I recently got a foil Soul Collector from Scourge online. It seems to be an unstamped prerelease misprint, with the text box watermark but no date. Bit of a pain as I'm trying to collect the regular foil set.
I can't find anything about it online other than the fact that it exists; no auction listings or other valuations. I'm not into misprints myself so I haven't a clue if it's worth anything, does anybody? Its condition is great, no scratches or wear or bending or anything.
Cheers!
As usual, I'd love to see a scan.

Now this does require a subscription cost, but if you go to www.worthpoint.com - they have most listings from the past decade on record. My folks use it for pricing antiques.
Sorry I took so long to reply, I'd actually forgotten where I'd put the new card! Here it is beside my own dated promo. I've no st foil to compare it to but that shouldn't have the watermark. I can't see any flaws on the misprint.
Well, the bad news is that there's someone on eBay selling one just like that for $10 shipped, and it's not flying off the shelf, so that's the upper bound on the price for you.
I'll check mine when I get home - I have no idea if it's got a watermark or not.

I was wondering how much this would be estimated to be worth? Its a near-mint condition miss cut Icatian Javelineers from Fallen Empires.
Hi Rose, welcome to MTGS.
First, a minor nitpick - that doesn't look NM. I can see white on all four corners (although I'll allow that it may be glare on the sleeve).
Second, THANK YOU for including a picture! It's really crucial for evaluating misprints.
I'd say that yours is a good miscut - I can see a hint of the card to the left, making it more than just 100-0. I'd put the price somewhere in the $5-$10 range - it's cool, but it's on an almost unplayable card, so you're only getting coolness factor. And while there is a small bit of another card on it, you've really got to look hard. The ideal is the entire right border of the next card over so that it's glaringly obvious.

Is there a good resource for finding the pricing of specific test print cards? Is the best bet just to find closed ebay sales (of which there isn’t a result for some of the test prints I’m looking for)?

Test print cards go for sale so infrequently that yes, searching for eBay completed listings is your best bet.

See my Jan. 7th, 1019 answer, a couple questions above your own.
I was going through my old cards and found my artist proof Tolarian Academy. I got it at a junior super series tournament in Orlando a long, long time ago.
Anyone know what the value would be for this thing? I tried looking online for proof value ideas and can't find anything within the last 5 years or so.

Hey there Onyxstorm, welcome to MTGS. Artist proof prices are pretty subjective. Academy is an objectively powerful card that is very popular, so I'd put it somewhere in the $25-$50 range. That's just a guess, though - I think that I paid about $20 for my copy, but that was a while ago.

I was reading a old post by scg on misprints etc. http://www.starcitygames.com/articles/25176_Misprints.html In this post they specifically mention color errors, the example they use is a Force of Will (FoW) that has a slightly different color than the normal one. When looking at the this different I noticed that my FoW had the same color as the misprint, although I don't think that this color difference is worthy of such a price tag (as stated by scg), I am interested in what actual misprint collectors etc. think of such cards, is a slightly off colour FoW really that expensive?? Also if I were to describe the color difference the Fow i have is a lighter almost turquoise blue, the dark areas on the FoW are more purple than the orginal dark blue. Check the link for the scg post as well as a picture of the claimed misprint.
I'd be glad to have any information as I myself am pretty naive when it comes to this area of mtg.
i just bought a white sun's zenith only to realise that the foil sticker is almost removed. i dont know if this is a misprint or a tamper, but i wanted to show anyway just incase
I got 3 different FBB Bad Moon, a 4th edition Korean, a Rev German and a Rev Italian. I did some research and the results was unexepected, Ebay was showing that the Italian was higher than the Korean and from my point of view it is not suppose to be that way. But i just think i don`t have enough experience and knowledge to tag them right. Can i have a hand pls?
the true fbb is 3th like revised but black border (italian german and french) rarer that 4th koren japanese spanish
I posted this in the Major Misprint group on Facebook when I opened it a few weeks ago. I figured I'd post it here also.
I opened a Jump Start pack that had ink smears on all of the cards.
Those are pretty freaky looking. It is a rather common printing error though so you won't get much for them. You probably could get a few bucks out of those forests if you know someone who likes to play Infect decks. That Gingerbrute & Thragtusk might find a nice home in someone's cube.
As always, you have find a buyer who cares about this in the first place. That's always the challenge w/misprints. There's like a dozen people out there who go ALL OUT to own all the totally outrageous (and unique) ones that sell for ridiculous sums. And then everyone else just doesn't really care about misprints at all or will just lowball you becuase that's what everyone does.
today 99% THE MISCUT ARE FAKE ==> nfc (no factury cut)
a real miscut have a different back and front
While yes, the majority of miscuts these days are NFC, old-school miscuts can have the front and back aligned. I have a Vesuvan Doppleganger that I opened from a pack in the mid-90s. It's miscut, and the front matches the back. They can be real, even if the majority of them are not.

Depends on how it's misprinted. I HIGHLY suggest that you attach pictures if you want anything more than a hand-wave.

Anson signs cards through the mail, so no huge premium on that.
