I have a small collection of Foil Legacy stuff I'm thinking about selling. I live in a relatively rural area with no events close by. I've probably used the deck once in the past 6 months. I love Legacy, but I'd get a lot more use out of Modern stuff.
It includes
4 FNM STP
4 Foil Daze
4 Foil Masques Brainstorm
3 Judge Flusterstorm
3 FTV20: Jace
4 Planeshift Foil Meddling Mage
4 Foil Stoneforge Mystic (Pack Version)
1 Foil Betrayer's Jitte
4 Unlimited Tundra (MP)
3 Unlimited Volcanic Island (MP-SP)
4 Foil Deathrite Shaman
2 Judge Mishra's Factory
1 Plateau (Revised)
4 Foil Spell Pierce
1 Foil Council's Judgment
4 Signed Force of Will
4 Signed Foil M12 Ponder
4 Judge Foil Stifle
I have a guy interested in everything. I'm thinking about using the money to buy 4 Foil Tarmogoyfs (MM), 4 Foil Scalding Tarn, and 2 Onslaught Foil Deltas. The rest of the money I'd just hold onto. I'm looking for a bit of advice on whether or not it's wise to just offload everything, or if I need to hold onto my cards and hope they appreciate over time. Any advice?
I thought it could be cool to hold onto some in case I want to make a standard deck, but if they're gonna drop maybe I should unload now. I never really have the chance to play Standard, esp tournaments
@Twinsais
I would bet against each of those cards, especially the regular old rares, in the next few months. Drafters and expedition chasers are opening them like crazy. Return and Seer are unlikely to completely tank, but They're probably both near their ceiling.
Do you need $45? Expeditions are pretty pimp, and while Smoldering Marsh is definitely the red-black-headed stepchild of the lot, it'll be worth more than that down the road. If you do want the money, $45 is a good offer - they're less than $40 shipped on TCG player.
Although if that's a cash offer, sell the Marsh, then buy a better Expedition and hold on to that.

You can collect a full set of cards in Magic Online and redeem them for the physical cards. They'll be deleted from your account, you'll be charged $25 per set, and you'll get mailed the physical cards. A lot of people redeem full sets and foil sets and sell them. That puts a significant amount of product onto the market.

Anyone else notice the drop in prices with the BFZ Expeditions, particularly some of the most expensive ones (e.g. Scalding Tarn and Misty Rainforest)? I'm guessing the drop in Tarn is from the ban of Splinter Twin, but there are so many decks that would want that card that I can't imagine it will hamper the prices too much. But are these price drops temporary? I'm holding onto two Misty Rainforests, but if they are going to keep dropping, I may want to unload them now.
BFZ expedition values dropped as lot of interest went into the new ones and at the same time a large amount of product (2 packs of BFZ in each sealed pool) was opened at prereleases adding to supply. I believe that this drop is temporal and prices will start gaining again even before SOI is released.
On MCM and locally this was easily noticeable as lot of new sellers with just few cards listed suddenly had a single expedition on sale. I've been buying as many as I can for the last few weeks as after these sets become OOP the prices will start reflecting that no new supply will be forthcoming.
I'm holding all Expeditions for now and really like the Zen fetches as really good holds. The regular are gaining value and that usually reflects on the pimp versions after a while.
What do you guys think about buying karn liberated right now? Seems like he dropped a bit after his huge spike, but with tron so far not living up to the modern boogy man deck everyone expected it to be in light of banning twin, does it seem likely he'll drop more?

At $55, I don't think that he's a great buy. Sure, if you're going to play Tron, and you've decided that you're going to run him, then go for it. He's a legitimately good card. But as a spec target, I'll pass. He only has so much room to grow, and WOTC is more on top of prices these days. Obviously he just got a reprint, so WOTC recognizes that he's played, and that more copies ought to exist. Plus some people are going to be nervous about investing in Tron - with Pod getting the axe last year and Twin this year, Tron is looking like the next "fair" deck to see a banhammer.
Again, if you need a copy or two to play, that's fine, go ahead. If you're looking to buy a dozen and watch them double in price, I'd look at other cards.

Would you even keep less desirable expeditions? I have a Smoldering Marsh and a Rugged Prairie, I can get $45 and $60 for them and they see any eternal play at all. Doesn't seem like they'll gain much or very slowly as nobody plays them. Should I cash out now?

See my previous answer - they will go up, but if those are cash offers then take them and buy into better Expeditions.
If you're willing to sit on them for a few years, Expeditions will go up. All of them. It all depends on whether you want to play the waiting game (cash them out later for more money, or other cards) or cash them out now for cards that maybe will climb faster. They will all go up, but not necessarily skyrocket. In fact, a lot of them probably have pretty sluggish futures. So maybe you trade them now for ten copies of the card that you think will be the next Eye of Ugin. Or for a set of Scapeshifts because you've always been wanting to play that deck. It all depends on whether you want cards/cash now, or if you want to try to play the future value game.

I'm sitting on a pair of judge Crucible of Worlds, as well as a couple of non-promo ones. Thoughts?
Judge foils are almost always a Hold. I'd probably move the nonfoils (I've moved my spare nonfoil to my trade binder). A reprint in next year's theorized Modern Masters 3, or in a Commander deck will blow the price out of the water.

The eldrazi stuff are hitting modern and a ban will very likely going to hit it hard. Also, depends on the foil siege rhinos.. are they from the duel decks or are they ktk foils?
On a similar note... R/G Tron will likely get hit hard by a ban on Eye of Ugin (from what people have been complaining about) and I might just give it up. Worth selling the Karns, Ugins, and Burnwillows now or is there a possibility they may see growth in the future?

Tron will live, Eldrazi is a wave that will die specacularly once the mana base gets nuked, thus moving most of oath and almost all of bfz to the bulk bins of forgotten history much like Kamigawa block. It's sad, but I think I've accepted my Eldrazi deck is going to be stuck in the legacy pile if I don't clean house soon, and I'm not sure how to trade the cards up to get the ones I want for merfolk or better yet, Jund.
Or I can just trade the ugins for snapcaster mage. That probably is a sane thing to do now that I think on it...

I'd been seeing them for $12, so I think that $8 is decent if you want to flip it. It'll go down once MODO redemption starts.
