After randomly noticing that Sword of Fire and Ice had gone up a few dollars, I decided to check out his friend, Umezawa's Jitte, and lo and behold, Jitte has also jumped around ten dollars in the last month.
I've been saying karakas would reach and eventually surpass mana drain for years. Mana drain is banned in legacy. Karakas is legal in legacy. There isn't much more to be said. EDH demand for drain is quite low sure it's absurdly good there in manaramp.format but most people aren't willing to shell out for it. People will shell out for sanctioned formats like legacy though because they have to in order to play. Not true for EDH.
Yeah saw judge karakas at SCG Milwaukee at 120 and normal at 150 and thought it was kind of odd. Not surprised at the jump. Card is busted and one of the staple legends cards (a friend wasn't running a singleton karakas in his miracles deck the night before the Milwaukee legacy open. I was shocked and told him to add a singleton because of the sheer power of the card and the free wins it gives you.)
IGG was discussed when waste not was 'spoiled'. The problem is that it's a 2 card combo that costs 6 mana that doesn't win the game automatically and your opponent chooses the cards they get back. If waste not makes a splash in legacy it will be due to liliana of the veil being absurd with the card. It's an intriguing card but not something I would speculate around until it puts up results.

I agree with everything you said except this. The card is not busted - quite the opposite. Legacy would be busted withoutKarakas. Karakas doesn't warp the format - it straightens it out and keeps it balanced!
I suppose it would be busted in EDH, hence the banning. But not in Legacy.
Karakas is not something they would ever print today. Wasteland is busted as well and karakas is up there with wasteland in terms of powerlevel. As for it balancing legacy, it does to an extent but it wouldn't be necessary if WotC hadn't printed some stupidly busted legendary creatures like emrakul and griselbrand. When you combine it with clique, venser, or thalia or any legendary creature on your side really it is gnarly. But enough of powerlevel in the legacy huge gainers thread, it's quite derailing.
Not surprised at trop jumping up to 175 tcg mid. That one was quite undervalued in relation to the other blue duals and BUG is still very much a thing despite running just a pair.

They were easily had in the $80-90 a months ago, but as soon as someone in this thread mention how undervalued they were, they pretty much doubled. I am sure the panic button was pressed by players, but it's not like Trops aren't used in decks, It was undervalued bottom line. It's rise doesn't surprise me at all.

I disagree; BUG variants have been tearing it up in the SCG scene lately which IMO drives a lot of the card prices. When painter had some good SCG results all of a sudden all the components jumped in value, same with that Jund depths deck. I'm not saying your point isn't some part of it but it's my strong opinion a lot of the pressure on this card is people moving from esper midrange decks to BUG midrange strategies and a lot of people that play Jund in modern can move into BUG. Having access to DRS/abrupt decay/FoW/lili/TNN/goyf/brainstorm is a strong package right now in legacy. Tundra is probably undervalued too right now, if esper variants get a new toy or the meta shifts a little it could easily spike way up too, as it stands now tundra is sort of in stasis since esper is losing it's metagame share to BUG.
Did Edric get bought out? Its price is at $27 on TCGPlayer now. O.o It was definitely only $5 on Sunday.
Sure he's great in Commander, but I don't feel like the sudden increase is because of Commander -- at least not this sporadically; I think it's because it made its way into the main deck of the winning list at the last SCG Legacy Open -- RUGB Delver as a 1-of. I feel like it's the Teferi effect. This time Edric didn't even see any play on-cam -- as far as I'm aware. :/

We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. He wasn't very widely printed, effects are great, and he also saw some play in a legacy noble fish type deck.
Don't buy into the Edric hype. BURG Delver is nothing new and he's a one-of in this niche deck that will not become a Tier 1 mainstay. Edric was a $5 card and the only thing stopping him from being a $5 card today is that some goof decided to speculate on him.
Also note that SCG is charging $50 for Stifle compared to $36 on TCGplayer mid. I'm not seeing the demand for this card either. Stifle was like $18 when RUG Delver was unambiguously the best deck in the format, and RUG is really the only deck that plays it. With the deck on the decline, Stifle prices should be dropping, and yet they've doubled.
Note that foil Show & Tell is $89 and non-foil Show & Tell is $80 on SCG. The foil seems a little undervalued at the moment.

Stifle pops up in various deck from time to time, and players like the idea of living the dream of stifling wastelands or fetch lands.
Foil Show and Tell is still in the Packet and is this the only good thing in the packet so I'm guessing dealers are getting a lot of them sold to them by judges since that how judges tend to pay for GP travel.
