Wasteland seems to be a little higher, yet Griselbrand has a bit of room for growth as the best fatty evar, eventually hitting Foil Emrakul prices.
I feel that a second printing with the same art will stall or dip foil Gris. That said, Wasteland is a ridiculously priced non-Reserved staple, so its price isn't guaranteed either. I'd probably go with the Wasteland, as it's less likely to have a wide reprint, but I don't think that either side of this deal really "loses".
Here's one from the prerelease. I sat next to a guy who was complaining about his opens: "Look, I just got these two crappy lands!" He then showed me Mana Confluence and Temple of Malady. I offered to trade something for them, and he offered them to me for a foil Elspeth Tirel. I wasn't really thrilled with the idea, so I asked him if there was anything else he wanted, but there wasn't. He looked up the prices, and found that his side was actually higher - $25 for the lands, $18 for foil Elspeth.
I ended up declining, since I wasn't going to be able to stick around and flip the Confluence, and I don't feel that it'll sustain the prerelease hype price for more than a week or two. Am I a fool? Should I have grabbed the lands and run? Curious to hear opinions.

I like the Elspeth better here. That card is out of print, whereas Pile A is just printed -- easier to find (even if JOU isn't opened much...). Also, hype.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.

Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.

Foil planeswalkers are definitely worth more than it says they are. They're casual all-stars and retain value beyond reprints. I would say I value them almost as highly as reserve list cards, since they're almost as tradable as shocks or fetches.

Never take cards from a set that's been out less than a month at full value.
Ok I didnt know where to ask this, but I figured this would be the best place:
My:
Legacy stuff (wasteland, griselbrand, force of will, fetches, etc etc)
For:
Store credit (Card Kingdom) to change to standard
I ask this because with store credit trade in bonus of 30% it seems like it would be easier to trade for store credit to buy into specs.
I dont ever use the wastelands or forces and its just sitting in my binder not doing anything. Would it be smarter to trade them into EDH and standard cards and make money that way?
With Card Kingdom's prices its almost close to selling at tcg low (including the fees) Its just in the form of store credit instead of cash.
I wouldn't trade legacy staples to spec on standard unless you know something I don't because nothing looks ripe right now for that; plus I wouldn't trade away cards that are going up anyways like Griselbrand, Wasteland, Force of Will because there is money in those. Unless you are trading for non-standard specs or duals.
It's important to be picky on what staples you get rid of. Better to post the entire list of what you are getting rid of and what you are speccing on. Your idea on getting credit isn't bad because buylisting can be pretty good. You are going for low specs to try to compensate for the money you are losing on legacy staples that are going to keep gaining. I've never used Card Kingdom.

Mostly the temples. Trying to get 20 copies of each which is like 4 wastelands more or less. I can spec also on EDH foil which are cheap now. I will have to think about this. Thing is that FoW, wasteland and duals just spiked making me more inclide to trade them off and rebuy them later.
When do you think the temples will go up? Selling revised duals riht now will only make it harder to get them later- they aren't going down. The days of cards going up and down is probably close to over..
Pile B:
Foil Temple of Enlightenment
2 Wolfbitten Captive
Pacts aren't likely to be printed any time soon and have room for growth. Foil Temple of Enlightenment is at its high, as it's highly played in standard. But I can't see the pact jumping super high, so if you need a foil Temple to finish foiling your standard deck, sure. Otherwise, I'd take the Pacts and the Reaper (which also has room for growth).

If by going by past data, they usually peak around december. The best time to buy thero block lands would be now since they are basically at a bottom. Latest is right before they spoil the next set. I made a killing doing this with scars when the previous block rolled out. UW and UB and even the GW lands went from 2 dollars or so to 25 for the UW and UB. Same happened to the check lands from innistrand. Plus you always need "dual" lands in standard even if they are "crappy" compared to the shocks and fetches of before. Ill put it down as they hit a peak of 15 or 20 depending on the meta. Ill date stamp this and get back to in around half a year?
Pile B - 2 Nylea, God of the Hunt
1 Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite
1 Caged Sun
1 FNM Tidehollow Sculler
1 Petrified Field
1 Hammer of Purphoros
It looks like $48 for $48 to me. All cards are NM except maybe the Petrified Field. What do you think?
What about this one guys? It looks more like $44 for $44.

If you plan on playing the foil pierce I'd say take it (which in turn leads to acquiring more of them). If you're like me and tend to stay away from foils I'd say go with pile B. Either way is good, it just depends on which route suits you better. I'd personally take B.
Plus moving high value common foils like pierce can be difficult unless you can find the niche players. But that's just from my personal experience (I sat on a moderately played foil one for awhile until T&T took it off my hands for ~$9 if I remember correctly)
I'm looking to get some EDH cards for the Tabernacle; what do you think?
Comes down to condition. You've got some pretty nice stuff on both sides of the table here. If everything is mint, I'd say go with what you're going to play. If some of the cards are scuffed, etc, I'd take the pile in better condition.
Not knowing what you need, pile A seems more useful unless you're building one particular Legacy deck. You can do a LOT of different things with pile A.

Pile A is infinitely more playable. Tabernacle is played in what, exactly one deck as a one-of? I would have done this even if Volcanic Island was only worth $100. The numbers probably don't really line up dollar-wise, with one week pile A being more, then the next, pile B (even though they're currently even at tcg mid NM values, though there's barely any tabernacles on there for an accurate price), but every single card in pile A is more desirable. The market for Tabernacles is just so small (especially at $700 or whatever they're at), that if you can find someone looking for one, I'd go for it.

Honestly I take B just because the tabernacle is that hard to find. I traded a bunch of good legacy stuff for my tabernacle and never looked back. How many times have you seen a tabernacle in a binder or deck vs the other stuff.
Pile A is "easily" attainable vs the tabernacle. Depends if you really play it in your deck or not. Its in my Koz deck and its a life saver sometimes.

I wouldn't if my goal was overall value appreciation. Trading into standard seems like a losing proposition if your goal is to retain or increase in value. The only way I'd consider it is if I were to take the store value and buy sealed product for long term appreciation.
It seems fine if you're going to use pile B, but in my opinion Hallowed FountainFoil will go up faster than anything in Pile B. You might have to live with the fact that you won't be getting another one ever again.
Did FOIL shocks go up recently? I see the trade as $30 for $55. While I do agree that FOIL Shocks will go up, the same could be said about the cards in Pile B and they are currently worth more.
