I know that tapping a land for mana doesn't go on the stack, but does tapping for a fetch do?
Lets say I have an inactive vampire nocturnus on the field, and I crack my fetch to try to change the top card... can my opponent still bolt it in response or do they have to wait for me to fetch.
prob a stupid question but meh... would like to know.

Yes, its a triggered ability. the only thing that avoids the stack re: tapping is a mana ability (either on a land or on a creature like llanowar elves)
