Typically with standard playables I always suggest bailing on them. The exception to that fact are multi color lands. Adding to that is the fact that the pain lands are actually tri-lands in certain decks (read: Eldrazi). If Wizards makes another colorless matters theme, say on Kaladesh, I could see these gaining in popularity.
I actually have been on the other end, trying to complete my playset of the enemy painlands. I think they'll be worth having in the long term. Whether the long term is 1 year or 4-5 years, I don't know.
/edit I do think that Kaladesh could have some sort of colorless theme and it would be an incredible time to reprint the allied pain lands.
Tasigur and fetchlands too, but I wasn't opening for value or anything more than just the sheer fun of opening packs. I had it and wanted confirmation that 30mins of fun opening packs is or isn't worth the value loss of reselling the box.
...
I don't know what the odds of a fetch are, but I think we figured it at about one per box, and there's zero chance of a foil fetch.
...
Again, those are prices for Korean cards. I think that it's fair to say that if you don't get an Ugin or a Mentor, you're not getting to $75 from that box, even if you get a blue fetch. Your call on how much the pack-cracking fun is worth.
Wait... you can pull fetches from FRF packs?
Was that like a one-time deal in the land slot like DGM?
Even if that's the case... yeah, odds are not high. I'd hold the box sealed and flog it when I could. And then put the money towards an EMA box.

There were some god boxes of FRF that had a fetch in every pack. But yeah if you open an FRF box you'd get 1-2 fetches whereas you'd get slightly more in a box of KTK.
So here's my situation, I'm primarily a Modern and Legacy player. My Modern collection is such that I have most staples alongside a complete fetch/shock/etc manabase so most I can build most decks either out of my collection or with only a small expenditure. My Legacy collection is much less impressive but I do have two decks fully built (Burn, Nic Fit). I expand my collection these days primarily along three lines:
1. Getting cards to eventually make a good Legacy cube.
2. Filling in my missing Modern decks.
3. Expanding the options I can play in Nic Fit (for those unaware, the deck plays basically any G/B/x color combination).
My typical Magic budget for cards is about $1500/year spread over two large purchasing times and then a few cards here and there throughout the year. Anyways one of those big purchasing times is up for me right now and I'm trying to evaluate what would be the better buy. I'm not too worried about buying cards and then having them lose value, but I do prefer to avoid not buying cards only to see them rise in the future.
So here's the buys I'm evaluating, the timing of this is a bit awkward with EMA and I could wait to make a purchase instead but I'm still not sure which I would prefer to have:
1. 4x Liliana of the Veil, assorted missing Jund pieces (1x Kalitas, 1x Twilight Mire, 4x Raging Ravine). This would finish Jund which is the last deck in Modern I really care about finishing and I could reuse the Liliana's in Nic Fit from time to time, it also turns on Junk in Modern too.
2. 1x Underground Sea, 1x Tropical Island, 4x Stoneforge Mystic. This gives me the Stoneforge option in Nic Fit and the lands contribute towards cube, knocking out a big chunk of what's remaining (with this I would have 8/10 of the ABU's missing only a Volcanic and Tundra). Additionally, it would enable BUG variants of Nic Fit which are less popular but tend to perform much better and I already have the remaining BUG card base.
3. 4x Grove of the Burnwillows, 3x Liliana of the Veil. This turns on Modern Junk, as well as Jund in Nic Fit. It also puts me very close to Punishing Jund in Legacy as I would only be missing the Wastelands and an extra Badlands.
Eventually I'll make all of these purchases (probably one every 6 months) but my main goal is to limit paying extra in the future and somewhat playability. So, if you were me which one sounds like the best purchase first?

My suggestion would be option 2 to start with. Dual lands are only going one way - up. If you save up money the odds are exceedingly high that some or all of the Jund pieces you are looking for in 1 and 3 will be reprinted in Modern Masters 17. Patience is your friend on this one.

Generally, I'm in favor of the Revised duals options. I concur with Seal here - patience is your friend. SFM will drop to $15 later this year, as more GP promos swell the numbers. USea has been pretty stable since the EMA price spike. If EMA ends up pushing more people into Legacy the way that MMA pushed more people into Modern, then the price will rise again later this summer. If it doesn't, then the price will probably stay flat for a while. Either way, it's not going to crash. Pick up the Wastelands this summer, after EMA pushes their price down a bit. I know that this doesn't quite finish any decks immediately, but it saves you some cash.

Collected Company. Sell while it´s still a standard staple, or sit on it for two years and expect it to remain a modern staple?
Sit on it. It's an incredible engine card that will continue to get stronger as more 3cc creatures comes out. I'd be more worried about it catching a ban than losing status as a staple.
I just pulled a Russian Dragonlord Atarka. Should I sell it now due to standard demand or will it hold value through rotation?
Depends on how long you want to hold it. Dragonlords are very popular casual cards. If it's a foil, it'll probably do very well in appreciating over the next several years as people use it in EDH. In the long term (3+ years) it'll probably do well. On the other side, it's only worth $11 right now in russian. It'll probably lose $3 or $4 on rotation then slowly gain back.

Thanks for the help I have no idea how long I want to hold it, but I could potentially have a use for it in Commander in the distant future. Also, I'm in the UK which means my market is slightly different - our LGSs have no access to Russian cards, decreasing the local supply and making it more valuable than $11 for me (I could probably get £15 for it at the moment). It's not in foil so it won't appreciate as well, but I'd be happy to hold based on the possibility of trading it or perhaps playing it.
It's an OK deal, but not great. You might be able to negotiate 10% more off that, but $50/ea isn't bad - slightly below TCG low. I would imagine that if you wait a month or two, you might be able to save another 5-10% as the market opens up with fresh new EMA copies floating around.
What cash offer should I make for 2x NM Revised Badlands? TCGLow is $57 so is $125 a good offer or too high/low?
If you can get them for $125 that would be a steal. NM copies on TCG are going for about $75 / ea. I would offer $125 and see if they counter with something else. Worst case is they ignore you for lowballing them.
Hello just did EMA draft and pulled FOW (YAYY) most expensive single card i own(i know its sad QQ)
sell or sit on it?( i got no problem to wait some time is going near my dual land beauty's(cheap ones of)
I pulled a foil Karakas and was wondering if it should be sold or kept? The price is going down, but would it go back up after they stop printing?
Depends on your viewpoint. If you're thinking in the 1 year window, it'll probably go down. If you're looking at a few years down the line, it'll probably maintain. The Judge promo will be an upper bound on the card - it'll always be a less pimp version than the Judge foil.
Anyone know where Foil Force of Will is going? How much would it even go for towards a vendor?
Sparki's right. This is THE card from the set. Move it if you want to trade it for a deck, or sell it for cash if you want to make a car payment, but there's no reason to vendor it.
