If you need them now to play pick them up . But if you can wait a good while they may drop but as long as atarka red is winning big events i don't see them going down for the near future.

Foil Lumbering Falls? Currently at $9. I have no use for foils and would happily ship it off on Puca, but $9 for a foil manland feels very low to me. Should I sit on this one a while?

If you can get $9 for it, I'd say go for it. They're available for $7.50 shipped on eBay, and the set will be opened for several more months. It may go up from $9, but it'll take either a long time or several high-profile wins.

If it's a pack nonfoil from Fifth Dawn, sell sell sell. It's due for a reprint, which will completely crash the price.
If it's a pack foil, keep it. It will (almost certainly) always be the "best" version.
If it's an Arena foil, I'd also keep that. It's almost as good as the pack foil, and will likely only go up as long as it's the best card filter/draw spell in Modern.
If it's the FNM foil, that's probably a sell, although it's nowhere near a sure thing. The new art is ... iconic, certainly, but I don't know very many people who like it. It'll probably be supplanted by a pack foil from the reprint.

I have a more unusual one: I have a full Death and Taxes list, sans 1 Karakas. I am not playing Legacy more than 2 times per year. I want to sell, but should I do it now or wait for an eventual increase? And when I do sell it, should I try to sell it as a complete deck or in individual pieces?
Karakas, Port, and Wasteland are the money cards here. To a lesser extent, SFM and the equipment too. So, the questions are, will they continue to rise? What will a reprint do to prices? Are they at all likely to be reprinted?
Karakas, Port, and Wasteland were all very recent judge promos, which really did nothing to the prices of the originals. Given WOTC's treatment of the judge foil Entomb (pushed back away from Graveborn so that it was more "special"), I'd say that those cards are probably reprint-proof for a year or so. Will they continue to rise? If the deck is competitive, yes. It won't be meteoric, but they're all very useful cards.
There's speculation of Wasteland in OGW. I could see it appearing as an Expedition - that would be thematic and in-flavor. But that's not going to do anything for the price of Wasteland any more than Scalding Tarn expeditions lowered the price of Zendikar Scalding Tarns, especially since there are already two judge foils and an MPR foil. I can see WOTC putting Wasteland in Standard, since it's so choked with duals, but I don't think that Modern gets Wasteland. Again, entirely speculation on my part - I don't think it'll happen. If I'm wrong and Wasteland is in OGW (probably as a rare? I can't see it at mythic), it'll crash like the ONS fetches to around $15. That's the risk (I'm presuming that you don't have a pimped version. If your lands are foils, then there is no risk to holding and they will increase faster).
Personally, I'd probably try to sell the cards individually. D&T is one of the decks that people can realize that they have half of just lying around, so most people won't be looking to buy the whole thing, just the expensive pieces. People may want the rest for other reasons, or if they're looking to build a budget version. I'd also probably try to sell now, just because cash now is always better than cash later.

Title says it all. I have the opportunity to pick up 4 NM Scalding Tarn's for 280. Should I do it? These weren't reprinted in BFZ, so I don't foresee a reprint until next year. It seems like a good price, but I'd like some second opinions.

Should I buy a Sylvan Library (4th Edition, NM) for $19 US?
It's not likely to get reprinted outside of a Commander release, so you're safe for at least another year. I'd say getting to play with it for a year is worth it.

With SFM being printed as the 2016 GP promo, should we try and get rid of our copies at their current price?
I'm curious as well. Here are my thoughts.
I feel like the Foil Worldwake copies will retain most of their price, if not all of it. As for the regular copies, I think that they will drop a little in the short run, similar to Griselbrand. But I feel like they will climb back up long term, especially when the GP Promo goes out of print. Short term, I do believe it's better to sell. But I don't think they will drop much - maybe 15%?

- Khans fetches - I've got a bunch of these I'm not using. Sell now and pick back up later around rotation, or just hold?
- Enemy pains - These are all pretty low, selling at ~1 tix or less. Seems like they could/should go up when the fetches rotate right?
- BFZ duals - Similar to the pains, mostly around 1 tix, some at 2-ish. These are basically at or near their lows, will they continue to drop leading up to rotation, or would it be wise to buy in now? (Lumbering Falls is also pretty low and in the same camp in my mind)
Basically wondering if I'd be better off converting unused fetches/tickets into those other lands right now, hoping to make some real gains after the next rotation.
I'm a paper trader, so take this with a grain of salt.
Fetches: MTGO is extremely liquid, but I have doubts about whether they'll drop enough to cover you trasnactional cost. If you can trade them at sticker price I would. The red fetches are closer to the blue ones than they should be, so red fetch + a few bucks of standard crap for blue fetch is also a good deal (this is what I'm doing with my excess paper fetches).
Pains: Might see modest gains post rotation; they're unlikely to drop much lower, even when they rotate themselves, so this is a pretty low risk target.
Battle Lands: Seems like a winner, but I wouldn't have expected them to bottom out this fast. I would be picking up paper ones at that price for whatever that's worth.

Foil copies will not be affected. Nonfoils will certainly drop - look at what happened to Griselbrand this year. He's now a sub-$15 pickup. The same thing will happen to SFM. Supply will go through the roof.

On Puca, at least, demand for SFM seems to be higher than average. I'm even seeing some people specifically adding bounties for her.
That's most likely on account of the speculation that the GPP promo (and comments surrounding it) could indicate a Modern unbanning of SFM. I'd probably only estimate the odds of that at 10-20% at most, but even so I picked up my set as soon as the speculation started just in case. I don't want it to get unbanned and then suddenly need to spend $200 minimum to pick mine up.
Since Legacy keeps its value up and it's a high-risk proposition, people aren't going to go and buyout TCGplayer or anything. But trading into your playset or a couple extra seems like a smart move, hence the Puca interest.

I'm looking to get 4 Pack Foil Jace, Vryn's Prodigy. I'm unsure on when the best time to buy is. Typically, I'd wait for it to rotate, but given how hyped up he is in Vintage/Legacy/Modern and the fact that he's "Jace" has me worried about him. Would it be best to just get them now so I can use them in Standard in the meantime?
No, I would continue to wait. His price is continuing to trend downwards and, pending some broken eternal deck, he will continue to do so until probably some time after rotation.

Ugin @ $40
Expedition Smoldering Marsh @ 45
Seems this might be the highest Ugin will ever get, and even at rotation it might be $30 at most so now seems like a good time to sell.
