Ok so I have done a search and really didn't turn up much on this. It is a matter I am trying to explain to a friend of mine and this sounds correct to me.
My oponent has Thragtusk in play, I Wrath of God, and he flashes in Restoration Angel. What happens?
Here is how I see this. Restoration Angel will remove the Thragtusk, creating a 3/3 beast token, and before my Wrath has resolved, Thragtusk is returned to play, as the Restoration Angel says return it to play right then and there. End result, everything still dies to the Wrath as it never resolved until after the Angel's trigger resolved to return Thragtusk to play. Am I correct or will it survive the Wrath? If it were something like Otherworldly Journey and brought the creature back at a latter time I could see it, but the Angel should be returning it immediately to play.

It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom.
the red mage lives by the variance and dies by the variance. May the variance be with you, always.
You are correct on both accounts. Here's the breakdown.
You cast Wrath, pass priority.
Opponent casts Restoration Angel, passes priority.
You let Restoration Angel resolve.
Restoration Angel resolves and her triggered ability goes on the stack.
You both pass priority and the trigger resolves.
Thragtusk is removed from the battlefield and then put back on it.
Thragtusk's leave the battlefield ability and enters the battlefield ability are now put on the stack.
You both pass priority and they resolve.
You both pass priority again.
Wrath of God resolves. Thragtusk, Restoration Angel, and the token are all destroyed.
You are also correct in how Otherworldy Journey would interact with Wrath and Thragtusk, because it creates a delayed trigger that occurs after Wrath has resolved.
