hi since commandeer is worded gain control of target spell, when my opponent plays a brainfreeze do I gain control of it plus all storm copies? Or will it be just like a misdirection?
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.
oops sorry didnt know how to card tag cards, dont have that in the forum I post on. Anyway thanks so guess this crap aint better than misdirection after all.

Just so you know... Commandeer can target artifact or enchantment spells. Even Aura spells.
I'm just sayin'.

huh what you saying the card is in front of me and it says gain control of target non-creature spell(if the spell is an artifact or enchanment put it into play under your control.)

Additionally, I would like to add that Comandeer is very much better than misdirection, because you gain control of the spell, which is very good when shunting i.e. a Cranial Extraction. With misdirection the caster would get to choose the card (even if he became the target), but with Comandeer, you get to choose the card for him (and thus extracting something he or she has) - see?
He means that commandeer can take control of non-creature permanent cards...... )Artifacts and enchantments :p) as well as changing the target of a spell.

Just to clarify so people don't get the wrong idea: Yes, Commandeer can take control of artifacts and enchantments, while they are still on the stack. This will result in you controlling the permanent they resolve into. But you can't take control of a permanent which is already in play with Commandeer; it isn't a spell anymore at that point.
