I'm sure this has been debated to death before, but I just have to ask: what the heck was Vektro supposed to be? I get that he was some sort of spirit or force of some kind that kept possessing people, but beyond that I have no idea. I've heard the term "body snatcher" used before, but it's still not definitive. Anyone know?
If I had to guess, I'd wager Vektro relates in some way to the force of red in Mirrodin. It seems reasonable, considering the card, and as the red sun ascended last yet still centuries before, it makes sense that if any bringer could endure, the red one would yet be a flicker of its old self. But like I said, I really don't know.
About any "subpar" mechanics or cards: Context is king.
If I make a templating or grammar error, let me know.
The franchise MtG most resembles is Battlestar Galactica. Why? Its players exist in, at most, a dozen different models at any given point in time, with perhaps up to 3% variation, 5% if you're lucky.
There's a thread down below that's specifically made for asking Cory Herndon, the writer of Fifth Dawn, any continuity questions. You'll probably have more luck there, and it will be straight from the horse's mouth.
The author of this post makes no claim that Mr. Herndon is in any way a horse.
