my opponent attacks with baneslayer angel and i block with acidic slime which has deathtouch. my opponent then uses an instant called puncturing light which destroys attacking or blocking creature with power 3 or less. would the baneslayer angel still be able to damage me because there is no longer a blocking creature or since a creature has been declared a blocker the acidic slime will still deal lethal damage because of deathtouch and the baneslayer wont damage me for 5?
Baneslayer angel has been blocked, and its blocker was removed. It will deal no damage.

An ability exists on the stack independently of its source. Removal of the source after that time won't affect the ability. Some abilities cause a source to do something rather than the ability. Any activated or triggered ability that references information about the source checks that information when the ability is put onto the stack. Otherwise, it will check that information when it resolves. If the source is no longer in the zone it's expected to be in, its last known information is used.
1) How are you blocking a flying creature with Acidic Slime?
2) Destroying the blocker after it's been declared does not un-block the creature. The Baneslayer deals no damage to you.
3) The Slime is gone before any damage could be dealt either by it or to it, because Puncturing Light already destroyed it.
4) Even if Puncturing Light wasn't involved, the Angel has first strike. It would kill the Slime before the Slime could deal any damage, so deathtouch is irrelevant.
No, once a creature becomes blocked it stays blocked until the end of combat, regardless of what happens to the blocking creature. The Acidic Slime will not deal damage. It's removed from combat when it goes to the graveyard.
I'm curious how you blocked Baneslayer Angel with a nonflying creature.

Ignoring the fact that Acidic Slime doesn't normally have flying, and it would not deal damage to Baneslayer Angel due to first strike anyway...
Once you have declared blockers, the creature will be considered blocked for the duration of combat. It will not deal combat damage if the blocking creature is no longer on the battlefield, unless that creature has trample.

Baneslayer was still blocked, and will deal no damage. You take no damage, your opponent gains no life; Baneslayer lives, because it wasn't around to be dealt damage by the Slime [even if it wasn't destroyed by Puncturing Light, Baneslayer would kill the Slime in the First Strike Damage step, before the Slime ever got to hit Baneslayer with deathtouch damage]
This would be different if your opponent's creature had trample; see, a blocked creature STAYS blocked for the whole combat, even if the blocker dies/is exiled/whatever. Normally, a blocked creature deals no damage, but a blocked creature with TRAMPLE will assign 0 damage to the blocker [since there isn't one, if it's destroyed before damage], and the rest can trample past.
Baneslayer doesn't have trample though, so you take no damage in this scenario, your opponent gains no life, and your opponent's Baneslayer lives.
thanks for all the answers everyone. lol and yes i realize now that acidic slime wouldnt be able to block but i couldnt find anything with deathtouch and flying
