Hey guys, after months going down in price, fetches seems to have stabilized and bottomed. Is this the window to go and buy them? I mean KTK fetches obviously.
Without a Lens of Clarity, I can't tell you for certain. But I'm certainly picking up any that come my way.

Inkmoth Nexus was just spoiled as a WMCQ promo card.
i already have a playset, and have 2 left over from event decks.
i would like to trade them for some higher value cards i need.
i presume the price will only fall from here, or is there any weird reason, that i should keep them?
thank you

On the subject of trading them for cards you need - I can't imagine anyone needing more than 4 of any card so you could easily trade 2 away, more if you plan on picking up the WMCQ versions.
Nice foil Mana Crypt. That's the only card that I'd even consider as a long-term keep. However, you should not sell any of them ASAP. The market is currently getting hit with hundreds of people doing exactly what you're doing, which means that supply is high. Wait until next summer, when there's less competition.
Mana Crypt foil - SELL IMMEDIATELY! Of all the versions of this card, this one is the least likely to maintian value. The non-foil is cheaper, and there are two more pimp versions (Judge Foil and Masterpiece).
Jace, the Mind Sculptor - SELL. This card has been slowly on the decline and probably will continue to do so unless it gets unbanned in modern. While that is possible, you're probably better selling off now.
Wasteland - HOLD. It just caught a big reprint and is an absolute staple in Legacy and EDH. Pricing is down 40% from when it was announced it would be reprinted. Assuming it doesn't catch another reprint, this looks like a good card to gain value over the long haul.
Entomb - HOLD. Graveyard strategies will always exist and this is a staple for making it happen. Like Wasteland, right after a reprint is a good time to buy, but a horrible time to sell.
Enlightened Tutor - Your Choice. At $7, you're not going to go nuts making or losing money here. It's almost only an EDH card and has limited applications outside of that format. If you need it, play it. If not, you can sell it without too much concern as it likely isn't going to increase or decrease dramatically in the next year or two.
Necropotence - See above, but only $5.50 in value.

a slightly irrelevant question: do i at any moment need more than 3 mind sculptors?
this one i opened would complete my playset, but i'm not sure it's worth keeping if he is played as a 3-of max

Tough to say, but at this point in time, I don't see a need for a full playset. Most of the Legacy Miracles deck (primary place it sees play) usually only runs 2 or 3. However, predicting the metagame a year, 2 or 3 out along with the possible (slight, but possible) unbanning in Modern is beyond my ability.

In consideration of the above, if you are willing and able to hold on to the cards for 6 months, you will likely come out ahead next summer. I was basing my statement on your original request to make your money back (and I believe you wanted to do so quickly)

Hey guys, a guy i know is selling the as a collection the 3 sets that compose the Scars of Mirrodin block. He's asking for US$450, which is super low right now but if the reprint trend continue to go up then it might lose some value. Also, i'm traveling to the US in June '17 and maybe i can find a good buyer there, interested in the sets. I mean, i'd be only an investment as i can't really use all those one-ofs and i wouldn't sell anything separately as i'd never get rid of the commons. What do you think? Buy?
Edit: He also has the complete MM15 set at US$380.

Complete sets aren't good financial investment vehicles. They're great for players - I used to try to collect a set of every card that came out, so that I could always have at least 1x of a card to throw in a deck while brewing.
Reprint sets are coming, and they're coming more frequently. Last year, we got Eternal Masters, Conspiracy II, and Planechase Anthology, without considering what got reprinted in Commander 2016. In 2017, we're at least getting Modern Masters 3 and Commander Anthology. And while the contents of the Anthology are known, Modern Masters (which is out in less than 3 months!) is a complete unknown. Even if you're good at the short-term flip, I would NOT buy into expensive Modern-legal cards while that list is unknown.
Also, I don't know what your plan is for spending your time Stateside (maybe go to a GP? Those are fun), but I doubt that you want to spend your time hawking your sets. And at the GPs I've been to, I haven't seen any interest in non-singles, other than by the floor traders who will give you buylist prices.
So, if you think that you can find a collector who's missing SOM block/MM1, or if you're a player who's missing a lot of cards from SOM block/MM1, go ahead and buy them. That's not a horrible price, and you'll get a ton of use out of them. But as an investment? Pass.

- Wasteland nonfoil EMA x4 I'd say that this is a hold at least for the short term. Wasteland is a multi-format staple, but it's just been hit with three reprints last year (even if two were very limited release). It'll be climbing back up.
- Sylvan Library nonfoil EMA Move it next summer. EMA cards got hit with unexpected additional supply, which shook them up a bit
- City of Traitors Keep. Powerful Reserve List card, just keeps getting better and better.
- RTR/GTC foil shocks Keep. The third best versions, but still they'll be in high demand for as long as Modern and EDH are a thing.
- RTR/GTC non-foil shocks These have pretty much plateaued (pardon the pun). Sell them at your leisure if you're not using them.
- Monastery Swiftspear foil KTK x4 I'd keep her. She's THE premiere red 1-drop, and OG foils are going to keep their prices.
- Grim Flayer foil EMN x3 I'd move him before he leaves Standard. You have some time. Possible rebuy after rotation, since he seems pretty interesting in Modern, but I think that he's Standard-inflated.
- Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet foil promo x2 Keep. He looks like an EDH all-star, and is poised to be a Modern powerhouse. We're still not sure how the promo/pack foil debate will end up shaking out, but it's a foil and it'll do well long-term.
- Tasigur foil promo I don't like him as much as I used to. Feel free to sell.

I have a set of foil NM MM15 Eldrazi Temples that I haven't touched. Think they're worth a hold for now or turn them around on Pucatrade? They're at about $12 median right now, with a slow trend upwards.
Modern Bant Eldrazi is putting up enough results that I imagine it will hold its value, and not good enough that I find it likely to eat a ban in the near future unless things shift dramatically. Does that seem sound?

I would say feel free to move them if you want. It's not the most pimp version of the land, so it won't be the go-to for people who want to make their deck "Best", so I can't see it doing more than slowly increasing, although if WOTC does something stupid again then the deck (and the price of the card) might take off.
YMMV.

Always happy to help.
As for the C16 decks, that's an interesting question. With Atraxa's increasing rise in popularity, Breed Lethality is currently $60 shipped on eBay. The rest don't seem to be doing nearly so well; I don't think that I'd pay more than $25 for any of them. So I'd look to pay $150 for the set (which is a slight discount from MSRP on all of them, and should be a deal that stores will offer, also eBay has a set for $145 shipped). That assumes that you want the full set to play with, or to have one of each for your collection. If you're looking to invest, Breed Lethality looks like an interesting proposition in that it'll definitely go up because Atraxa, but it's currently in unlimited printing AND well above MSRP. I'd personally hold off, because it'll eventually get reprinted in Commander Anthology 2021.
So, those are my price points. $25 for any deck except Breed Lethality, $50 for Breed Lethality (because it's easily available at $60), and $150 for the set of 5 if I were going to buy another set. As much as I'd like more of a discount on the set, most places I don't think will do you better than $145 just because Breed Lethality is so expensive.

I've got a foil Keranos, God of Storms which I'm not particularly using and would like to turn into something a bit nicer before he inevitably gets reprinted.
I see quite a few on eBay for around £60 but they don't seem to move. My LGS, though, can offer me £35 in cash or £40 in store credit (I'd be more likely to go for store credit if I'm honest).
Similarly, I've got three Verdant Catacombs I'm not using - on eBay they often go for around £40 but then you have to factor in fees. My LGS can give me £25 a piece in cash or £30 each in store credit.
What do you guys think I should do with each of these?
The foil Keranos should be fine from now to forever. Original printing foils generally hold value well. The Verdant Catacombs will lose significant value on reprint. when that will happen? That's the million dollar question.
If you're looking solely at future value, you're best off selling the verdant catacombs and holding the foil Keranos.
Selling a Masterpiece Scroll Rack, is $40 a good price point? I know they usually fall in price before rising, but this isn't that desirable. I don't have a need for it, but also really don't need the cash either.

That's really helped - thanks! With the catacombs, does £40 a piece seem about right for selling them privately?
If you were in the US, I could offer pricing suggestions. However, there are enough pricing variances between the US and EU markets that I am not qualified to offer any reasonable assistance on pricing. Best I can offer is to look at MKM and base your decisions off what the EU market is currently selling for.
Keep or Sell Invention Vedalken Shackles? TCG mid is $46.
I don't play modern and would be looking to trade it for a legacy card or two that I need.
That's either an immediate flip or a long-term hold. Aether Revolt Inventions are at their lowest supply now, so the prices are high. Ish. Once more of the set is opened, we'll see a lot more on the market and the prices on most of them will start to decline. Then once AER has been out of print for a while, they'll start sluggishly going up again.

The WMCQ promos won't add a ton of supply to the market. Certainly not enough to make prices fall like a rock. These aren't the same as the Stoneforge Mystic or Griselbrand promos. Look at the previous WMCQ promos - Vengevine, Abrupt Decay, Geist of Saint Traft, and Thalia, Guardian of Thraben. The promos didn't destroy the value of any of those cards.
On the subject of trading them for cards you need - I can't imagine anyone needing more than 4 of any card so you could easily trade 2 away, more if you plan on picking up the WMCQ versions.
