I was just wondering, I read the TS books awhile ago so I may be wrong, but no one set out to look for Karn, or did they? I mean that's the only part that has continually bothered me, that Karn disappearing was so incomplete. Has there been any news since on him?
Not to mention he was about 300 years back in time.
Yeah, but even without his planeswalker powers he's still an immortal golem, so he can afford to take the long way back to the present. And remember: There was no body, which in serial fiction is a 100% guarantee that he's still out there.
We know that he's still out there and that he'll be pulled back to the present, but how will that take? We don't even know how long it took him to go back, we would assume it is a relatively short time, but I'm not so sure. And again, I bring back theory that despite losing his/Urza's/Glacian's spark, Karn can still planeswalk thanks to having the Weatherlight's planeswalking engine.

What I wonder is, couldn't he simply hide away for however long it would take to get back to the groups present? Unless eh came across a rather nasty fellow along the way, I imagine Karn would be able to survive until he naturally got back to time prime, I guess.

Wouldn't that put him back to Onslaught times? *lol* Never fear. I think Karn will pop-up somewhere in the Magic timeline again. He's a fairly interesting character and WoTC wouldn't leave him to molder. Hopefully anyway.

If I remember well, when Teferi and Jhoira land themselves back on Dominaria, someone tells them that they were gone far longer than they thought. I believe is was 300 years. Or maybe it was 300 MORE than what he thought he was gone for. In any case, Karn fled while being in the past, meaning he's even more difficult to locate.

Jhoira tells Teferi he's been gone for 300 years, as Teferi doesn't realize this when he returns. (TSP Novel) Jhoria never "lands" on Dominaria because she never left.
He had to go back to the time of the Tolarian time rift disaster, when the time machine that he used exploded and caused the slow-time and fast-time zones to appear. He was uniquely qualified to close the rift there, because of the various complications that have occurred to Tolaria (let's just say if you ever lived on Tolaria you were likely to have gone through at least two cataclysmic disasters), Karn had to go back in time to the precise instant the rift was generated.
In the process, presumably the corruption that first plagued him in the aftermath of the Onslaught cycle came back, and with a vengeance. And though he succeeded in closing the rift, he was also forced to isolate himself in order to battle his own inner demons, so to speak. So, my prediction is that:
a) Either he'll come back as a powerful, corrupted golem, on par with any *new* planeswalkers, or
b) he'll come back as either the normal Karn, the manisfestation of the Legacy (but probably not an *old* planeswalker).
Remember that the one thing of any interest that he stated before disappearing was that something he created had come back to haunt him. That would of course have to show up if/when Karn returns.
Personally I hope that the monster that Karn created is an aspect of himself that he doesn't like, an in a psychological battle he realizes he's in own worse enemy and disappears up his own bunghole. Honestly, Karn stopped being interesting the instant he became a planeswalker and started making probes capable of ending all life on Dominaria.

Karn created the Mirari, which in a roundabout way means he created Karona (very roundabout. The Mirari was in the pommel of Kamahl's sword when he struck Phage/Akroma/Zagorka with it). I predict another attempt to clean up the Karona mess. You may not like it, but I'm preparred for the worst.

Jace was an awesome character and the neo-walkers seem like they will be a good concept given what I read in Agents of Artifice.
Karn turned the Mirari into what became Memnarch, but at the end of Mirroden, the Mirari was returned to it's true (probe) form, right? Maybe it was still Memnarch trapped inside, and something happened and Memnarch is back (it's possible that the Mirari itself was still contaminated by the Phyrexian oil). Maybe it retained it's sentience and is attacking Karn (possibly to corrupt him, as well)?
