If I have a solemn Simulacrum and have two global effects that make all my creatures have -2/-2
When I cast and have it resolve, it dies for having 0 toughness.
Is this checked before or after the enter the battlefield effect?
aka
does the leave battlefield and enter battlefield abilities trigger at the same time, and then I can choose how they go on the stack, or does it go
SS resolves
SS enters the battlefield
SS ETB trigger goes on stack
SBA are checked
SS is put into the graveyard
SS LTB trigger goes on the stack
Active player receives priority
Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
The abilities don't technically trigger at the same time, but they're placed on the stack at the same time. Solemn enters, the ETB ability triggers (but has to wait until a player would get priority to go on the stack), the game checks for SBAs and sees a creature with 0 toughness and puts it in the graveyard, the "dies" ability triggers (but has to wait until a player would get priority to go on the stack), the game checks for SBAs but there are none to perform, and finally the triggers are put on the stack in the order chosen by their controller. Then the active player gets priority before the triggers resolve.
