuming the Tundras are NM, i'd go with that.

Not sure if I should buy the Taiga (if it's a super good deal) or if I can Bank the cash and wait for another opportunity like this.

I'd buy the Taiga, that's a great price. The Iona is around the price it should be.

Yeah, Taiga may not be the most-played, but it's still quite useful. I'd buy that. Heck, I have enough Taigas and I'd still buy that.
Pile A:
3 Courser of Kruphix
2 Scuttling Doom Engine
Pile B:
2 Rhox Faithmenders
Sanguine Bond
Overwhelming Stampede
Dungrove Elder
Sliver Hive
Pernicious Deed (Conspiracy)
Master Biomancer
Prophet of Kruphix
2 Champion of Lambholt
3 Sinew Sliver
Nylea, God of the Hunt
Spearbreaker Behemoth
Eternal Witness
+ a few uncommon throw-ins
3 Sliver Hivelord
Pile B:
2 Voice of Resurgence
Voice has stabilized around $20 and is a modern staple and the most expensive card in the DGM set and always will be.
I wouldn't pay the new card tax here. Wait until people have had time to open M15 packs and prices drop.
i guess i didn't read the formatting rules correctly. i traded the hivelords for the voices =)
It's a convention, not a rule - and typically, Pile A is what you're giving up to get Pile B. You're fine.
Also, the trade seems fine. I like the Voices here.
